Chapter – 133 -Sri Vinaya Pathrika – Ramanama to get rid of grief of Samsara Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Jeeva, if you have no love or devotion at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Raghuram who is the ocean of mercy, then the rarest birth that has achieved as a human is worthless. The Parmalabha/fruitfulness of the birth as a human is the achievement of Ananya Bhakti at the lotus feet of Supreme Lord. The fortunate and intelligent Jeeva abandons the Vishayavisha/toxic poison like the interest in worldly matters, attachment to material matters, money, wealth, richness, fame, possession, wife, children, relatives, and companion as a Trina/grass, and undertake austerities of Sathyam, Dhaya, Dhanam, Shaucham, Shamam, Dhamam, Arjjavam, Dhanam, Astheyam, Ahimsa Bhramacharya, Swadhyaya, Athmavichara etc. and contemplate upon that supreme Lord Sri Ramachandra and achieves the fruitfulness of life. The unfortunate Jeeva drenched in the worldly matters, swollen with Ahamkara and Mamakara, ego, lust, desire, anger, jealous and pride engages in various immoral deeds and accumulates sins, thereby hurl into constant miseries and grief, and eventually pushes to the vicious cycle of Janana Marana. Oh! Jeeva, without the pure love and devotion at Lord Sri Ramachandra, the rest of the Sadhana, Yoga, Japa, Thapa, Vairagya, Yajja, Gnana, etc. are worthless, cannot bring the serenity of mind and bliss/Moksha and any Sadhana without devotion are waste of time, energy, and wealth, like the waves of Mrigathrishna. The auspiciousness of the Jeeva vested in the achievement of knowledge from Veda, and Purana, and the Santhbhrindh, Mahatmas, and living under the guidance of a preceptor, taking up the austerities, and Shamadhamadhis, and practice pure love and devotion at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Ramachandra, and it is the treasure house of auspiciousness. Oh! Jeeva, if you have understood clearly about the fruitfulness of life, leave your Ahamkara, Mamakara, interest in worldly matters and attachments to material matters and people, and take shelter at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Ramachandra that would bring all the auspiciousness in your life. Chapter – 128 -Sri Vinaya Patrika – The attachment to Shabdha, Sparsha, Rasa, Roopa and Gandha are the same as walking on the uneven pathways, which could give sudden jolt Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Jeeva, keep reciting the Ramanama, otherwise, you will get trapped in the Mahamoharoopi Mrigathrishna of Samsara, after that it would be very difficult to get rid of the Samsara, and you can’t protect yourself from the afflictions. The Samsara is a dangerous shackle, cannot get rid of without the Athmajjana, it hurls the Jeeva into the vicious cycles of repeated births. If you keep reciting the Ramanama, the Mayajanitha Vishayavisharoopi enemies of Samsara can’t get hands on you. Oh! Jeeva, we have achieved the rarest birth as a human according to our previous Karma and the attributes,/ Poorva Janmakritha Papa and Prarabhdhakarma, that was due to ignorance and the interest in worldly matters, Ahamkara, Mamakara, Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, and Mathshcharya, and it is all Avidhyajanitha Moha,/ all those impurities were caused by the lack of knowledge of ‘self’, Jeevathma and Paramathma, the indestructible Purusha resides as a soul in the Jeeva, and the destructible Prakrithi/material matters and people. The dullness/ignorance in the Jeeva compels to perform morally wrong and unwarranted deeds, that could throw them into deep distress and vicious the cycle of Janana Marana. The increased interest in worldly matters, possession, richness, wealth, money, fame, Ahamkara, Mamakara, causes the Indhriyas gets uncontrolled, easily wedged in the infinite Nama Roopa Dhrishya, which are mere illusions. It compels the Jeeva to perform various religious and spiritual rites for the personal gain or fame, Dharma, Arththa, and Kama, leaving the Mokshaprapthi, or sometimes the Indhriyas chases after the voluptuous body of the woman, hence the interest in worldly matters and attachment to Shabdha, Sparsha, Rasa, Roopa, and Gandha is the same as walking on the uneven pathways, that could give sudden jolt. Samsara is the bed of spike coated in toxic poison, need to be watchful, whoever drenched in the Mahamoha Mrigathrishnaroopi Samsara get shackled by the Vishayavisha, Ahamkara, Mamakara, get attached to worldly matters and people, undergoes constant suffering, grief, and pain, eventually the Bhagavathprapthi becomes impossible. The fruitfulness of human life is achieving the Paramarththa Thaththva, the interest in worldly matters and attachments sieve off the opportunity to achieve the Bhagavath Prapthi to the ignorant Jeeva who is drenched in Ahamkara and Mamakara. The Santhsamagama, Sadhusanga becomes too remote for the Vishayi Jeeva, Oh! Ignorant, it is difficult to get released from the shackle of Samsara, the Vishayavisha hurls you to fall in different Yonis and undergo Garbhavasa Dhukham. Oh! Jeeva, you have no idea how many births you have taken, and how much sufferings you have gone through, how many relations you have formed in each birth, etc. It is impossible to achieve Bhagavath Prapthi without pure love and devotion at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Ramachandra. Oh! Chapter 169 – Sri Vinaya Patrika – Sri Ramanama Mahima Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “There is no deity as compassionate and kind as Lord Sri Ramachandra, he is the Lord of distressed and desolate Jeeva, his compassionate grace is enough to create miracles in the life of them. All the creatures of Lord Bhrama strive hard to achieve all that desired, and no one will do favors without any selfish motive. Lord Sri Ramachandra was most promising to Kol, Bheel, Vanara, Rakshasa, etc. taken shelter at his lotus feet was well protected and taken care of, would it be possible for any other deities to take care of them? The sacred name ‘Rama’ uttered carelessly or in anger would provide fruitful results to Jeeva, it would remove Papa/sins and impurities in the Jeeva. Oh! Prabho, I have been drenched in Vishayavisha, Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya, Ahamkara and Mamakara, seeking material welfare and bodily pleasure, soaked in Mahamoha and I have been wicked in all life to my Master Lord Sri Ramachandra. Oh! Prabho, Oh! Pranatharththihara, Oh! Prabho is there any deity who dearly love and rush to protect the distressed Jeeva, leaving the fortunate ones behind? The female demon Poothana approached the infant Krishna to feed her poisonous bosom, surprisingly, Poothana has achieved the status of your mother Devi Yasodha by feeding the Kripalu Yadhavendhra Sri Krishna, who pulled out the Prana from her bosom, and liberated her from the Samsara. Oh! Prabho, you have been so kind to the Kamamohith Gopijana of the Vraja enlightened them with the knowledge of Paramarththa Thaththva/Jeevathma is Paramathma, thus you have alleviated their pain of separation from you, later the Jagathpitha Lord Bhrama highly eulogized the devotion of those cowherds of Vraja, and adorned the dust from their feet on his forehead. Oh! Prabho, Shishupala who was taking great pleasure in abusing you on a regular basis, achieved Paramagathi in the large assembly of Rajasuya of Pandava, while everyone was watching, his soul merged in you. Oh! Prabho, the hunter Dharuka who shot an arrow on your thumb of the foot got relieved from the Samsara, though he mistook your thumb as the Hiran/deer and shot an arrow was attained your supreme abode. Oh! Prabho, there were several Jeeva who committed various sins got liberated at your lotus feet, and they have performed Punya and Papa as well, therefore they deserved to achieve Sadhgathi. Oh! Chapter – 4 – Sri Yogavashista Saram – 31 – 43 Sage Vashishta speaks “Oh! Rama, the Athmajjani/Bhramavithth do not take pleasure in the Anathmavasthu/body, wealth, money, richness, fame, possessions, and attachment to people, they get rid of interest in worldly matters, bondage, body and I consciousness, all those impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, and Mathshcharya, like the serpent shred its outer skin effortlessly which was considered as ‘body’. The ignorant get attached to the material matters, richness, fame, money, wealth, possession, people etc. and undergoes constant miseries and grief, the permanent loss of wealth or people, aging, illnesses, and death, would make realize the misconception about the fleeting nature of the same, ultimately, they abandon the interest in the worldly matters and bondage like the serpent shred its outer skin. The Yogi undertake strict austerities, disciplines, Shama, Dhama, Sathyam, Shaucham, Dhaya, the vow of silence, observance of celibacy, immerses in the Athmavichara, and Swadhyaya, contemplation and meditation upon the supreme Bramham resides as soul, and get rid of impurities/Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya, body and I consciousness, interest in worldly matters and bondage becomes GunaDhosharahitha/neither impure nor pure, roam around freely and fearlessly like a child. Oh! Raghava, The Universe and it's living and non-living things are the essence of that supreme Bhramam, it is omnipresent, like the fire in the wood, statue in the rock. The universe and its living beings initiated has no existence without that supreme Bramham. The Jeeva vested on that supreme Bhramam, and the Athman is self-illuminating spread its radiance/energy so that the functioning of the body, intellect, mind, Chithth, Ahamkara, Karma, and Gnanendhriyas takes place. Oh! Rama, the Jagath/Universe and the infinite Nama Roopa Dhrishya are an illusion, is Kalpitha/imagined, as the small waves in the pond have fleeting nature, the waves keep appear and disappear, in the same manner, the Jagath/infinite Nama, Roopa, Dhrishya keeps appear and disappear is Sankalpa Vikalpa. Oh! Raghava, the supreme Bhramam is all-pervasive, Chithdhroopa/pure intellect, Chidhabhasa/bliss, Sarvabhoothavabodha/supreme consciousness, Paramashantha/serene, Sarvathravasthitha/omnipresent, therefore ‘Sarvam Bhramamayam’. I am that Chithdhroopa Paramathma Parambhramam/Aham Bhramasmi, the all-pervasive Bhramam is Sarva Vikalpa Nirmuktha Parameshwara Paramathma. Oh! Rama, the Maya/illusion is Jagathroopini, is all-pervasive like that Purusha, like the Jala Budhbudha/water bubbles, that has fleeting nature. The Raga, Dhvesha/Kama, Krodha, Madha, Moha, and Mathscharya are like the venomous serpent living in the hole, as long as it is in the hole it does not harm anyone. The Yogi and Mahathma get rid of these toxic poisons of Ragadhvesha with the austerities, Tapasya, the vow of silence, meditation, and contemplation upon that Bhramam. Oh! Rama, the fury is like Badavagni/colossal fire, the body is like the vast ocean, the Jeeva who has perfect control over anger get freed from the intensity of it, and win over the Mrithyu. The lust and desires inflict excruciating pain in the Jeeva, finally hurls into Mrithyu, like the Til/sesame seeds crushed under the wheel. The Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, and Mathshcharya destroys the purity of the intellect and hurls the Jeeva into complete darkness. The Athmajjani/Bhramavithth, get rid of these impurities following the austerities remain free from the hellish tortures of the above. Oh! Rama, I shall describe the evilness that takes away the serenity of mind and push the Jeeva into hellish tortures 1) Dhurarththa/the wealth earned in immoral ways, wealth confiscated forcibly, wealth and possession obtained in crooked ways 2) Dhurarambha/the treacherous plan to obtain wealth or plotting against the innocent to abduct wealth, fame, richness, etc. or putting others into trouble and make a profit out of it or employ evil-minded to abduct the wealth of others 3) Dhurguna/wicked nature, finding means to steal others wealth, money, richness, fame, etc. or finding pleasure in other’s fall 4) people who follow immoral ways to take away the wealth and possession of others, cannot achieve serenity of mind, ultimately pushes into Mrithyu. Kripasindhu, kindly shower your compassionate grace on me, Oh! Prabho, I have no one other than you to protect me from the sufferings of Samsara, I have taken shelter at your lotus feet, my mind and intellect has become impure, soaked in the infinite Vishayavisha, Ahamkara, Mamakara, Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, and Mathshcharya, who will purify my intellect? Whom do I take shelter? Oh! Prabho, you are too kind to even to the rock, you have liberated Gautamapathni Devi Ahalya from the curse, at the touch of dust particles from your feet, got relieved from the rock and regained a gorgeous appearance. Oh! Prabho, you have protected the Yajja of Maharishi Vishwamithra, from the trouble of haughty demons in the forest, in the same manner, I wish you would protect me from my Yajja of Premaroopi devotion at your lotus feet, kindly remove my impurities, lust, desires, ego, anger, and jealousy, so that I can achieve Ananya Bhakti at your lotus feet. Oh! Prabho, the Kalikalaroopi evilness creates huge obstacles to my Premaroopi Yajja at your lotus feet, I am horrified by the Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Madhshcharya, Ahamkara, Mamakara of the demons like Thadaka, Mareecha, Subhahu, etc.. kindly destroy the evil demons and provide me Ananya Bhakti at your lotus feet. I am tortured by the Kutila Karmaroopi/evil deeds of the powerful Vanara King Bali. Oh! Lord of distressed Jeeva, kindly provide shelter at your lotus feet, the way you have killed Bali and protected Sugreevah from the troubles. Oh! Prabho, kindly protect me from the sufferings of Samsara, kindly provide shelter to hide at the shade of your powerful arms. Oh! Prabho, the evilness of Kali, and the sufferings of Samsara, Mahamoha torturing me like Ravana who humiliated his younger brother Vibheeshana, and exiled from the city of Lanka. Oh! Lord of Tulsi, I am suffering from the Thrividha Thapa of Samsara/Adhidheivik/grief of natural calamities, drought, flood, etc. Adhyathmik/ the grief of aging, illness, and death and Adhibhauthik/grief caused by the attachment to material matters and people, Oh! Chapter – 131 -Sri Vinaya Pathrika – Ramanama is the savior in the Kali era Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Neech/ignorant Jeeva, if you have no love or devotion for Janakinath Sri Ramachandra, how could you achieve well-being and Paramarththa Thaththva? The evilness of the Kali era has destroyed the welfare in the Iha/life on the Earth and Paraloka/life after the Earth as well. In this Kali era, the Varnna/Bhramin, Kshatriya, Vaishya, Shudra and Ashrama/Bhramacharya, Grihastha, Vanaprastha and Sanyasa, Dharma/duties and responsibilities of Varnna and Ashrama prescribed in the Veda and Scriptures can be seen only in the sacred texts. The people have lost devotion and faith, and belief in the scriptures and Veda, Varna, Ashrama, Dharma, a very few have faith in performing religious and spiritual rites, that too for personal benefit. Jeeva has become Karththvyaheena/lost interest in the performance of duties and responsibilities prescribed in scriptures. The Veda and scriptures recommend several Yajja, and Sadhanas for the welfare of the Universe and its living beings, provides Dharma, Artha, Kama, Moksha/Purusharththa to the Jeeva. Alas! all those rites are performed without the pure love and devotion at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Ramachandra, /Bhagavathprema Viheena Karma yearning for personal gain would be like the beautiful pond without water. The spiritual and religious rites/ Kriya performed Bhagavath Premaviheena, and the Kriyas performed not for Eshwararththa would not bring any fruitfulness, and it would be a mere show-off. There are several ways/Sadhana to get rid of sufferings of Samsara, impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya, Ahamkara, and Mamakara, get rid of interest in worldly matters and attachments to wealth, money, fame, richness, wife, children, relatives and companions, etc. Oh! Chapter – 147 -Sri Vinaya Pathrika – Ramanama Mahima - The recitation of Ramanama to get rid of Garbhavasa Dhukham Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Prabho, how did I appeal to you? Whenever I think of the sins committed by Man Vachana and Karma, I feel so disappointed and embarrassed, instantly the courage I have gathered to take shelter at your lotus feet slip out of my hand, I feel ashamed and guilty of myself. Alas! I am not ashamed of revealing myself as your sincere devotee, singing in praise of your endless glories before the world, in a sweet tone, sadly in the very next moment, I indulge in Vishayaroopi Samsara, Shabdha, Sparasha, Rasa, Roopa, Gandha, unfortunately! my mind and intellect, Karma and Gnanendhriyas are not under my control, it keeps chasing after the material and bodily pleasure. Oh! Prabho, I present myself as a sincere devotee before the crowd, attired in crisp clothe, adorned in Tulsi beads on the neck, decorated beautiful vermilion and sandal paste on the forehead, singing in praise of your glories in melodious tone like a Mahathma, unfortunately, my mind and intellect has not stopped seeking pleasure in the worldly matters, and infinite Nama Roopa Dhrishya. Oh! Oh! Rajan, the Jeeva who is Nishkama/has no desires, does not find differentiation in matters, or good or evil, King or beggar, hence they shine always. Oh! Rajan, Yogi is disciplined, innocent, enthusiastic, and Nishkama/free from desires, is beyond control, or self-control, and knowledge in scriptures and Veda. Oh! Rajan, Jjyani takes pleasure in the contemplation of supreme Bhramam resides as soul, lead a contented life, free from desires and afflictions, therefore it is impossible to describe the state of a Jjyani. Oh! Rajan, a Jjyani while immerses in Sushupthi, remain free from it, if in Swapnavastha remains free from it, and Jagrathavastha also remains free from it. He is beyond Sushupthi, Swapna, Jagrathavastha, he remains contented always. Oh! Rajan, Jjyani is free from thoughts, Indhriyas, intellect, and Ahamkara, in the sense he is free from the redundant thoughts, impurities of Indhiryas, intellect, and Ahamkara. Oh! Chapter – 124 -Sri Vinaya Pathrika – The significance of Bhakti, Gnana and Vairagya Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Hari, I haven’t taken up any austerities, Sadhana, Athmavichara, Swadhayaya, Sathyam, Shaucham, Dhaya, Ahimsa, Astheyam, Bhramacharyam, Dhamam, Shamam, etc. that makes you highly pleased, even after all these, I am not ashamed to introduce myself as a devotee of you. I haven’t disappointed to leave the association of Santh, Mahathma, noble-souls, who immerses in the Athmavichara and Athmamanthan and addressing myself as your sincere devotee. The Muniganas, Santh, Mahathma who undertakes strict austerities, Japa, Thapa, Dhyana, and achieve that Sacchidhanandhaswaroopa Paramathma Parambhramam abandons the interest in worldly matters, Ahamkara, Mamakara, Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya, and immerses in the supreme bliss. Oh! Prabho, I am ignorant, drenched in Ahamkara and Mamakara, wicked and immoral, how did I achieve that eternal bliss Paramathma Paramambhramam? The Paramathma is pure bliss, unblemished, free from afflictions, changeless, and indestructible, Oh! Prabho, my mind is impure and sinful, hence I feel perplexed, how did I achieve that supreme Bhramam with the impure mind, because the Swan does not approach the pond where the pelican, crane, Vanaras, animals, and reptiles take shelter in it. Oh! Prabho, my mind is impure with the Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya, Ahamkara and Mamakara, cannot experience the presence of Paramathma/Bhagavan in it. Oh! Prabho, you have chosen to reside in the shrine-like hearts of the Muniganas, Santhbhrindh who are free from the impurities, Ahamkara and Mamakara, performs Nishkamya Karma/rites perform as Eashwararththa, undertakes various Sadhana, Japa, Thapa, achieves Bhakti, Gnana, Vairagya. The Santh Mahathma takes up a journey to various Theerthas and Shrine, take shelter in these Theerthas to get rid of Thrividha Thapa, Oh! Prabho, I haven’t practiced any of those, if that happens, my heart gets swollen with Ahamkara, Lobha, ignorance, etc. Alas! wherever I go my mind and intellect does not get freed from the grief, Ahamkara, Mamakara. Oh! Prabho, I am giving long lectures on pure devotion and urges the Jeeva to follow Bhakti, Gnana, Vairagya, and take shelter at the feet of Santh, Mahathma who are the safest ferry to cross the grief of Samsarasagara. Oh! Hare, I haven’t followed any of the things I have preached, all that I want to achieve auspiciousness. Oh! Prabho, I am helplessly worn out of miseries and sorrows of worldly existence, no one to protect me, although I am unmerited, I introduce myself as a devotee of you. Oh! Raghunath, Oh! Prabho, the most beautiful and rarest birth as a human achieved with the piousness of several births, that has been gone out of hand without the knowledge of Paramarththa Thaththva, the knowledge of ‘self’, Athma/soul is Paramathma who is indestructible Purusha, and all the material matters/Prakrithi is destructible. The Sacchidhanandhaswaroopa Paramathma Parambhramam resides as the soul is pure, eternal bliss, free from afflictions, has neither birth nor death. Oh! Prabho, the evilness of the Kali era has multiplied, the childhood days were spent on silly activities and consuming meals, the youthful days were spent on chasing for bodily pleasure and for the company of attractive woman, old age was spent on the pain of separation from wife, children, relatives and companion, and various illnesses, anxiousness, and fear of death. Oh! Prabho, the impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya, Ahamkara and Mamakara did not allow me to take pleasure in the association of Santh Mahathma, noble-souls, unfortunately, without the association of Santh Mahathma it is impossible to listen to the glorious myths of Lord Sri Ramachandra, or practice Bhakti, Gnana, Vairagya, or achieve the knowledge about the significance of practice Bhakti on Lord Sri Ramachandra. Oh! Prabho, the latter years of age is extremely painful, the Jeeva undergo excruciating pain of separation from children, wife, relatives, and companion, wealth, possession, richness, fame, etc. constantly undergo troubles from various illnesses, fear and anxiousness of death, and grief of isolation. Oh! Chapter – 143 -Sri Vinaya Pathrika – The definition of Mahapurusha Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Jeeva, take up the practice of devotion, fix your mind and intellect on the lotus feet of Lord Sri Ramachandra, as it gets easily wedged on the materials matters, wealth, richness, fame, money, possession, attachment to children, wife, relatives, companions, etc., and the infinite Nama Roopa Dhrishya of the Samsara. The practice of worship and devotion at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Raghunath removes the Dhvandhabhava/dualities of grief and joy, happiness and sorrow, respect and disrespect, the impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya, Ahamkara, Mamakara, etc. ultimately get rid of the interest in worldly matters and Shabdha, Sparsha, Rasa, Roopa, Gandha, thereby the constant fear, anxiousness, and grief of Samsara vanishes. Oh! Jeeva, surrender at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Ramachandra who is Anandhaghana Chathurashiromani Kosaladheesha to achieve the serenity of mind, get rid of grief of Samsara and Samsara Chakra/Garbhavasadhukham. The fortunate Jeeva undertakes Shama, Dhama, Sathyam, Dhaya, Dhanam, Shaucham, Astheyam, Ahimsa, Bhramacharyam, Arjjavam etc. and get rid of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya, Ahamkara, and Mamakara, and worships Janakipathi Lord Sri Ramachandra and his devotees, preceptor, Santh Mahathma thereby achieve the grace of the supreme Lord. These fortunate Jeevas are Mahapurusha achieves Gnana, Bhakthi, Vairagya, Nirvikara, Nishakalanka/unblemished, Nirmala/pure, perceives the all-pervasive Bhramam in the living and non-living things, get rid of Shoka, Moha, Bhaya, Thapa, Maya, /Thrividha Thapa, and fearlessly roam all over the Earth, without 'I or body' consciousness, immerses in the Athmamanthan/Bhramajjana, remains in supreme bliss. Oh! Oh! Jeeva, no creature is free from Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya, hunger, thirst, sleep, and fear, etc. The superior life as a human is extremely rare to achieve, hence the deities and Santhbhrindh appreciate the birth of humans, which is available after an abundance of piousness achieved in the previous births, along with the grace of Janakinath Sri Ramachandra, hence the fruitfulness of life is Bhagavath Prapthi/devotion. The human life without the devotion at the lotus feet of Lord Hari, even after achieving an attractive appearance, flawless limb, intelligence, attentiveness to parents, courage, fearlessness, etc. considered as the bitter fruit of Indhrayan. Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Prabho, I have no one to lean on, hence I have already taken shelter at your lotus feet. Oh! Prabho, I have no Sadhanaroopi wealth of Bhakti, Gnana, Vairagya, not even in my dreams. Oh! Prabho, I have not taken up austerities, vow, Astheyam, Sathyam, Ahimsa, Dhaya, Shaucham, Dhanam, Shamam, Dhamam, Bhramacharyam, Athmavichara, Swadhyaya, etc. which is the only way to get rid of the sufferings of Samsarasagara. Oh! Prabho, I am getting tortured by the Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya, Ahamkara, Mamakara, day and night, alas! why I am not getting rid of this body which is a bundle of excreta, at this moment, I am worn out of all those impurities, lost serenity of mind, exhausted of redundant thoughts, I have no other way to get rid of the grief of Samsara, unless and until I achieve your Kripa. The Veda, Scriptures, and Mahathmas loudly speaks about the Samsara is nothing but an ocean of grief, it is the reservoir of Papa, even after knowing all these why I am so drawn towards the toxic poison like Vishayavisha? Oh! Hari, wasn’t that your trick on me? If not, why I am constantly getting drawn towards the worldly matters, Shabdha, Sparsha, Roopa, Rasa, and Gandha,? Oh! Prabho, if you have desired, you can transform the toxic poison into nectar, and you can transform the fire into ice, in the same way, you can make this Jeeva cross the ocean of Samsarasagara without the flight too. Oh! Kripalu, Oh! Paramahithakari, Oh! Prabho, you are too kind and compassionate to your devotees, hence it is difficult to find a deity like you. If I did not achieve your Kripa, or I did not take up the practice of pure devotion and love, then I would be the superior most dull Jeeva. Oh! Prabho, Oh! Raghunath, I have abandoned interest in worldly matters, Vishayavisha, Ahamkara, Mamakara, etc., and taken shelter at your lotus feet, Oh! Prabho, I haven’t taken up Sadhana, Sathyam, Dhaya, Shamam, Dhanam, Shaucham, Ahimsa, Astheyam, Bhramacharyam, Arjjavam, Thithiksha, Dhrithi, Kshama, etc. I have been drenched in the interest in worldly matters and attachment to people, infinite Nama Roopa Dhrishya, I have lost serenity of mind, swollen with Ahamkara, Mamakara, Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Masthscharya, etc. but greedily earn to achieve that Paramathma Premasukha which is beyond Moksha. I have no one to express my desires, will they listen to this Sadhanaheen Tulsi? Oh! Prabho, I have been hurling into different Yoni, taken several births as an animal, birds, Manushya, Keeta, Devatha, Rakshasa etc. and undergoing excruciating pain and grief of Samsara, Oh! Prabho, I do not yearn for Purushararththa, which is beyond my reach due to the absence of austerities and Tapasya, you are capable to provide whatever you feel appropriate. Oh! Prabho, my desire is neither Moksha nor Purusharththa, all that I want to remain as your playmate, like a doll/ Pakshi, Pashu, Vriksha, Pathanga, pebbles, etc. in your hands. Oh! Chapter 175 – Sri Vinaya Patrika – Prakrithi/material matters and people are ephemeral brings momentary happiness – Athman/soul is Paramathma which is indestructible Purusha brings permanent bliss Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Jeeva, the intellectuals say, if you do not understand the Paramarththa Thaththva/Jeevathma is Paramathma, Prakrithi is destructible and the Paramathma is indestructible Purusha, then all your Karma and Dharma would remain laborious, never become fruitful. The knowledge of ‘self’, Paramathma resides as a soul in the Jeeva, would destroy the impurities, Ahamkara, Mamakara, and interest in worldly matters, etc. The knowledge of Paramarththa Thaththva would bring Karyasidhdhi/fruitfulness of Karma and Dharma. The Veda and Purana describe the legends of various deities, Siddhas, Muneeshwar, Yogis, who contemplate upon the indestructible Purusha, abandoning the destructible Prakarithi/worldly matters and attachment to people, achieved bliss. In their opinion the Prakrithi/material matters have fleeting nature, hence attachment to material matters such as wealth, money, richness, possession, fame, attachment to wife, children, companions, and relatives, etc. are ephemeral brings momentary happiness, and brings intense grief and agony. Oh! Prabho, which could provide permanent happiness other than reciting your names, listening to your glorious myths, serving preceptors, Santh Mahathma, and noble – souls? The Vyadh/hunter Valmiki, Gajaraj, Jatayu, twice-born Ajamila, like crores of sinful Jeeva taken shelter at your lotus feet and achieved the serenity of mind, and liberation from the Samsara. Oh! Prabho, you are too kind and compassionate, do not look on the mountain-sized sins of your worshiper, all that you do highly praise the smallest virtue of your devotees to the size of mount Sumeru. Oh! Why should I beg for protection from the sufferings of Samsara? Ahamkara, Mamakara, impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya, interest in infinite Nama, Roopa, and Dhrishya? Oh! Prabho, you are Pathithapavana, there is no deity as kind as you to the distressed Jeeva, you have taken the vow to protect the distressed Jeeva who have taken shelter at your lotus feet. Oh! Prabho, who provided Paramadhama to the twice-born Ajamila who was called out for his younger son ‘Narayana’ due to love for his son/Puthramoha? Oh! Prabho, there are prominent deities Lord Bhrama, Lord Vishnu, and Lord Indhra, as Lokapalas, but you are the one who protected the elephant Gajendra cried out for help while sinking in the Shokaroopi river, you have rushed to Gajendra and removed his agony leaving behind your celestial vehicle Garuda. Oh! Prabho, Devi Draupadi was humiliated in the huge assembly of Kaurava, Dusshasana dragged her on hair and pulled out her clothes while the prominent and elderly members like Bhishmapithamaha, Dhronacharya, valorous Kurus, and Pandavas were present, unfortunately, none could protect her from the shame, she called out for you “Oh! Prabho, kindly protect me”, Oh! Prabho, who did provide mountain-sized clothes to her? Oh! Karunasagara, how did I praise your compassions and kindness with one face? You are the ocean of virtues, Oh! Kosaladheesha, you have assumed various forms to protect your devotees, you haven’t rejected a single Jeeva who have taken shelter in you. Oh! Chapter – 123 -Sri Vinaya Patrika – Ramanama Mahima – The evilness of Kali era Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Jeeva, the recitation of Ramanama would cleanse the mind and intellect, it would remove the impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya, Ahamkara and Mamakara. In this Kali era, the practice of Yoga and Yajja has become fruitless, because of the impurities of the place, doer, and the ingredients, hence practicing the same would be like holding the portrait of the Surya to get remove the darkness. The Karma/performance of rites has become the same as the tree full of flowers, but cannot yield any fruits, in addition to it the Dhamba, Lobha, and Moha have multiplied, hence the whole purpose of Karmic rites becomes worthless. In the Kali era, the Moksha Sadhana Gnana became the livelihood of the Jeeva. In this way, Karma, Gnana, and Sadhana have become impure and have become the livelihood for the Jeeva. The practice of austerities, Yoga, Shamadhamadhi has become almost impossible, the Vairagya and Gnana have become manipulated with the embellished words. The long hours of lectures and debates have become unfruitful, all those preached remain unpracticed, there are crores of Pankhanda reaped in the practice of Bhakti, Gnana, and Vairagya as well. The living style and the lectures have become disproportionate, everyone started to follow their mind voices and observe austerities whatever they feel apt for them. Oh! Jeeva, the glorious Ramanama continues to remain unpolluted in the several Yugas, and the scriptures emphasize the magnificence of Ramanama. Lord Mahadeva whispers this glorious chant on the ears of the Jeeva who leaves the mortal coil in the Anandhavan Kashi, in this way, the Jeeva gets liberated from the Karya, Karana, Sookshma Shareera. Lord Mahadeva disperse the glorious Ramanama to the Jeeva on the riverbank of Kashi Dharmabhoomi. Lord Mahadeva preaches the glories of the Ramanama and practices the same. Oh! Jeeva, practice the recitation of Ramanama and invest your mind and intellect in it, take pleasure in the recitation of Ramanama and take shelter in it, this is the only one Sadhana could liberate the Jeeva from the sufferings of the Samsara and vicious cycles of rebirth. Oh! Chapter – 5 – Sri Manirathna Mala – 22 – 27 The disciple speaks “Oh! Bhagavan, 1) which is an added ornament to the face? 2) What is truthful Karma? 3) what is the specific deed that does not bring guilt?” The preceptor speaks “1) Aksharavidhya/knowledge and wisdom is the exquisite ornament that enhances the beauty of the face a) sensible talks b) truthful and pleasant way of talking c) talks for the welfare of all. 2) The truthful Karma is kindness, and compassion to fellow beings. 3) The worship of Lord Kamsari/Krishna and Lord Kamari/Shiva is the one and only deed that does not bring any guilt.” The disciple speaks “Oh! Bhagavan, 1) which brings Moksha? 2) What is the splendor of Moksha? 3)What is extremely troublesome? 4) Who is most venerable?” The preceptor speaks “ 1) The destruction of ‘redundant thoughts’ brings Moksha, it is the supreme state the Jeeva completely freed from the unwanted and unpleasant thoughts about past Karma and the anxiousness of the future, both does not bring any good other than take away the serenity of the mind. Moksha is the state freed from the three phases of life/past, present, and future, the Yogi meditate and contemplate upon the all-pervasive supreme Bramham is eternal bliss, hence the destruction of unwanted thoughts, fears, and anxieties is the gateway to Moksha. 2) The most splendorous thing of Moksha is fearlessness; the dualities instigate fear in the Jeeva. Yogis undertake extreme austerities and Tapasya gets freed from the redundant thoughts, impurities, interest in worldly matters and bondage, I and body consciousness, and freely and fearlessly wanders all over the Earth. Moksha is the supreme state freed from the disparities of respect and disrespect, fame and ill-fame, grief and joy, happiness and sorrow. 3) The ‘ignorance’ is troublesome, constantly creates ruffle in the Jeeva, and destroys the serenity of mind. The lack of knowledge of ‘self’, the indestructible Purusha resides as soul, and the destructible Prakrithi that has transient nature causes trepidation in the Jeeva. The ignorant Jeeva get drenched in the worldly matters and bondage of impermanent nature, continuously chases after the bodily pleasure and accumulation of wealth, richness, fame, money, etc. that has momentary life and thereby loss the serenity of mind, hence ignorance is the root cause of Mrithyu/fear of death. 4) The preceptors, deities, and elderly are most venerable. The preceptor imparts the knowledge of supreme Bhramam/Athmajjanam, the worship of deities removes the impurities of the mind and respect to elderly enriched with the experience of destructible nature of Prakrithi and material matters are most venerable.” The disciple speaks “Oh! Bhagavan, what would be the immediate action of the intellectuals while leaving the mortal coil?” The preceptor speaks “The intellectuals, Mahathma, noble-souls have a thorough knowledge of Prana that has no assurance, leave the body at any moment, therefore, they constantly immerse in contemplating and meditating upon the lotus feet of supreme Lord Murari, who removes the fear of death and provides the serenity of mind, so that the mind and words do not forget to utter the sacred names while leaving the mortal coil, thereby protect themselves from the vicious cycles of rebirth.” The disciple speaks “1) Who are the dangerous thieves in the journey of life? 2) Who shines on the podium? 3) who is compassionate as a mother? 4) what is undiminishing?” The preceptor speaks “ 1) The Dhurvasana/the unwanted habits, lack of virtues are dangerous thieves in the journey of life. The impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, and Mathshcharya destroy the serenity of the mind and push the Jeeva into the repeated cycles of birth. 2) The intellectuals shine on the podium, the weak and ignorant miserably fail in every task. 3) The Athmavidhya/knowledge of self’ is compassionate and soothing as a mother, it protects the Jeeva from the redundant thoughts, trepidations of worldly existence. 4) The knowledge/Athmavidhya shared will not diminish, instead, it would enhance the perception of the person who shared the knowledge with others.” The disciple speaks “ Oh! Bhagavan, 1) which is frightful? 2) who is the closest associate? 3) who are real parents?” The preceptor speaks “ 1) The frightful things are a) bad reputation and b) the dense forest like worldly existence. 2) whoever gives you shelter during the troubled times in life is the closest associate. 3) The real parents are the one who protects the children from every toughest situation in the life.” The disciple speaks “ Oh! Bhagavan, 1) what is the supreme knowledge? 2) Which gives the knowledge of Prapancha?” The preceptor speaks “ 1) The Paramarththa Thaththva is the supreme knowledge. The knowledge of the all-pervasive Adhvaitha Paramathma Parambhramam resides as a soul in the Jeeva is pure, unblemished, eternal bliss, free from impurities and afflictions, has neither birth nor death is the Paramarththa/eternal truth. 2) The flawless Paramarththa Thaththva gives the knowledge of the destructible nature of Prakrithi/Prapancha, material matters such as wealth, fame, money, richness, possession, attachment to wife, children, relatives, and companions, etc. have fleeting nature. Chapter – 2 – Sri Guru Gita –11 – 20 Lord Mahadeva speaks “Oh! Devi, Sadhguru is Bhramaviththama/symbolizes Bhramam, purifies the places where he resides and travels, he is the knower of disparities between Sath and Asath/ the indestructible Purusha/Sath is eternal, pure, unblemished, free from afflictions have neither birth nor death. The destructible Prakrithi/Asath has impermanent nature, such as the attachment to the material matters, richness, wealth, money, possession, fame, family, children, wife, relatives and companions that have fleeting nature, undergo the constant transformation and ruin, hence, the attachment to the above cause’s grief and miseries, eventually hurls the Jeeva into the vicious cycles of rebirth. The Sadhguru purifies the place as well as the Jeeva who has taken shelter in him, and sanctify all those living and non-living things in their vicinity, all the deities/Sarvadevatha dwells in the place where Sadhguru resides. Whoever reads or recite or write the highly propitious hymns of Guru Gita while walking, or sitting, or lying, or standing, or traveling on the horseback, or on an elephant, or in the state of Sushupthi or Jagrathavastha, or seated on the sanctified place or knowing the meaning of it or not, mere witnessing or touching those people would remove the Jeeva from the vicious cycles of repeated births. The Athmajjani immerses in the Athmarathi, and remain in the constant union with that Bhramam, no matter whether it is day or night, like the reflection of the sky on the seawater in the ocean, reflection of the sky on milk stored in the container, and reflection of the sky on the water in the pond or pot, these Athmmajjani’s remain inseparable from the union of Athma and Paramathma. The Preceptor /Sadhguru is supreme Bhramam, therefore he should be worshiped and served with sincere devotion and faith to achieve his perpetual grace. Oh! Parvathi, whoever selflessly serve the preceptor, and follow his commands would get liberated from the Bhavarnnava/the ocean of worldly existence. Oh! Devi, it is essential to serve the Preceptor with intense faith and devotion to achieve the fruitfulness of life, the grace of the preceptor would provide various Siddhis to the Mumukshu/disciple. These preceptors are Mahajjani and Mahamauni as well. They constantly immerse in the Athmarathi, same as in the night and day, enjoys the bliss of three worlds. Oh! Chapter – 1 – Sri Yogavashista Saram – 1 – 11 Sage Vashishta speaks “ Oh! Rama, Mahathma abandons the body and I consciousness, they discard the interest in the worldly matters and bondage as Trina/grass takes shelter in solitude, contemplate upon the all-pervasive Paramathma Parambhramam resides as a soul, that has neither birth nor death, pure, unblemished, changeless, and eternal bliss. They undertake Shamadhamadi, austerities, observance of vows and celibacy, ponder over Athmathaththva, and ultimately achieves the union with it. The Mahathma with the knowledge of destructible Prakrithi and the indestructible Paramathma resides as soul, get rid of interest in worldly matters, ponder over the Athman/Paramathma is self -illuminating, which is the source of the functioning of the mind, intellect, Prana, Ahamkara, Chiththa, Karma and Gnanendhriyas, and perceive that all-pervasive Bhramam. Oh! Raghava, the Parameshwara Parambhramam is the Athman/soul which is the source of Shabdha/sound, Sparsha/touch, Rasa/taste, Roopa/appearance and Gandha/smell, the functioning of mind and intellect, Prana, etc. in the Jeeva. The Jeevathma is Paramathma. Oh! Rama, understand the real nature of that Paramathma Parambhramam which is the cause of the origin of Universe, living and non-living things are the essences of that Paramthma. The Prithvi/ Prapancha living and non-living things are the creation of that Paramathma Parambhramam, hence the Bhramam is omnipresent. The Shruthi eulogized that Parambhramamswaroopa Paramathma as ‘Nethi Nethi’/Na: Ithi, Na: Ithi, therefore, the Paramathma is invisible/Adhrishya, and perceivable only through Athmajjana. Oh! Rama, there is nothing different from that Paramathma Parambhramam, the Bramham is the essence of wisdom, there is no difference between Jjanam/wisdom and Jjyea/wise, the Universe and its living and non-living things are that Prathyaksha Bhramam, there is nothing Prithak/separate from that Bhramam. The Athmajjana makes the Jeeva perform even the impossible tasks, the trinities /Bhrama, Vishnu, and Rudra constantly contemplate upon that Paramathma and performs the functions of the Universe. The Mahathma contemplate upon that Paramathma Parameshwara and performs the tasks without getting attached to them, while living on the Earth. Oh! Raghava, perceive that all-pervasive Paramathma Parambhramam in you, consider yourself as the Universe, and Avyaya Paramathma. There is no Bhootha/past, Varththaman/present or Bhavishya/future is different from you. Oh! Rama, contemplate upon that Yekam Bhramam Chidhakara, Sarvathmaka, Akhanditha, Paramathma, and achieve the serenity of the mind. The Paramathma Parambhramam resides as the soul is free from dualities, it is Gnanaswaroopa, Sarvavyapi, and Avyaya as well. All those illusion-caused Roopa, Nama Dhrishya are impermanent nature, Prakrithi/material matters, wealth, money, richness, fame, possession, attachment to wife, children, relatives, companions, etc. have fleeting nature, the body and I consciousness are sheer ignorance, the body has to undergo a constant transformation, aging, illness, and death, the attachment and possession of the material matters undergoes constant transformation and ruin, hence pride in possession and attachment is foolishness, Ahamkara, and Mamakara is ignorance, interest in worldly matters and bondage are the root cause of miseries and sorrows. Chapter – 3 – Chanakya Neethi 1 – 11 Rishi Chanakya speaks “Who is free from sufferings and miseries? Which clan is free from destruction? Who is free from ailments? Who is free from grief and sorrow? Who is having permanent happiness and joy? Life on the Earth is full of suffering and sorrow. The intelligent and wise understand the impermanent nature of Prakrithi/cosmic nature that undergoes constant transformation and meets ruin, and the supreme Purusha/ consciousness resides as a soul in the Jeeva is indestructible, engages in the constant practice of meditation and contemplation upon the supreme Lord, undertake austerities, vows, penances, observe celibacy and strive hard to achieve the Paramathma Paramapurusha who is supreme bliss, free from sufferings, has no birth or death, unblemished, and pure. The nature of an individual can be understood easily 1) the nature of the clan/family can be understood from the behavior of the person 2) the region can be understood from the style of conversation 3) sincerity and love can be understood from the kind of hospitality provided 4) the amount of food required to serve can be understood from the size of the body. The righteous deeds are 1) daughter should be given in marriage to a suitable groom from a decent family 2,) sons should be supplemented with good education and equipped with great knowledge in all fields of Sashthras and Purans 3) do not leave a single chance to win over the enemy 4) make all efforts to channelize dearest companions to the Dharmic way of living. The wicked people are compared to venomous serpents, but in my opinion, these deceitful people are worse than serpents, because the snakes attack people when they get hurt, but the wicked people are dangerous than these poisonous snakes, do not leave a single opportunity to attack. The Kings appoint Kuleena/person born in the illustrious clan, knowledgeable and honest as a minister, because these learned ministers do not engage in treacherous acts against the King. The King who has deceitful and dull-minded as a minister would definitely meet his destruction. The rivers and watercourses may break their boundaries during the time of the flood, but Sajjanas do not leave their character of truthfulness, celibacy, sincerity, and kindness even the most awful period of time. An ignorant person should be avoided for good, they are considered as a two-legged animal, these dull-witted people take immense pleasure in verbal abuse, hurt, and demotivate others. The person who has a charming appearance, youthful, born in an illustrious clan, lacks wisdom would remain the flowers without scent and luster. The true loveliness vested in the 1) melodious voice of Cuckoo 2) chastity of woman 3) The endurance of the Tapasvi. Chapter – 8 – Sri Guru Gita – 71 – 80 Lord Mahadeva speaks “Oh! Devi, the preceptor enlightens the Jeeva with the knowledge of Adhvatheeya Paramathma Parambhramam resides as a soul in the Jeeva, and oneness-in-all, the disciple who sincerely follow the lessons of Guru, need not take shelter in the dense wood. The disciple who sincerely follows the Shamadhamadhi, austerities, vows, observance of celibacy, Swadhyaya, Athmavichara, and undertakes the worship of preceptor, meditation and contemplation etc. for several years achieve the superior state of Samadhi, and get rid of all the accumulated sins of several births. The supreme Bramham is omnipresent, invisible, has no specific appearance, changeless, independent, and Niramaya, therefore, how could you invoke that all-pervasive Bhramam on a dais/Peedam? Or How could you discard/Visarjjanam that has neither appearance nor access on it? How did the Amoorththa/virtual, abstract thing is worshiped? How did the meditation of Niramaya/pure, omnipresent Bhramam has been conducted? Therefore, the preceptor is Bhrama, Vishnu and Rudra, symbolizes the Rajasik creator Bhrama, the Sathvik preserver Vishnu, and the Thamasik destroyer Rudra. The supreme Bhramam is Sarvaga/omnipresent, the Universe and its living and non-living things initiated from the supreme Bhramam, are vested on it. The Paramathma resides as soul/Athman in the Jeeva is the source of the functioning of the mind, intellect, chithth, Ahamkara, Prana, Karma, and Gnanendhriyas. The Bramham is indestructible Purusha Paramathma Parambhramam and the infinite Nama, Roopa, Dhrishyas are destructible Prakrithi that has momentary life. The nearness of the Preceptor enlightens the Jeeva with the Bhramamjjana, inspires the Jeeva to take up the austerities and Tapasya/Shamadhamadhi, Athmavichara and get relieved from the interest in worldly matters and bondage, I and body consciousness, and impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, and Mathshcharya, ultimately achieves the serenity of mind. The Mahathmas are contented souls and have already abandoned the interest in the infinite Nama Roopa Dhrishya, are free from likes and dislikes, respect and disrespect, sorrow and happiness, grief and joy, fearlessly wander all around without any anguish, and remain serene and blissful always, they are addressed as ‘Sarvajja’. The direction and the region get sanctified where that Mahathmas lives, Oh! Jeeva, human mind is mysterious, it always desires for the fruits of Punya which is difficult to achieve even for the ascetics, and noble-souls, but sadly it did not keep away from the deeds of Papakarma or never get ashamed of sinful deeds. Oh! Mind, all that you yearn for the fruits of propitious deeds, but never withdrawn yourself from the sinful deeds, then how could you desire for the happiness and welfare? Oh! Jeeva, you have achieved the rare birth as a human in the Karmabhoomi Bharathavarsha, that too in the propitious Kali era, which provides Mukthi with the simple gesture of recitation of Ramanama. Oh! Ignorant, you have wasted all your life engaged in sinful deeds, immoral activities, engaged in abducting Paradhara, and Paradhan, chosen to be in the association of wicked people, you have drenched in AvidhyaMaya/ignorance, Ahamkara, Mamakara, Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, and Mathshcharya, and indulged in crores and crores of Papakarma, hence how could you achieve the serenity of mind and Paramagathi? Oh! Jeeva, the service to preceptors, and Santh Mahathma, Swadhyaya, learning Veda and scriptures, Athma Vichara would remove the impurities of Ahamkara and Mamakara, and bring the serenity of mind. Oh! You are drenched in Kumarg/immoral, wicked, deceitful, excessive lust and desires, when will you leave all those depraved acts? Oh! Fool, you are ignorant taking extreme pleasure in the material matters and people/Vishayavisha like nectar, unfortunately, that has impermanent nature, with the pretense that it would give pleasure for all life, without the knowledge that attachment to all those Vishayavishya could provide nothing but grief in the absence of those material matters and people around you. Oh! Mind, you have kept yourself afar from the practice of devotion/Bhakti at the lotus feet of Sri Ramachandra, which is the nectar of bliss. Oh! Mind, when will you abandon the interest in material matters, richness, wealth, money, possession and fame, attachment to people, and practice Ananya Bhakti? When will you taste the nectar-like Ramanama Japa? When will you taste the sweet pudding of Ramanama Japa dipped in the honey-like the love of Lord to Sri Ramachandra? Whoever practices singing in praise of Lord Sri Ramachandra would get all their desire fulfilled, the grief of Avidhyamaya Mohajanitha grief would get destroyed, and the worshiper would achieve serenity of mind, and the state of bliss/free of dualities/Dhvandhabhava such as happiness and sorrow, respect and disrespect, grief and joy, etc. and all those sufferings of Samsara, lust, ego, pride, jealousy, anger, Ahamkara, and Mahamakara would flee forever. Oh! Prabho, whenever I think of your disciplines, virtues, and compassion, I am getting perplexed, and the courage gathered to appeal slithering out of my hands. Oh! Hare, I have abandoned all those Sadhanas, Swadhyaya, Athmavichara, Shamadhamadhi, I have discarded the ways to get rid of Ahamkara and Mamakara, lust, anger, desire, ego, pride, and jealousy, and attached to worldly matters, possession, money, richness, wealth, fame, wife, children, relatives and companion, etc. thereby I have lost the fortune to attend your Kripa. I am drenched in the Vishayavisha, will it bring any good to me? Hence constantly hurling myself into grief, agony, pain, and sorrows day and night. Oh! Prabho, I understand, the deeds performed by Man/mind, Karama/deeds, Bachan/words for the welfare of the Samsara, elevates the Jeeva from the Samsarasagara, alas! I haven’t followed any righteous deeds by mind, words, and deeds. Oh! Prabho, I get jealous of others' welfare, without any reason. The Veda and scriptures strongly recommended to be in the association of noble souls, Virakthathma, Santh, Mahathma, to achieve serenity of mind, get rid of impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya, Ahamkara, and Mamakara. Oh! Prabho, the Abhiman/pride, Ajjana/ignorance, and Ershya/ego did not allow me to get closer to the noble souls, I have not been kind to them. Oh! Prabho, I take pleasure in the company of Jeeva soaked in the Samasasagara, Oh! Nath, how did I get achieve serenity of mind and get relieved from the grief of Samsara? Oh! Prabho, I am helpless, I cannot achieve Bhakti, Gnana, Vairagya, Santhsamagama, Sadhusanga, without your Kripa, otherwise I would be hurling into the vicious Samsarachakra again and again, and take birth in different Yoni. Whom do I seek protection from the sufferings and grief of Samsara? Who will listen to this Jeeva who has not followed any of the austerities, vows, celibacy, Shama, Dhama, Sathyam, Shaucham, Astheyam, Arjjavam, Athmavichara, Swadhyaya, etc..? Oh! Prabho, you are the safest asylum in the three worlds for the Sadhanaheena Jeeva who have been drenched in worldly matters, bodily pleasures, Ahamkara, Mamakara, etc. Oh! Jagadeesh, you are that all-pervasive supreme Bhramam, you are the essence of the Universe and its living and non-living things, you are the protector of the same, hence whoever taken shelter at your lotus feet would easily cross the unfathomable ocean of Samsara. Oh! Prabho, you have rushed to save the Gajaraja/elephant who cried for help when he was all alone struggling to pull out the leg stuck in the mouth of the crocodile, he was abandoned by his family and friends after a long battle, Oh! Prabho, you are the one rushed to save him, leaving your celestial vehicle Garuda. Oh! Prabho, you have protected the Papabhandar/storehouse of sins, like this Jeeva from the mother’s womb, and continued to protect till date I have been ungrateful to you, drenched in Mahamoha, attached to material welfare and people. Oh! Prabho, I am that Kuputhra, Kroora, and worthless Jeeva, Oh! Prabho, you have performed the final rite of Jatayu and liberated him from the Samsara, although he was born in a lowly clan, consumed meat all his life, he did not follow any austerities, all that he was selflessly served you. Oh! Balihari, you are the only one who could protect me from the sufferings of the Samsara, I am worn out of interest in worldly matters and attachment to people, Ahamkara, and Mamakara. Oh! Prabho, if you delayed to protect me, I may hurl into Garbhavasadhukham/suffering as the fetus in mother’s womb and would be born as Kuputhra. Oh! Chapter 201 – Sri Vinaya Pathrika – Sri Ramanama to achieve Ananyabhakthi Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Prabho, there are certain things that can’t be disclosed, and some of the things cannot be kept secret, but I have to tell you this, even though I am a worthless sinful Jeeva I feel it was good that I have disclosed my sufferings to my Master who is pure, unblemished, and benevolent. Many a time I have back footed thinking about your splendor, somehow I have gathered courage to appeal before you, all my life I was ashamed to approach you, I have been drenched in worldly matters, Ahamkara, Mamakara, Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, and Masthcharya, I was illusioned/Mahamoha, ignorant soaked in material welfare and bodily pleasures of fleeting nature, Oh!Prabho, your pleasant nature, kindness, and compassion to the distressed and depraved Jeeva, immensely attracted me, hence I have taken shelter in your sacred name ‘Ram’. Oh! Prabho, you get easily pleased to your devotees who immerses singing in praise of your glories, recite your splendor, folding hands and bowing down head before you, even if they are from the lowly clan. Oh! Prabho wasn’t that the power of pure love and devotion? Whoever taken shelter at your lotus feet got rid of impurities of the mind, Ahamkara and Mamakara, sufferings of poverty, and achieves Yoga and Kshema. There was no one Prathapi/mighty as demon Ravana and no one was weak and fearful like Vibheeshana, ultimately Vibheeshana took shelter at your lotus feet have achieved immense glories, Ananyabhakthi at your lotus feet and crowned as the King of Lanka, and Ravana who was haughty and arrogant got killed in your hands. Therefore, whoever approaches you with sincere devotion and faith, and accepts their own impurities of mind and sins committed, would achieve all the auspiciousness, otherwise, it would push them into grief and miseries. Oh! Jeeva, if you constantly remember the legend of Jatayu, Ahalya, Gajendra, Ajamila, Shabari, who have achieved immense bliss with the pure love and devotion at the lotus feet of Lord, your love for the Lord Ramachandra would grow boundless. Oh! Prabho, your sacred name ‘Ram’ resemble Kalpavruksha that fulfills all the desires of the worshiper and change them grow desire less in their lives/Poornna Kama. Oh! Chapter – 3 – Sri Vinaya Patrika – Prayers to Lord Shiva to achieve Ananya Bhakti/perpetual devotion at the lotus feet of Lord Rama- Prayers for the destruction of ignorance and impurities of the mind Sri Tulasidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Uma Ramana, why don’t you shower your compassionate grace upon me? Oh! Karunakara, you are the destroyer of afflictions and troubles, Veda and Purana eulogize your generosity, after all these, why you have become narrow-minded towards me? Oh! Bhagavan, you have pleased to the twice-born Gunanidhi and provided the highest of the status, what did he do to achieve that? What kind of worship did he conduct to achieve that piousness? He has achieved the extremely difficult piousness which is difficult to achieve even for the illustrious ascetics. The Keeta and Pathangas/even the lowly creatures in your sacred land Kashipuri achieve that highest of the piousness. Oh! Kamari, Oh! Shiva, Oh! Swami, kindly set aside the impartiality and be generous to Tulasidas, and shower sincere devotion at the lotus feet of Lord Rama.” Sri Tulsidas Maharaj continues “Oh! Shakara, you are mighty Lord, generous, compassionate, and too innocent. Oh! Bhagavan, you have been too kind to the devotees who stood before you with folded hands, you have not shown any disparities to your devotees, removed the sufferings and grief of your devotees. Oh! Bhagavan, your worship is very simple and easiest, you get pleased with the handful of water, rice, and Bilwapathra, and in return, you provide them an abundance of richness, elephants, chariots, horses, and all those material welfares as a boon to your worshiper. Oh! Vamadeva, Oh! Bhagavan, I am living in your sacred land of Kashi, I have not asked anything to give me a boon. I am tormented by the troubles of Adhibhauthika/interest in worldly matters and bondage, kindly call your Kinkara/attendants to get hands-on these Adhibhautika troubles, and impose strict punishments on them. The interest in worldly matters and bondage destroys the purities of mind/Tulsi like sacred mind, I earnestly request your Kinkaras to impose severe punishments upon the troubles of Adhibhauthika.” Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “ Oh! Shiva, Karunamaya, Oh! Kalyanaroopi, kindly shower your compassionate grace upon me. You are extremely kind and generous, kindly remove your Maya/illusion wielded on me. Your eyes resemble lotus flower petals, you are Sarvagunasampanna/virtuous, you are the enemy of Kamadeva, it is impossible to learn your splendor or to achieve devotion at the lotus feet of Lord Rama without your grace, not even in the dreams. Oh! Bhagavan, the Rishis, Sidhdhis, Muni, Manushya, Dhaithya, Devatha, and all those living creatures afar from the lotus feet of you hurl into vicious cycles of rebirths for crores of Kalpa and fails to cross the unfathomable ocean of Samsara. Oh! Bhagavan, serpents are your ornaments, you are the destroyer of arrogance, pride, and sins, you are a sincere devotee of Lord Rama, and you are Devadhideva of Lord Rama, you are the destroyer of Thripurasura. Oh! Shankara, you symbolize the Sun that removes the darkness of ignorance. You are the destroyer of Moha/lust, desires, ignorance, and impurities of the mind, you are the destroyer of grief and fear of the people who have taken shelter at your lotus feet. Oh! Kashipathi, Oh! Chapter - 74 -Sri Vinaya Patrika - Samsara is Mrigathrishna - The Paramathma/cowherd fastens the Pashuroopi Jeevathma with the rope of Paramarththa Thaththva Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Jeeva, you have been afar from the lotus feet of Sri Ramachandra, and you have wasted the whole life, getting attached to the material matters, wealth, richness, money, fame, possessions, attachment to wife, children, family, relatives, companions, etc. without knowing the Ahamkara and Mamakara on the above-said material matters and people are impermanent and have fleeting nature, there is no assurance that it would be with you till the end of your life. How much happiness you have achieved from the above-said worldly matters? Are you satisfied with it? Oh! Ignorant, you never get satisfied with the interest in material welfare and bodily pleasure. You have been flowing through the different Yonis of birds, animals, reptiles, and humans, and have taken several births and had gone through the endless miseries and sorrows, due to your ignorance, insatiable desires and lust, hence now on correct yourself from the mistakes you have committed. Oh! Jeeva, you have earned the rarest birth as a human with the Prarabdha Karma you have achieved, do not waste it, leave your desire to climb up on the pinnacle of the sky, and no one dared to do it, the worldly matters are infinite, your greed to chase these worldly matters of infinite Nama Roopa Dhrishya will not be successful. Oh! Tulsi, if you earn for eternal bliss, free from afflictions, fear and trepidations, then sing in praise of various glorious legends of Lord Rama and take shelter at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Ramachandra.” Sri Tulsidas Maharaj continues “Oh! Jeeva, I am repeatedly cautioning you with the most promising, pure, honest words, why do not you get into your mind? Ponder over it and follow the righteous way, take shelter at the lotus feet of Lord Ramachandra. The Samsara is the storehouse of diversified matter like good and bad, evil and pious, who do not want to achieve goodness in their lives? No one is free from happiness and sorrow, the supreme Lord Bhrama who is the creator, and the living things are bound to undergo happiness and sorrow, even the Keeta and Pathanga are not freed from it. The Jeevathma are Pashuroopi who is bound by ignorance and impurities, and the Paramathma Parambhramam is the cowherd fasten the Jeeva with the knowledge of Paramarththa, eventually, the Pashuroopi Jeevathma get rid of the Karma. The interest in worldly matters and attachment to the material matters and people are a burden, in fact, there is no happiness in it, the ignorant find pleasure in it, Oh! Ignorant Jeeva, you have been suffering from worldly existence so long and hurling again and again into the vicious cycles of rebirth due to your ignorance, desires, and lust. Oh! Jeeva, no one gets satisfied or quenched their thirst from the Mrigathrishna/reflection of the water in the desert, Samsara is Mrigathrishna, it is an illusion/Maya, and there is nothing real other than Paramathma resides as a soul in the Jeeva. Oh! Chapter – 6 – Sri Vinaya Patrika – Prayer to Lord Mahadeva to remove grief and ignorance Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “I shall meditate upon the supreme Lord Mahadeva who symbolizes auspiciousness and prosperity, he is the provider of devotion, welfare, and happiness to his worshiper, bliss to saintly men and ascetics, he is the beloved consort of Himachalakanya Devi Parvathi has a charming appearance, beautiful eyes that resemble to lotus flower petals, destroyed the pride of Kamadeva. His body has the luster of Kundhendhupushpa, Shankha, and camphor, and has the rich fragrance of sacred ashes, he has a stunning appearance and he is Sacchidhanandha Swaroopa Paramathma. His lotus feet are worshiped by Siddha, Sanaka, Sanandhan, Sanathan, Sanathkumara, Yogiraj, Devatha, Vishnu, and Bhrama. I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Shiva who is fond of twice-born who sincerely follow the Varnna and Ashrama Dharma. He is easily attainable to the pious and noble-souls, and extremely difficult for the wicked people. His appearance is Vikaral/unique, he is all-pervasive, he is beyond Veda, Shastra, Purana, and Ithihasa. He is the storehouse of mercy, he is adorned in serpents as ornaments, sacred river Ganga on matted hair locks, he is pure and free from impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, and Mathshcharya, he is dispassionate and beyond Triguna. He is the Lord of the Universe, he is the destroyer of sins and illnesses, he is Trishuladhari who is the destroyer of Maha Moha Andhakara, like the Surya spread its radiance to remove the darkness. He is Mahakala who is the Lord of Kala, he is beyond time and death, he is immortal, he protects the Jeeva from the vicious cycles of repeated births. He resembles colossal fire that destroys the dense wood like the evil effects of the Kali era. I shall surrender at the lotus feet of supreme Lord Mahadeva who represent Sage Agasthya, Sarvantharyami/resides as a soul in the Jeeva, symbolizes auspiciousness and kindness, destroys the repeated births of the Jeeva who have taken shelter at his lotus feet and provider of perpetual happiness to them.” Sri Tulsidas Maharaj continues “The supreme Lord Mahadeva is the provider of all kinds of auspiciousness to his devotees, hence I adore the dust from his lotus feet, he is Kamadhenu who fulfills all the desires of the worshiper. He has a lustrous body that resembles Karpoora, he is benevolent and symbolizes ‘Athman’ in the Anathmaroopi Samsara, he is adorned the King of serpent Vasuki as garland. He is the abode of eternal bliss, welfare, and happiness. He is mighty Lord and his glories are beyond description. He is beyond Triguna/Sathvik, Rajasik, and Thamasik, he is the storehouse of virtues, he is invisible, eternal, pure, Sacchidhanandhaswaroopa Paramathma Parmbhramam resides as a soul in the Jeeva. He has Surya, Chandra, and Agni as three eyes, He is Maheshwara who has won over the Kamadeva. He is the destroyer of pride in the body and material matters like the dense wood of darkness in the Jeeva, like the Udhayasurya/sunlight in the early hours of dawn. He has adorned the crescent moon on the matted hair locks that spread intense radiance on the forehead. He is the Lord of Gana, destroys the grief of three worlds. He is Lord of Kashi/Kashinath is extremely compassionate to Jeeva who is unfortunate has no line of auspiciousness on his forehead would achieve Paramagathi with the grace of that supreme Lord in Kashi. There is no deity compassionate and kind as Lord Shiva, he is Karunanidhan who swallowed the toxic poison watching the deities and demons were tormented by the heat of deadly poison emitted while churning the ocean. The Athmajjana/knowledge of self’/ Paramatha Thaththva is impossible to achieve without the grace of supreme Lord Mahadeva, even if you achieve to perform various Yoga and Yaga for several Kalpa. Oh! Chapter - 109 -Sri Vinaya Patrika – The practice of devotion to get rid of the sufferings of Samsara Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “If I have found Shadras in the devotion at the lotus feet of Sri Ramachandra, as I enjoy the six types of tastes in the meal, I wouldn’t have fallen into the trap of Vishayavisha/toxic poison like the interest in worldly matters. Oh! Prabho, I am unfortunate my mind and intellect did not achieve the superior Shadrasa/Ananyabhakthi in the devotion of supreme Lord Sri Ramachandra, hence it has been chasing after the interest in worldly matters, possession, richness, wealth, money, fame, attachment to wife, children, relatives, and companion, etc. that has fleeting nature ultimately pushed me into grief and agony. Alas! my excessive interest in worldly matters, Shabdha, Sparsha, Rasa, Roopa, and Gandha causing me to throw into the vicious cycles of repeated birth, sadly even after taking several births in different Yonis, my interest in the toxic poison like Vishayavisha haven’t disappeared, and the huge irony is my chase for material welfare and bodily pleasure did not stop, even after taking pleasure in the similar Vishayavisha in the several previous births. I have completely drenched in Maya, and kept aloof from the Paramarththaroopi wealth, the Sacchidhanandhaswaroopa Paramathma Parambhramam, supreme Lord resides as soul in the Jeeva is the sole source of the functioning of the mind, intellect, Chithth, Ahamakara, Panchaprana, Karma and Gnanendhriyas etc. I have taken several births in different yonis and have experienced similar kinds of Vishaya/worldly matters, wealth, possession, richness, attachments to people, etc. even though I am not tired of chasing that material welfare and bodily pleasure, it is utterly disgraceful that I have not achieved contentment in any of the Vishaya. Oh! Raghunath, you have showered an abundance of grace upon the Gheedh/Jatayu, Shabari, Kol, Bheel, Vanaras, Bear, etc. and liberated them from the Bhavabandhan, Oh! Chapter 202 – Sri Vinaya Patrika – Jeevathma is an inseparable part of the Paramathma, like the waves have no existence without the presence of the ocean Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Prabho, kindly listen to my pleas, my intellect/Budhdhiroopi beautiful woman have decided to taken shelter in you, she has considered you as her wedded husband, she has taken vow to stay close to your lotus feet, and serve you dutifully with pure love and devotion. Oh! Prabho, the piousness, and sins committed in the earlier lives pushed me to live in the Samsara, and during this period of time, I have thoroughly understood who is mine and not mine. Oh! Prabho, I promise on Seethapathi Sri Ramachandra, I have no anxiousness or fear about my goodness or troubles. If I kept anxious and troubled even after taking shelter at your lotus feet, how it would make sense/Sharanagathi? I have become fearless and freed from anxiousness the moment I have taken shelter at your lotus feet. Oh! Prabho, you are the Lord of wisdom and speech, hence I won’t utter anything wrong my own. Oh! Prabho, you are the knower of all, you are sole witness of the Jeeva, you are that Sacchidhanandhaswaroopa Paramathma Parambhramam reside as a soul in the Jeeva, which is the source of the functioning of the mind, intellect, Ahamkara, Prana, Karma and Gnanendhriyas etc. you are that all-pervasive Bhramam reside as Jeevathma, hence I cannot hide anything from you. Oh! Chapter – 152 -Sri Vinaya Patrika – The significance of Sharanagathi Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Jeeva, there is no deity as compassionate and kind as Lord Sri Hari who alleviates the sufferings of the Jeeva and liberates the Jeeva from the miserable/Dhukharopi ocean of Samsara. Oh! Prabho, the untamed elephant Gajendra was caught on the leg by the crocodile in the pond was cried out miserably, there was no one to protect him, and lost all his strength, finally stretched out its trunk for plucking the lotus flower, and cried out for your help. Oh! Prabho, you haven’t waited for a second, took hold of the Sudharshana Chakra, left the celestial vehicle Garuda, and rushed towards Gajendra. Oh! Prabho, Devi Dhraupadhi was humiliated in the large assembly of Kauravas, the wicked Dhusshasan dragged on her hair, and pulled out clothe was cried out miserably lifting hands up in the air “Oh! Bhagavan, protect me”, within seconds there was a mountain-sized clothe was appeared to protect her. Oh! Dheenavathsala, the deities, Siddhas, Ganas, intellectuals, Manushyas, and Munis have known your graciousness, hence they sincerely engage in the service of your lotus feet. Oh! Prabho, you have liberated King Nriga who has assumed the form of lizard as a punishment for the sin committed to the twice-born, with the mere touch of your hand the King Nriga got back his original form and got liberated. Oh! Chapter – 157 -Sri Vinaya Patrika – Ramanama Mahima – The practice of meditation to get rid of the sufferings of Samsara and Samsarachakra/Garbhavasa Dhukham Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Hari, will I get the opportunity to witness those lotus feet which are the source of all the auspiciousness and happiness, which could remove the grief and sufferings of Samsara and destroys the Papasamooha of the Kali era? Oh! Prabho, your beautiful lotus feet have the intense luster of the fully blossomed red lotus flower in the Sharathrithu, which is constantly caressed by the lovely hands of Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi. Oh! Prabho, your lotus feet are the source of river Ganga on Earth, hence those feet are Gangajanak of Devi Ganga, she is beloved of Kamari Lord Mahadeva too. Oh! Prabho, during the incarnation of Vamana/dwarf, your lotus feet measured the entire Universe in three strides and crushed the pride of emperor Bali. Oh! Prabho, the dust particles from your lotus feet removed the curse on Gautamapathni Devi Ahalya. Oh! Prabho, you have removed the curse on Nriga who was taken shelter as a lizard in the dark well, you have removed all the grief and sins of Nishadharaja Guha. Oh! Prabho, your lotus feet are the shelter place of Siddha, Munigana, deities who constantly eulogize the glories of them, it is the source of happiness and auspiciousness to the Universe and its living beings. Oh! Prabho, your lotus feet are the safest asylum from the grief and sufferings of Samsara, it removes Shoka, Moha, Papa, Thapa, Maya of the Jeeva, the meditation and contemplation of those lotus feet would remove all the impurities such as interest in worldly matters and bodily pleasure, Ahamkara, Mamakara, Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya and moreover, prepare them to guide others to get rid of sufferings of Samsara. Oh! Kripasagar Oh! Suchathur Raghunath, you are the destroyer of grief and sufferings of the Jeeva who have taken shelter at your lotus feet, and constantly utter your sacred name ‘Ram’. Oh! Chapter – 222- Sur -Vinaya – Pathrika – There is no grief other than the three kinds such as 1) grief caused by illnesses, fear of death, and separation from beloved ones, 2) grief caused by the attachment to possession, richness, wealth, money, wife, fame, children, relatives, companions, etc. in their absence 3) grief caused by natural calamities, drought, famine, flood, woodfire, earthquake, epidemic, etc. Sri Surdas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Sri Hari, I have been drenched in worldly matters of fleeting nature, I am ignorant and dull-minded, and I did not utilize the precious birth as a human received after several pieties to achieve the four Purusharththa/Dharma, Artha, Kama, and Moksha, instead, I have soaked in worldly matters of possession, richness, fame, money, wealth, children, wife, companion and relatives, of fleeting nature. Oh! Prabho, you are Antharyami/resides as a soul in the Jeeva, you are the source of the functioning of the mind, intellect, chiththa, Ahamkara, vital air/Prana, Karma and Gnanendhriyas, etc. you are all-pervasive supreme Bhramam, omnipresent, omniscient and omnipotent, how can I hide my action, thought and words, from you? How did I explain the sins committed in each and every second? I was drenched in illusion, I was soaked in Mrigathrishna/the illusion that all those infinite sounds, smell, passion, appearance, and touch are real, alas! that was merely a dream. Oh! Prabho, I am worn out of Thapathraya/three kinds of grief 1) grief caused by an epidemic, famine, drought, flood, woodfire, earth-quake, etc. – Adhidheivik 2) grief caused by aging, illnesses, fear of death, and separation from the beloved ones – Adhyathmik and 3) grief caused by possession, wealth, richness, money, fame, children, wife, companion, relatives - Adhibhauthik. Oh! Chapter - 96 -Sri Vinaya Pathrika - Ramanama Mahima – Sharanagathi - Thrividha Thapahari Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Raghupathi, Oh! Prabhu, I have no one protect me, I shall surrender at your lotus feet, I have been drenched in the Ahamkara and Mamakara, impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya, and I was relentlessly chasing after material welfare and bodily pleasure due to ignorance/Mahamoha, therefore I am shameless, and wicked, no one will protect me, I won’t get a Master who is forgiving and kind like you. The ignorant take shelter in various deities and perform rites to please these deities for getting their desires fulfilled. I have already surrendered at the lotus feet of Kosaladheesha Lord Sri Ramachandra who is the Lord of Vanaras, Hitheishi of Sugreevah and Vibheeshan, I have no one to approach other than Rama, Oh! Prabhu, you are my Master. Oh! Prabhu, you are the destroyer of grief and sufferings of Samsara of the Jeeva who have taken shelter at your lotus feet, you are the provider of Bhukthi and Mukthi to your worshiper. The recitation of your sacred name ‘Rama’ is a powerful weapon made of Vajra, capable to sieve off the sufferings of Samsara, and vicious cycles of repeated birth. Whoever recites the Ramanama would remain protected. Oh! Kripasagar, kindly accepts Tulsidas as your servant, I want to sell myself free of cost to you.” Sri Tulsidas Maharaj continues “Oh! Deva, who is too compassionate and kind as you to the distressed Jeeva? You are the storehouse of virtues, you are Shiromani of wise/intellectuals, you are kind to the Sharanagatha/seeking shelter, and the protector of Ashritha/Jeeva taken shelter, who is skillful and superior to you? You are the knower of all, you are all-pervasive Paramathma Parambhramam resides as soul, you are the Lord of Chara/living and Achara/non-living as well. You are the Hamsa/swan that takes immense pleasure in the beautiful pond-like heart/Manasarovar of Lord Mahadeva. Oh! Prabho, you have showered bountiful love on hunters, tribal people Nishachara Kol and Bheel, Pakshiraj Jatayu, Vanara, Rakshasa, and bear, furthermore you have made all of them as your dearest companion. Oh! Nath, Oh! Mayapathi, you are the essence of the Universe and its living and non-living things, you are inseparable from Mayaroopi Prapancha/Prakrithi. You are the controller of Guna/virtues, Karma/deeds, Dhosha/sins, and Kala/time of the Jeeva. Oh! Chapter 191 – Sri Vinaya Patrika – Sharanagathi Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Prabho, you are my father, I am your child, Oh! Prabho, I have lost the opportunity to achieve Mukthi/get rid of sufferings of Samsara, due to my Ahamkara, Mamakara, interest in worldly matters, possession, richness, wealth, money, fame, attachment to wife, children, relatives, and companions, interest in Nama, Rasa, Roopa, Sparsha, Gandha, etc. Oh! Prabho, kindly protect this Lobhi and wicked Jeeva, you have protected all those distressed Jeeva who have taken shelter at your lotus feet. Oh! Prabho, my limbs are not cooperating with me due to old age and illnesses, mind and intellect are drenched in lust, desires, ego, pride, jealousy and anger, and the tongue is not tired of finding fault in others, telling lies or hurting others. Oh! Prabho, I have failed to achieve the fruitfulness of life by Man/mind – Karama/deeds and Bani/words, I did not practice Shama, Dhama, Sathyam, Dhaya, Dhanam, Astheyam, Bhramacharya, Ahimsa, Arjjavam, Dhrithi, Kshama, etc. Oh! Kripanidhi, you are the only one who could protect me from the sufferings and grief of Samsara, you are the protector of Sadhanaheena Jeeva, you are the purifier of sinners, you are the source of happiness of distressed and orphaned Jeeva, you are the safest asylum to the homeless, Oh! Prabho, you are Dheenabandhu and Dhayalu, I have not a single virtue in me, I have drenched in Ahamkara and Mamakara, been considered as flawless, never felt like an orphan, distressed, or helpless, that caused obstacles to achieve your Kripa. I have never practiced fighting against the innate enemies of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya, or won over them, hence I am going through hellish tortures of Thapathrya/Adhidheivik, Adhibhauthik and Adhyathmik, I am ripening the fruits of the seeds which I scattered; hence I have to take the blame on me. Oh! Prabho, I have been acting like a Sadhu/ascetic, but committed several sins which are uncountable, larger than the Kali era could offer. My mind and intellect wedged in the infinite Nama, Roopa Dhrishya, and has been indulged in material welfare and bodily pleasure, therefore I have been drawn towards the Mahamoharoopi Samsara, completely withdrawn from the Bhagavath Prapthi, Shamadhamadhi, and austerities, all that I was engaged in Vishayavisharoopi material matters and attachment to people. Oh! Maharaj, I have spent whole life in the chase of material matters and bodily pleasure, been in the association of wicked and deceitful people, thus I have lost the achievement of Bhagavath Prapthi and serenity of mind, even after achieving the rarest birth as a human, but somehow, I have managed to taken shelter in the ‘Ramanama’. Oh! Sri Ramachandra, your sacred name ‘Rama’ could create miracles in the life of Jeeva who have taken shelter in it, I think I have taken shelter in the Ramanama which was already written in my fate by the Vidhatha. Oh! Prabho, I have committed several sins due to ignorance/illusion that displeased you, I have nothing else to please you other than my shameless, I shall bow before your lotus feet, begging for pure love and devotion as alms, hence kindly protect me.” 252) Bap! Chapter -48 -Sri Vinaya Patrika - The significance of austerities– Vishayasanga Parithyaga and practice of love and devotion at the lotus feet of Sri Ramachandra/Bhagavath Charana Anurag Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Dheenabandhu who is compassionate to distressed people, Oh! Sukhasindhu who is the ocean of happiness and welfare, Oh! Kripakara, Oh! Karunanidhan Sri Raghunath, I am worn out of Thrividha Thapa/Adhidheivik, Adhibhauthik and Adhyathmik, interest in worldly matters and bondage, Ahamakara and Mamakara/body and I consciousness, impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, and Mathshcharya. Oh! Prabhu, I am completely exhausted by the Thrividha Jwara, even the practice of Yoga and Viyoga is not working effectively. The ignorant Jeeva becomes menace and haughty, takes great pleasures in Bhogavasthu sometimes pretends to be Dharmaparayana Jjani, or unwise King. Oh! Deva, due to the Thrividha Thapa the ignorant Jeeva chases after material matters, possession, richness, wealth, fame, money, etc. sometimes feels the world is a treasure house or spread hatred among the people, or chases after sensual pleasure, and the Jeeva is not freed from the impurities of the mind, hence constantly undergoes grief and sufferings. Oh! Bhagavan, the Samsararoopi Sannipath Jwara/highly infectious illness of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya of worldly existence cannot be evaded without the grace of the supreme Lord. It is the supreme cure to get rid of grief and sufferings of worldly existence and impurities of mind/redundant thoughts, without the grace of the Lord it is impossible to achieve the serenity of mind and liberation from worldly existence. Oh! Bhagavan, your compassionate grace would provide the Jeeva with the nearness of preceptor, who inspire his disciples to undertake Shama, Dhamadhi, Sathyam, Shaucham, Dhaya, Dharma, Thithiksha, austerities, Japa, Thapa, the vow of celibacy and silence, Swadhyaya, Athmavichara, meditation, and contemplation, etc. are the superior cures to get rid of sufferings of worldly existence. I am Tulsidas have taken shelter at the lotus feet of Sri Ramachandra feels that the Samsaroopi Roga/illness of worldly existence will not get cured without the love and devotion to the supreme Lord.” Sri Tulsidas Maharaj continues “Oh! Bhagavan, the Moharoopi impurity encourages the Jeeva to practice immoral deeds, that cannot be destroyed easily, without the crores of austerities and Shamadhamadhi, because the accumulated Vasana/attributes of Sathvik, Rajasik, Thamasik nature in the Jeeva added in the several births forces the Jeeva to follow the immoral deeds. The infinite Nama Roopa Dhrishya influence the Jeeva to get attached to it easily, forgetting the Nijaswaroopa/Athman in it, the interest in worldly matters and bondage driven the Jeeva far from the Paramathma reside as a soul in it, the eyes got polluted by looking cravingly at the Parasthree/strange women, the Vishayasanga/ association with the wicked, ill-mannered, interest in worldly matters caused the mind impure, the attributes/Vasana, Ahamkara on the body and Mamakara spoiled the heart as well. Oh! Bhagavan, the Jeeva moved afar from the Nijaswaroopa/Athma is Paramathma, forgets to remember the lotus feet of Sri Ramachandra, their ears got polluted by hearing gossips, their tongue got polluted by cursing and blaming others. Oh! Bhagavan, the Veda, and sacred scriptures emphasizes the ways to achieve purity of mind by practicing Vrath, Thapa, Japa, Jjan, Athmavidhya, etc. I am Tulsidas have taken shelter at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Ramachandra feels that without the Premaroopi water at the lotus feet of Supreme Lord it is impossible to cure the impurities of the mind.” 81) Dheenabandhu Sukhasindhu Kripakara Karunika Raghurayi | Sunahu Natha! Chapter – 150 -Sri Vinaya Pathrika – The significance of devotion to get rid of sufferings of Samsara and Samsarachakra Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Raghuvamshamani, when did I achieve your compassionate grace, so that I can get rid of sufferings of Samsara and repeated births, like the hunter Valmiki who was living a pathetic life, stealing the wealth of travelers in the wood, and hunting down the animals was met the Sages in the forest and achieved their grace, an untamed elephant Gajendra lived merrily with the herds of female elephants in the forest of Chitrakoot, took great pleasure in the pond was caught in the leg by a crocodile, although the family put great effort to save his life went futile, finally, lost his entire power and called out for Lord Hari was got liberated, the twice-born Ajamila who have abandoned the Vedavihitha Karma and lived with the prostitute, while in the death bed cried out ‘Narayana’ for his younger son, to protect from the dreadful emissaries of Lord Yama was got liberated, in this way many more wicked and deceitful Jeevas got liberated from the dreadful Samsara? Oh! Prabho, when will you accept me as one of your devotees? when will you liberate me from the grief of Samsara? When will you accept this sinner, Dheena, Heena? Oh! Prabho, I have taken several births in different Yoni, and continued to perform various sinful deeds, did not follow any of the spiritual or religious deeds prescribed in the Veda and scriptures, kindly do not take them into your heart. Oh! Pathithapavan, you are unconquerable, you are the knower of all, you are prominent in various fields. Oh! Prabho, the protection of the Jeeva who have taken shelter at your lotus feet is one of your foremost vows and it is one of your remarkable virtues as well. Oh! Prabho, you are too compassionate to Jeeva, when will you shower your compassionate grace upon me? Oh! Prabho, my mind, and intellect are swollen with pride, jealousy, lust, desire, ego, and anger, I am surrounded by the dreadful enemies of interest in material well-being and bodily pleasure, Ahamkara, Mamakara, when will you destroy these wicked enemies and their clan, thereby protect me from the grief of Samsara? Or Do you expect me to achieve Gnana, Vijjana, and take up Yoga, Japa, Yajja, or do you look on my devotion at your lotus feet and protect me from the sufferings of Samsara? Or do you leave Tulsidas considering him as Neechashiromani/virtueless lacks austerities, Shamadhamadhi/Sadhanarahith, deceitful and wicked, swollen with Ahamkara, Mamakara, impurities of mind? Oh! Prabho, if you abandon me after seeing the impurities in me, how do you prove your virtues sung by the Veda and scriptures? Hence, kindly shower your compassionate grace upon me and protect me from the sufferings of Samsara and Samsarachakra.” 211) Kabahu Raghubamsamani!
