My aunt got 41 roses for her birthday, last week. I got to keep them for photos when they started to die. It was the best afternoon I'd had in about a month. I like saints. I like studying them. I like knowing their lives and their iconographic attributes. This is a bit of a result of that. I'm posting a before/after of this shot on my facebook page! I am about 150 people short of 2.000 likes, and I'd love it if you could help me reach that number! There's going to be a print giveaway when that happens! Also, I'm starting to feature other artists on my page there — sort of a giving back thing — so if you'd like to be featured, submit your work through a message on the facebook page or through a comment on the appropriate post, here! (+2 in the comments) I will keep asking: do not blog my photos without credit AND linking back; do not use weheartit.com to bookmark my photos and please please PLEASE don't instagram my work. Thanks to those of you who respect these requests. facebook || 500px || website || blog || vimeo

331/365 So I'm back home in Illinois! This past week was incredible and I feel so lucky to have met so many wonderful people and to have experienced everything I did. Definitely something I'll remember for the rest of my life, I can't wait to see every one again! This was one of the last things I shot at the meetup. Most people had already left for home, so a small group of us went into this aqueduct under LA, then walked through the most beautiful rolling hills I've seen. Thanks to Taylor, Brendon, Evan, Sam, Vera, and Kevin for being in this shot (in that order I think). And thanks to Joey for helping, I wanted to fit every one in the frame, but it was too tight!
