They sure seem to go hand in hand! I have been working with both of those each day! It has been fun seeing the wool on my new fabric line! Up next is Ali Strebel! Be sure to click her link and head over to her blog and enjoy another day of SPRING inspiration!!! Don't forget to print off her recipe! Those biscuits sound super yummy!!! They would be great to add to your Easter menu! Also below is Ali's Q & A! Did you know she has been in business since 1986? Wow! I was still in high school and had no clue our paths would cross some day in such a great industry! So neat! Here is the link to click once you are ready to head her way for more spring goodness!!! http://alistrebel.blogspot.com/ Q & A Tell us briefly about yourself… Ali Strebel, mother of 4, grandmother of 10, been in business since 1986 and still love what I do. Favorite medium to work in? All things wool. What inspires you? The need to create, and loyal customers always wanting more. Indispensable tool? Quality materials Your design style in 3 words? Primitive, Folksy, Mixed Mediums On the drawing board? Several projects for up and coming workshops. You collect? Interesting antique textiles and sewing implements. On your bucket list? To travel more. We were just talking about wool... What about stitches on wool? I am a huge fan of the blanket stitch! Lately I have been noticing many variations of the stitch itself. I thought I would share a couple tutorials that I came across. Please click the link on the bottom for more info! I think these are very easy and doable. It never hurts to learn a new stitch or put a new twist on your current work! http://www.coletterie.com/tutorials-tips-tricks/tutorial-5-simple-blanket-stitch-variations Here are few more great stitches that ware fairly easy and again, would be a nice twist on your work! I also love the feather stitch. It comes in handy in many places. I always use it on a wing of a bird, for the veins in leaves and so much more! Nests! I think a very sweet and simply way to dress up anything for spring is by simply adding a nest and a couple vintage looking eggs! Another great way is to gather some of your favorite pieces and arrange them on a cake pedestal, old tray or vintage box like this example. And of course... don't for get the small quilt under it! That is the more important part! http://www.digsdigs.com/31-inspiring-rustic-easter-decor-ideas/ See you tomorrow as the "HOP" continues...
