I have been lucky enough to attend the Cath Kidston Spring Summer 2017 press show. Last week saw the opportunity to preview many of the new prints and products that will be launched next year. The theme of the show was 'Park Life' and featured products displayed on park benches, cut outs of dogs, a playground for the children's display and a display of umbrellas. The first design to catch my eye was this striking "Painted Horses' print (below) which featured on a skirt, top and various bags. Another eye catching print was "London Park" which perfectly fitted the brief for Cath Kidston's Spring Summer collection influenced by strolls in the park and gatherings in the garden. Jeanne McGee is a printmaker living in Minneapolis, MN and who loves to carve and print small stamps. Jeanne then uses her stamps to print delicate patterns onto reclaimed wood, paper and fabric. Her patterns are inspired by nature and she works from a studio overlooking a beautiful park.
