Non-GMO, Open-Pollinated Zin Master Zinnia Seeds The Zin Master is a fabulous mix of ten varieties of zinnias. Featuring the California Giant, the Dahlia Flowered, the Pumila, the Lilliput, the Thumbelina and the Mexican Zinnia. Suitable to grow in all regions, this annual will thrive in sun or partial shade. Ideally plant a month after the last frost, if unexpected frost arrives, replant seeds. Summer planting is possible in regions of cooler temperatures, where temperatures do not hover above 80 degrees. Plant where sun is available throughout the summer and where there is a water source is nearby. Prepare site by weeding, removing debris and making space for your new flower bed. If soil needs amending, consider adding compost or other organic nutrient rich additives to the soil. Once you are ready to plant, broadcast seeds and mix with a carrier to help with even distribution. Sand or sawdust are an excellent neutral mediums, use a 5:1 ratio, sand to seed. Seed can be raked or mulched over, best to not plant deeper than 1/2”. If planting in pots, use an organic potting mix. Je mag zinnia's al beschut (serre, kas of in huis) al voorzaaien 4 weken voor je laatste vorstdatum (medio mei). Uitplanten, na afharden, kan je pas doen na het gevaar op vorst geweken is (na medio mei). Zinnia's zijn vorstgevoelig, ze kunnen dus geen (nacht)vorst verdragen. Standplaats zinnia's Zinnia's zijn oorspronkelijk van Mexico en staan dus liefst op een warme, zonnige plek. Een plaats in de volle zon (= minstens 6u rechtstreeks zonlicht) zal je de mooiste bloemen opleveren. Inhoud +/- 30 zaden per pakje

Zinnias are very cold sensitive, so wait until all danger of frost has passed before planting outside. Zinnias can also be direct-seeded into the garden once weather is consistently warm. Harvesting/Vase Life Use the “wiggle test”: Grab the stem about 8 in down from the flower and gently shake it. If the stem is droopy or bends, don’t cut yet. If the stem is stiff and remains erect, it is ready to harvest. Do not put in the cooler. Zinnias are notorious for making their water murky. To combat this, add a few drops of bleach to the water. Expect a vase life of 7 days.
