Orsaken till tystnaden här på bloggen är att om ca. 1 månad får vi en till liten person i vår familj. Så orken har inte räckt till både den dagliga familjerumban och bloggandet. Men jag vill ändå tipsa om hur jag gjorde en giftfri boveteskalsmadrass åt vår blivande bebis. Först hade vi tänkt beställa en kokos, bomull, ull madrass, men tyckte att priset var för högt för ca, 1 års användning. Så jag bestämde mig för att sy en själv. Boveteskal köppte jag 11 kg härifrån ( ca.40 euro,hälften gick till madrassen och resten räckte till 2 dynor också) .Av en väns moster fick jag köpa gammalt hemvävt oanvändt madrasstyg 5 m för 20 e ( varav hälften gick åt). Så kostnad för madrassen blev ca. budgetvänliga 30 euro. Jag mätte spjälsängen och plussade till 30 cm på längden och 10 cm på brädden. För madrassen krymper en hel del när man fyller den. Sedan klippte jag ut två bitar av tyget i de måttet, plus en 15 cm x 30 cm som blir som skydd för dragkedjan på insidan där dragkedjorna möts (bild 3), så att boveteskalet inte läcker ut. Jag sydde in två dragkedjor som möts på mitten längs ena långsidan. ( Men kunde likväl ha sytt in en lika lång dragkedja som madrassen, detta skulle vara smidigare, men tyvärr hade jag ingen så lång dragkedja). Sydde samtidigt fasst lappen som skyddar öppningen där dragkedjorna möts, vek lappen dubbelt först och sydde runt 3 kanter, vände den med sömmarna in, (som en ficka), sedan sydde jag fast den på avigsidan vid dragkedjsöppningen. Där efter sydde jag ihop madrassen som en påse från avigsidan. Öppnade dragkedjan, och vände madrassen in och ut, så rätsidan kom fram. Sydde sedan kanaler från rätsidan längs med kortsidan, 12 cm mellan varje kanal, men lämnade 5 cm mellanrum mot dragkedjan. Så kanalerna är fastsydda i ena änden men med 5 cm öppning till dragkedjan, så att boveteskalen kan vandra mellan kanalerna. (Hoppas ni förstår min flummiga beskrivning.) Sen fyllde jag madrassen med boveteskalen, med hjälp av en hink och en vikt pappersstrut. Började fylla i ena änden, så att jag kunde dra igen dragkedjan vart efter kanalerna blev fyllda. När jag kommit till mitten, drog jag upp hela den andra dragkedjan och började fylla den sista kanalen, för att sedan kunna dra igen dragkedjan vart efter jag hade fyllt kanalerna. Madrassen stödde jag upp med hjälp av stolar, så att den kunde stå på högkant medan jag fyllde. Hoppas ni har någon nytta av min beskrivning, även om jag inte har tagit bilder av arbetet steg för steg. :) Tids åtgång skulle jag säga är ca 1 1/2 timme sömnad, och en 1h för fyllningen. Är riktigt nöjd med resultatet, kunde ha en likadan madrass att vila på själv också :). Men när madrassen har användts klart kan den fungera som dagbädd, eller sista stationen i madrassens livscykel är komposten ( bortsät från dragkedjan). En zero waste madrass åt en liten eko bebis, de känns bra på alla vis. Nu får bebben snart komma och sussa sött på sin giftfria madrass <3.
