This 60+ page non-fiction fluency pack has 18 Australian animal selections, each with three components. The Flesch-Kincaid reading levels are 6.1 to 8.6, but grade-level 4th and 5th graders should have no trouble reading these selections as long as the teacher back-fills the pertinent vocabulary. Here are the components. First, there is the selection without the word counts, secondly, there is the selection WITH the word counts at the end of each line, and thirdly each selection has text-dependent extended response question pages. There is a table of contents with hyperlinks so that you won't have to scroll and scroll to find a selection or graph for a particular day. Additionally I included two progress monitoring graphs. One graph is from 10-360 WPM and the other is from 50-400 WPM. This product can last an entire nine weeks term if used twice weekly. Fluency is such an important aspect of student reading progress because it’s a bridge to comprehension. There are two pages for compare/contrast writing; a graphic organizer and a writing template. There are also 38 no prep DIGITAL PAGES included. If you purchase open the green view files tab to get access to both the PDF and digital Easel pages. You can choose the pages for your student's devices. Simply go to edit pages and remove the ones you wish to remove for any given assignment. If you wish to change your selections you can revert back to the original pages and choose again. When you click the "assign" tab you will get a code for your students' devices. Animal selections included: Dingo Echidna Kookaburra Lorakeet Wombat Wallaby/Kangaroo Koala Platypus Cassowary Tasmanian Devil Sulphur-Crested Cockatoo Black Swan Australian Bird-Eating Spider Serrated Snapping Turtle Amethystine Python Black Flying Fox Quokka Dugong Here is a try-it version: Test Ready Fluency:Australian Echidna
