Happy Saturday Peeps!!! This week on the Dynamic Duos challenge, it is Monochromatic week: I love these pinks. I sorta CASED my own card, you can see it HERE, I used the same set and same layout for this card but I wanted to try it using some for the Stampin Up First Edition DSP, I have seen this done around and really like the look. I stamped the poppies onto the DSP with black stazon and then again onto some white card stock. I used my aqua painter and pretty in pink ink to color all the flowers in. I then used regal rose ink to shade. I then cut out the flower heads and added them to the DSP piece with some dimensionals. I added some scallops along the side using one of the Adorning Accents Edgelit Dies. I used some retired Regal Rose grosgrain ribbon across the bottom and then added a few pearls around. The base of the card is Crumb Cake card stock. I almost never make a card with out adding a sentiment to the front but I really couldn't make one work on this one. The finished inside: Be sure and head over to the Dynamic Duos Blog to see what the rest of the design team did with this fun color challenge. Thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING!! Vicki

Ann Schach uses the Stippled Roses stamp set to create a vintage-style birthday card reminiscent of old botanical prints.
Finding time to stamp the last few days has been tough! I thought I was in good shape with Christmas stuff a week ago and now all of a sudden I seem to have a mile long to-do list! But I have so many new products I want to try out that I'm squeezing in a bit of stamping whenever I can! I used the CASE the designer challenge at Inspire.Create for my card today. Using the layout made this one come together quickly (except for the coloring!). I started with a Pebbled Path base then added a layer of Basic White. On the Basic White layer I arranged my strips of Nature's Sweetness DSP around the outside edges to make a nice little frame for he star of the show! I stamped the image in Pecan Pie then pulled out my colored pencils. The coloring really didn't take that long at all and before I knew it I had beautiful almond branch. Next it was die cut it and popped up on dimensionals on the card front. For the sentiment I wanted to try out the new Thoughtful Moments Hybrid embossing folder. This one has 10 different sentiments on it and comes with a large die that cuts out each of the sentiments as well a bunch of smaller dies that are shapes to accent the sentiments like hearts, stars and flowers. The neat thing about this hybrid design is that you can ink up the embossing folder with the new brayer and get a cool inked outline around the embossed words. I gave it a go and after a few practice tries with color/paper combos I got one I liked but it was a little stark so I ended up filling in the open space with my Pecan Pie light blends marker. I know I'll be using this set of products a lot in the coming months! The only embellishments that I thought this design needed were a few retired adhesive-backed speckled dots which go well with the green of the leaves. All of the current products used to make this card can be purchased in my ONLINE STORE. Products marked with a * will be available starting January 4, 2024. Thanks for looking! Did you stamp today? Stamps: Lovely & Sweet* Ink: Pecan Pie Colored Pencils: Daffodil Delight, Pecan Pie, Old Olive, Early Espresso, Calypso Coral Blends: Pecan Pie light Paper: Pebbled Path, Basic White, Nature's Sweetness DSP* Accessories: Thoughtful Moments Hybrid embossing folder/dies*, dimensionals, adhesive-backed speckled dots (retired)

Having a pen pal helps promote many key developmental skills. Sure we can hop online any time and be in contact with someone from the other side of the world, but having a snail mail pen pal has it's perks too! The most obvious skills practiced with sending and receiving letters in the mail are reading and writing. This is a great opportunity to focus on practicing punctuation, capitalization, and long hand writing as in not short cutting phrases like "that was funny" into "LOL." I'm sure any ch

Hello stampers and happy Friday to you. In the Moment is a brand new stamp set that feels like it was made just for me. Perhaps you will feel the same way when you see it. It resonated so strongly with me that I was inspired to create a class around it, and not just any class. Are you curious? In The Moment Day Away Class The images are all of a woman with curly hair. She is either drinking wine, reading a book or sipping a coffee looking out the window. Does that sound like me?? Not

Click Here to Vote for My Card Hello and welcome to my blog. I've made this beautiful thank you card for Kylie's International Blog Highlights. I'm asking you to please vote for my card so I can participate in her Top 10 Blog Hop! CLICK HERE TO VOTE! Look for entry #7. Just click on the heart in the upper right-hand corner. It will turn red when you have voted. The card I'm featuring today is an easel card made with the awesome Earthen Textures Dies and the Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper. The above picture is the view when it is taken out of the envelope. The below pictures show it in its easel form. The card base is a 4 1/4" x 11" piece of Night of Navy cardstock scored at 5 1/2" and 2 3/4". The 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Basic White is embossed with the Exposed Brick Embossing Folder. Below are all the pieces I cut using the Earthen Textures Dies and the Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper. Boho Blue was used for the large palm, the sticks, and the smaller palm. Another palm and stick were cut from Night of Navy. Distressed Gold Specialty paper was used for the leaves and pod and punched with the Bough punch. Below are closeups of each vase. The thank you from Go to Greetings was stamped on Basic White in Night of Navy and cut with a die from the Something Fancy Dies set. The bordering base was cut with a die from the same set out of Boho Blue cardstock. This was mounted on dimensionals. I decided to see how the card front would look in a 4" x 6" frame. Below is the results and I love it! What do you think? Click on the box below to download your free tutorial. To duplicate this card, I have links to all the supplies I used below. I was going to make a tri-fold card like the one on Cathy Proctor's blog (whatcathymade.com.au) but got a little carried away and made a sampler instead! The Crafting With You bundle is a great set for anyone who crafts. Whether you stamp, sew, paint or knit, it's all there for you. I do them all, so designing this project was fun for me. I used a piece of 12" x 12" Countryside Inn DSP for the base. Then I stamped and cut out all these little pieces using Crumb Cake, Night of Navy, Boho Blue, Misty Moonlight and Basic White. After I arranged the larger pieces in the squares, I scattered the spools of thread, buttons and hearts around the sampler. It looks a bit like the way I craft....all over the place!
