A set of 2 English countryside 6.5 inch bowls with lots of crazing and silverware markings in the bottom. There is crazing in the glaze on these bowls, they have been well loved. We were thinking they could be used as candleholders for a party table scape or for saucers under your plants. The edges are a beautiful embossed fruit design. The price is reflective of the cracked glaze. Hello! Thanks for stopping by our shop! We are Denise & Shelley. Funny story about us: We both earned the title “Mother-in-Law” for the first time on the same date (Denise’s daughter married Shelley’s son)! We met because our kiddos got married and then discovered our mutual love for everything vintage (& our husbands get along very well too). We also both graduated from the same university so now we travel together in our spare time to cheer on our team and do some antiquing too. (Update: We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our first ever granddaughter! She will make us both “Grandma” on the same day! ) 🎀 Follow our shop: www.CABcollective.Etsy.com so you can see as we add new items to our listings. We want you to be excited about the purchases you make from our shop, please reach out to us if you have any questions about a listing. We are happy to help! Remember, vintage items and antiques have been previously owned and as such, minor flaws from previous use can be present. We do our best to describe any issues that we see and ask that you look at all of the pictures before you make a purchase. We don’t want you to be surprised about the condition of an item when it arrives. Keep Celebrating Antique Beauty! ~ Denise & Shelley Legal Things: Our shop does not offer refunds or exchanges. I have been SO excited to decorate for Halloween this year. I've been collecting things and ideas since the end of August. I've finally got the house in enough order and most of it unpacked that I couldn't wait any longer. I'm only about half done, I still need to do out side and get some pumpkins but for now this will hold me over. I pinned a lot of ideas on Pinterest and these are some that I actually did. I made my own spell book from a old dictionary I found at DI. I made my spell pages in Printshop and distressed them to make them look old and well used. I turned the corners of the book and sprayed random pages with a water. I also used my brown ink to make it look older. I love how it turned out!! I also used some inspiration I saw at Pottery Barn. I've been collecting apothecary jars from HomeGoods for a few months knowing what I wanted to use them for ~ best place to buy them! The skulls I found at Michaels and grabbed them right away and the crow I found at Dollar Tree. I also found a tulle wreath on Pinterest and knew I wanted to make my own. I added some ribbon I found at Michaels and a glittery spider. I used my favorite frame from Hobby Lobby to put a print from Less Cake More Frosting that she designed. I'm still searching for a square bowl to put on top of that candle holder and paint it all black so I can stick in a white pumpkin. I made the small stand from a candle plate and candle stick I found at the Dollar Tree. Love this Spooky sign from Michaels. Like I said I'm still working on my outside entry but I do have my lantern out for now. I saw this table runner at the Polka Dot Market and LOVED it!! But the price was a little high so I figured I could make my own and I love how it turned out. I'm planning on putting 3 white pumpkins with vinyl "Trick or Treat" on them to go on top but I'm still waiting on the vinyl to arrive that I ordered so I'll show ya that once it's done. I still have more to do. I'm making my specimen jars and of course waiting on my pumpkins and a few other spooky things but this will get me started. Hope you enjoyed it! Superhero birthday party
Spencer Special Events had the unique opportunity to design, plan, and coordinate one dynamite Bat Mitzvah celebration for a darling young lady this past Fall. We were so honored to plan the ultimate party for Allessandra and adored working with her entire family! Enjoy these great images by the ever so talented Landon Jacob and the details for a fun coastal inspired Bat Mitzvah Celebration. The celebration was held at Hampton Hall Clubhouse in Bluffton, South Carolina, starting with mocktails and cocktails, passed hors d'oeuvres, crudités, and gourmet cheese station. The escort card display reflected the motif of sand dollars and starfish which was carried throughout the evening. A Floral Affair design a great focal point above the outdoor mocktail and cocktail bar. The paper details by Emily McCarthy were exquisite. From the custom designed invitation (which was sent in a darling hand lettered box, not an envelope!) signature monogram, escort cards, cocktail napkins, beach towels, hand towels, table markers, menus, signage, and even a custom designed vinyl dance floor, no detail was too small and no detail overlooked. Custom draped perfectly by Party Tables, the ballroom was separated into two dining spaces, one for adults and one for Allessandra and her friends. Each section of the ballroom and table was designed to be unique and the flowers by A Floral Affair were flawless! The real kid fun began after dinner where surprise after surprise awaited them. There was the custom t-shirt designer ready to create every guest a t-shirt that made a great favor to enjoy! There was a Pino Gelato Cart and Cotton Candy Station for all to indulge! Palmetto Kettle Corn was a fun and tasty addition to the party with freshly made popcorn served up in signature monogram bags. In a room off the dance floor awaited a surprise that definitely knocked the guests socks off! A beautiful candy buffet, full of Allessandra's hand picked favorite candies and chocolates, was a delicious treat. And talk about eye candy! The party would not have been complete without a tremendous entertainment team. These guys got the crowd dancing, flipped over chairs, stood on their heads, and didn't stop moving song after song. The amazing Electric Company featuring DJ Sir Andrew spun until late into the night. When things finally started to wind down, a respite was found outside under cafe lights and stars for a campfire and s'mores. We hope this is one celebration that Allessandra won't soon forget and it's an event we will treasure forever. What fun we had planning a dream party for such a fabulous family! Be sure to pick up a copy of Occasions Mitzvah's now on sale for even more details about this event and an interview with the family! This event would not be possible without the extreme talent of our vendor friends, all listed below. Thank you, friends! Cake: Savannah Custom Cakes, Minette Rushing. Florist: A Floral Affair. Shiver me timbers!!! It's been far too long since this pirate gal last put together a tablescape. And Donna over at Funky Junk is having a special catagory for tablescapes this week for her Saturday Nite Special blog party. If you haven't visited her blog, you are definitely a Scallawag. So come aboard and visit my Pirate tablescape, just in time to get you in the mood for Halloween. And don't worry, I won't make you walk the plank. Unless you didn't bring treats!!! My favorite thing is the treasure chest. The pirate plates are plastic & came from Dollar Tree last year. I love that store!!! I placed them on my white charger plates that came from Amazon (again last year). I love these charger plates. They go with almost all my plates. The silverware came from Marshall's some time back. I don't remember who the maker is. They were on clearance. So I love them. The white napkins were a clearance item from Walmart. The silver napkin rings I got at Goodwill while on vacation last summer. The plastic skull candy cups came from the 99 cent only store. I'm using them to hold battery operated tea light candles. The goblets are from Walmart. I wrapped a skull bracelet from the 99 cent only store around the stem. I got 4 bracelets for 99 cents. And sorry, they were a purchase from last year as well. Everything in this tablescape is from last year. A close up of the skull bracelet. I'm into skulls this year. A photo with just candle light. Here is the treasure chest. I love how this turned out. I found the metal chest at a local thrift store for $2.00. I didn't have to do anything to it. It was painted cream on the outside & gold on the inside. I added some creepy cloth as lining. Added a silver pedestal with a skull candle holder, a small silver tray and all my costume jewelry. Well, almost all of it. If a pirate breaks into my house this week, they will have it easy on finding my loot. Doesn't this remind you of the Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland? A mini skeleton keeps guard over the treasure. I can't remember where this skull candle holder came from. I have a battery operated tea light candle in him as well. I placed him on the silver pedestal. I've had the silver candlesticks for years. The crystal bobeches came from Bombay company on clearance. I miss that store. They had the best clearance stuff. More skeletons keep guard on the table. Another view of the table. Did I tell you that I love how this treasure chest turned out? I need to win the lottery so I can buy real jewels. But it's hard to win when you don't play. Dead man's chest!!! Do you recognize this pirate? Sorry, but no rum will be served at this party. Just pepsi!!! I've got to run now. Captain Jack Sparrow is at my door. Are you jealous? I thought so. But before I go, I'll just leave you with this. Enjoy!!! And for those of you who are regulars to my blog. Yes, I cheated. This is actually my Halloween tablescape from last year. But I just love this tablescape & I had to share it again. I hope you don't mind. Besides, Chari over at Happy to Design has a blog party called Sunday Favorites. We are suppose to repost something from the past. So there!
Spinach basil pesto will add a burst of flavour to almost any dish. Garden-fresh and delicious!
