These OOAK shoes are a true mystery! Found in Salem , VA they are in very good lightly worn condition Circa 1970s- they have a hippie era vibe! Salem , VA was the home of the Stuart McGuire shoe factory from mid 1960s- 90s. This company made a range of men’s and women’s shoes, but I have found NOTHING that looks like this pair They have Stuart McGuire inner soles- so I am guessing that perhaps they were a prototype of a design that was never marketed. The pair does not have a size marking, or the usual marks and details of a pair of shoes made on the mass market- they could have also been some kind of special order- I don’t know All leather construction with leather laces Shoes are riveted and nailed together , not sewn Lather sole has been nailed on Unlined and very simple style, with square toe and stacked low leather heel Dimensions- approx men’s size 11R Length of outer sole 12 1/2” Width of outer sole at ball of foot 4 1/2” Height of shoe from bottom of heel to back of ankle 4 1/2” please see all photos for details
