How about a monochromatic masculine "Country Livin" card? I decided to use early espresso ink as my main color for this rustic gem, and a super easy watercolor technique. I stamped the images in early espresso ink, and used a blender pen to gently rub over the lines of the...
Hey, there, everyone! It’s that colorful time of the week, Color Throwdown time! Today Kerri has chosen a subdued color palette inspired by this gorgeous home scene. It’s not at ALL my style, but I sure can appreciate it’s beauty. I’m using PI – Cowgirl for my card today. I stamped her on Neenah Classic Crest Cover, Solar White Smooth, 130lb paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her with Copic markers. I’m using Sweet Tooth card stock, Black Licorice card stock, Kraft card stock, an Orange Fizz button, hemp cord, Die-namics Western Star Border Duo, Die-namics Mini Tab Foursome, and Die-namics Photo Corners from the MFT Boutique. The sentiment is from a recently released set, LJD Howdy… …as is the sentiment on the inside of the card… Here are the Die-namics dies I used on this card: And that’s it from me! Remember, you do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge. If you don't, just use the closest you have. So, c'mon over to the Color Throwdown blog and play along with us this week. Please use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD216 so we can see your beauty all in one place. Hope to see you there! Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week, including our awesome October Guest Designer, Dawn Easton! Barbara Anders (
Hi Crafty Friends, Those of you who know me, know how much I love interactive or construction style of cards. I recently discovered a few new dies from Our Daily Bread Designs which I had to add to my stash. My card today uses one of those dies .... the Double Display Card die and it's coordinating Double Display Layers die set. To decorate my card I used an new MFT Stamps stamp set called Saddle Up & Celebrate. I layered the cowboy and cowgirl and three balloons onto a circle panel which I then adhered to the left hand side of the card so that it was centred when the card is closed. When you open the card up it reveals the rest of the cowboy scene ... the cacti; cowboy cake; wagon wheels and sentiments. Here is another look at my card when it is opened so you can see how I have added the cacti images to both inner panels of the card. You've Got This has been a really popular stamp set among my customer's. I think the fact that you can either color it or leave it plain and stamp on colored cardstock gives this stamp set great versatility. We all want stamp sets that can provide unique and fresh look each time we stamp it. ... Read More about Stampin’ Up! You’ve Got This Stamp Set
I made this card for the challenge at: Try Stampin on Tuesday This is my first time playing along here. It's so exciting.😊 I used my Cozy Cottage stampin up set. I spent a little time coloring it in and then went to work sponging the sky and grassy area. The trees are a bit bright, but I didn't know how to tame down the color. So it's a whimsical cozy cottage perhaps right of of a Disney movie. I stamped the inside with a lovely sentiment. Thank you for stopping by for a visit. Please take a moment to look around my blog at all my cards, projects and pictures. I'd love to have you follow me. Keep Smiling and Keep Stamping
Yesterday was the birthday of a friend who is a horse lover. As soon as I saw this set in the Spring-Summer catty I knew that the Let It Ride stamps would be perfect for her. I wasn’t feeling quite brave enough for watercolouring on this occasion (a project for the future) so I had […]

Sending and receiving Christmas cards is one of my most favorite holiday traditions! But what do you do with all those cards after Christmas? So many people send photo cards these days that it just seems like such a shame to put them all in the recycling bin or to store them in some box... View Article

Hi and thanks for visiting :) Today marks the start of our latest fortnightly challenge over on the Aussies Who Love Stampin' Up! Facebook Group. Our latest challenge #AWLSU024 is a CASE the Catalogue challenge. The below image is from page 27 of the 2019 Occasions Catalogue. Just Copy And Selectively Edit or take inspiration from any of the 3 projects in the below image. Myself and the other group admins will share our creations to start off each challenge and hopefully help kick-start and inspire your creativity. If you live in Australia and are interested in participating in our fortnightly challenges, click here to join the group :) ************************************* The inspiration for my card came from the Thank You card (bottom left) in our challenge image. My card base uses Crumb Cake cardstock and I stamped the images from the new Let It Ride cling stamp set in Early Espresso ink. The background images were stamped directly onto a piece of Wood Textures Designer Series Paper. The main horse image and sentiment were stamped on to a piece of Whisper White cardstock and cut out using the new Rectangle Stitched Framelits. I coloured the horse using my Soft Suede Light and Dark Stampin' Blends markers. I wrapped some Linen thread around my DSP layer prior to adhering it to my card base. The sentiment piece was adhered using some mini dimensionals. Thanks so much for your support and for visiting me today :) If you enjoy what I do, I would love you to Like and Follow my Facebook page, and Pin my cards on Pinterest (or you can follow me on Pinterest). Welcome back to Monday Montage!!! We are back with another fabulous hop! Make sure you click on the links below so you don't miss any of the creations...you are sure to love them all! Our county fair was going on this past week and our family took in part of the action this weekend, which inspired today's card. We attended the parade Saturday morning and braved the craziness of the fair Saturday evening. We had plans to attend the rodeo, but the boys all had so much fun visiting all of the animals and hanging out with friends, so we just enjoyed the time together. Since moving to our new house and adding a few new critters to our lives, all three boys were very interested in learning all they could about many of the farm animals. It was pretty awesome to hear them ask so many great questions! Supplies Used: Paper ~Tip Top Taupe, Whisper White Ink ~ Basic Black, Early Espresso, Soft Suede, Tip Top Taupe, Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron Stamp Set ~ Country Livin' , Hardwood Other Supplies ~ Burlap Ribbon Our funny farm started out with a goat on lease, which we have all quickly fallen in love with. It will be a sad day when Trigger has to move to his new home with his family, but there have already been numerous conversations of getting some baby goats in the spring and possibly a cow. Never in my life did I picture us living the farm life, but I love it! Especially all of our chickens. We currently have 6 baby chicks and 6 egg laying hens. I love seeing the boys take care of them, especially when they do it all on their own without being asked! Next stop on the hop is Cathy...I can't wait to see what she has for us this week! Or if you want to hop backwards, you can hop on back to the amazing Amy...I just love her style! Thanks for hopping along with us today! Happy Stamping!

At my August workshop I featured cards using the Dakota paper. I loved using this paper so much. I wish the colors in my photos had turned out better because they are so rich and gorgeous in person! I've also become a bit obsessed with the Durables Studs. They look so good. I want to add them to all of my projects now. The first card was inspired by Alissa Chilton. I had to switch it up to accommodate the size of card I was using and the papers I already used in the other projects. Next up is a quick and easy card that is very striking in person. Using the durables studs help carry that masculine feel. And last, but definitely not least... is my favorite of the bunch!! It can be a card or a gift card holder. Check out my video below for more details. I love this style of card and plan to make more!
