Sharp a expus in mod regulat pe toata perioada carierei in multe institutii, inclusiv la Royal Academy. Ea a fost aleasa in Royal Society of British Artists in 1907 si in Royal Institute of Oil Painters in 1922 si timo de patru ani a fost presedintele Society of Women Artists. A avut prima prezentare ca artista femeie la galeria Connell in 1933. Dorothea Sharp a pictaat peisaje si naturi statice, insa e renumita pentru picturile cu copii de cele mai multe ori pe plajele din Cornwall unde a locuit langa St. Ives.Artista a murit pe 17 decembrie 1955.sursa
