Sie haben anhand von Ultraschallmessungen eine wertvolle Studie erstellt, die die bisherigen Ansätze der Behandlung einer Rektusdiastase auf den Kopf stellen. Kernaussage der neuen Studie ist: Es ist nicht die Distanz der beiden Rektusbäuche (gerade Bauchmuskeln) die interessant ist, sondern eher der Zustand bzw. die Beschaffenheit der Mittellinie. Demnach ist es relativ zwecklos und anatomisch nicht logisch, nur die „Lücke“ zu schließen. Passive Maßnahmen wie etwa ein Gurt, behandeln ausschließlich die Symptome der gespaltenen Rektusbäuche (Muskulatur), nicht aber die Ursache. Es macht viel mehr Sinn bei der Ursache anzusetzen. Also warum die Diastase entstanden ist und vorallem warum sie weiterhin besteht, als die Spalte mit passiven Maßnahmen anzunähern. Betrachtet man zB Bilder von Bodybuildern sieht man bei eigentlich fast allen eine eindeutige Rektusdiastase. Doch was man auch sieht, ist eine stabile Linea Alba - der Bauch bildet keine instabile Kuhle und genau darum geht es jetzt.
