"Here, however, in depicting his own morbid experience, he has let go, and allowed the foreground figure to become distorted by the subjectivized flow of nature; the scream could be interpreted as expressing the agony of the obliteration of human personality by this unifying force."
This beautiful Peacock Rainbow Wrap Jacket took me about 6 weeks to complete, and it is so worth it! I have made several for myself, and receive so many compliments whenever I wear one. No two are quite alike. It is truly colorful, wearable art. From the neck down, it's 4" longer in the back (than in the front) measuring about 38" to the hem, wraps across your front, ties underneath, and fastens near your shoulder. Call it a cape or a poncho of sorts, it goes with leggings, long skirts, leather pants, or just jeans. I knitted it of gorgeous, thick, chunky, imported yarn by Noro, that costs many times more than your typical craft yarns do. It's 100% wool, and soft, not the least bit scratchy. It's of my own design, and features a high stand-up Ming the Merciless collar to flaunt. Texture was added by adding long eyelash yarn in complimentary colors to my pattern. Bold colors give your wardrobe a bright happy hue that will match everything, and not look boring. Because it's lacy, it can still be worn on a brisk spring day, or a cooler evening. You may want to wear some layers underneath, if it's really cold out. By adjusting the inner tie, and where you fasten the front, this can be worn by women of many shapes and sizes. By all means message me with your measurements, if you want to verify that it will fit you. Dry clean only. Best to keep folded, not hung. Hat is Not included. This has been sold in previous separate listing.
It's Free Pattern Friday! Today, 18 Petals in Classic Shades Big Time (pattern link here). What a neat design! It combines a soft, bulky yarn - Classic Shades Big Time - with a bright Spring colorway, the new 819 Botanica. It's a healthy dose of color as winter rears its head. Each of the 18…

Thank you again, for liking the shawl so much even before the pattern was online. I’m looking forward to see how it looks in different colors. And also, a big ‘thank you’ to my brave test knitters SaBin and sonni65 who had valuable suggestions to improve the instructions. I designed ‘Linientreu’ with the intention to find an alternative way to use yarns with short gradients (I can never resist to buy those!) without getting too many horizontal stripes. ’Linientreu’ (’In Line’) is a semicircular shawl, alternating equilateral triangles and simple garter stitch rows. The triangle modules are joined by knitting (no sewing necessary!) The right triangles at the border edge result from short rows. You can use any yarn with short gradients. Edit: Thanks to Marina Carelli bricci there is an Italian translation now. And Christine de Savoie Christine73 was almost faster than light providing a translation for the French knitters. Grazie et merci! In April 2017, Anu Koselka Kinski added a Finnish translation she did for her mother. In March 2018 DutchWoolDiva provided a Dutch translation.

The pattern is available in English and German. The same pattern can look very different when it is made of a different yarn and garnished with beads, glittering effects and crochet ornaments. To show this I created this new version of the scarf “Knitted Waves” - this time as a stole.
