Hi everyone. Laurie here from the design team with my Graphic 45 Ocean Blue Waterfall Album. For my second project, I wanted to make something that I could add my favorite photos from my time spent in the San Diego area to. The Ocean Blue collection by Graphic 45 is so perfect! Ocean Blue Waterfall Album Album Details I used weight chipboard to create my cover. Next, I covered the chipboard with ivory linen cardstock and, matted the patterned paper with navy card stock. I only sponged ink on the edges of the patterned paper. I had some "ribbon" in my stash that resembled netting so I added a strip to the cover. After that, I used the circle die cut element and fussy cut the seahorse and fish from the Cozumel sheet. I used a die from my stash to create some "seaweed" for the fish to swim through, and jazzed up the corners with some of the Matte Pearl Gems. Inside of the Album On the inside, I added two waterfalls (one on each cover piece) with regular Graphic 45 tags as the closures. I then used some lightweight twine to tie them closed. Right Waterfall Left Waterfall Each waterfall has the same papers from the Graphic 45 Ocean Blue 12x12 Collection Pack on each page. I added a navy mat to the tag closures using the G45 Regular Tag and Gears Die Set. Then, I added some patterned paper and a small cut apart to each one. I added a full mat to the top page, a 3/8-inch strip to cover the scored flap, and a 3/4-inch strip to the bottom of each page using the tan striped sheet from the Ocean Blue Patterns and Solids Collection. On the back of the pages I added a 3/4-inch strip at the top (when flipped up). Open Waterfall Individual Waterfall Pages A Special Addition I wanted to add something for special journaling to this album so I used the lined booklet from the Graphic 45 Notebook Set. I covered the outside and inside of the covers with papers from the 12x12 collection pad and added some elements from the Stickers and Die Cut Assortment found here. Travel Journal Cover So, on the back cover of the Travel Journal I added my favorite piece from the Ocean Blue Ephemera Pack... Back of Travel Journal I added two eyelets to the spine and attached the journal using some heavy baker's twine from my stash. Finally, I tied on some fun nautical trinkets that I found online to give it vintage finishing touch. Spine with Trinkets I had so much fun making this album. The Graphic 45 Ocean Blue Waterfall Album may look complicated but is surprisingly simple to put together. I will have all of the details and some step by step helps on my blog at laurieslazydaydesigns.blogspot.com I can't wait to add my photos of whale watching, seals, and sunny days spent by the bay to these fun little waterfalls! It is sure to be a great way to relive those wonderful memories. I hope you are inspired to create a keepsake album of your own. Graphic 45 really came through with this collection! I could almost smell the ocean when I was working with it! See you soon with another fun project! Ciao a tutti!Oggi vorrei proporvi in progetto molto popolare e diffuso, del quale però è molto difficile trovare spiegazioni in italiano o misure in cm.
Hello everyone! I'm running a little late with this post so I hope you'll forgive me. I have something a little different to share with you today. Recently I've been sharing a few mini albums with you, and this is along those lines but a little simpler. I found this great waterfall folio project on My Sister's Scrapper (you can see the original inspiration here) and I thought I would give it a try as it seemed so quick. After making a prototype following the tutorial, I changed things around just a little and made the one below. I decided to use Pion Design's Shoreline Treasures collection for this as I had quite a few left over papers in my stash and I only had to buy a couple of additional pages. I also thought the girl on one of the images reminded me quite a lot of the Saturated Canary digi Vintage Swim, so I thought I would use her on the front along with some maritime themed dies, and this made her perfect for my DT contribution to Deep Ocean Challenge's new challenge 'Maritime'. Pop across there if you would like to enter or just need some great inspiration, I have some uber talented team mates! Anyway, this is what I made. I coloured the stamp with distress inks to echo the image from the paper shown below. Skin: Vintage Photo, Tattered Rose, Fired Brick Hair: Antique Linen, Walnut Stain Outfit: Faded Jeans, Fired Brick (I've also used a white Posca Pen to add the spots and piping) Background: Faded Jeans, Weathered Wood, Stormy Sky, Tumbled Glass. All my edges are inked with Walnut Stain Distress Ink for a slightly vintage feel. I used a lot of charms on the spine. I also have a video uploaded on YouTube, you can watch below or follow the link if you prefer to watch on YT. I used the following products on my make: Vintage Swim Shoreline Treasures Papers Big Anchor Charm Angel Fish Charm Dragonfly Charm Ship's Wheel Charm Shell Charm Starfish Charm 6 mm Flatback Pearls La-La Land Birds Die La-La Land Wheel and Anchor Die CC Designs Make a Card # 4 Walnut Stain Distress Ink La-La Land Crafts Under the Sea Die Set (Dies to Die for should have these in stock in the future) You can find the original tutorial I followed here. That's all from me today, I hope you enjoyed my project and that it inspired you to make something yourself :) xx

Ok, ok I know it's supposed to be tutorial Tuesday but we can have tutorial Wednesday for once right?! Sorry I didn't get the tutorial up yesterday, I was waiting for some new stamps and papers to come in to make this project, and gosh am I glad I did wait! I absolutely LOVE the new stamps and the papers are gorgeous *swoon*, just look at the prettiness! So today we are making a Waterfall Card. You will need: - White Card - Card Blank (or you can fold your own with the white card) - Patterned Paper and matching coloured card (I used the new Chalkboard Collection Pack) - Brads x2 (or you can use eyelets) - Stamps/die cuts/stickers - Ink pads (I used Memento Black ink to stamp my flowers) - Glue - Optional flowers for decoration If you are using stamps then start by cutting yourself out 4 or 5 squares of white card. Mine were about 4.5cm. Stamp your images onto them. I also inked the edges of my squares but this is optional. If you are using die cuts or stickers then you don't need to do this step, as you can see I used stamped images and 1 die cut. Now cut yourself 5 squares in your coordinating coloured card. These will want to be approx 0.5cm bigger than your white squares. Or if you are using die cuts or stickers then they will want to be just bigger than your shapes, but make sure they are square! Stick your stamped images/die cuts to the coloured card. Cut yourself a new piece of white card the full long length of an A4 piece and the width of your squares. So mine was 5cm wide by 29.7cm long. Measure up from one end the size of your square and mark it. This is where you will put your first score line. Then you will make 4 more score lines 1.5cm apart. Now you can start to glue your squares to the scored length of card. Add one square to the bottom so that it covers the whole space. Then you want to add some glue to each of the 1.5cm sections and adhere just the top of the squares. Get your card blank (or fold yourself one with some more white card, mine measured approx 10cm x 21cm) and decorate the front. I have used another piece of pink card and some patterned paper. You will also need to cut yourself a piece of coloured card the width of your card by 1.5cm. So mine was 10cm x 1.5cm. Attach the extra piece of card to the front of your decorated card using either brads or eyelets just at the edges. You will need to leave the middle of the piece of card unstuck so you can slip your waterfall part through it. You need to place it so that the waterfall has enough room to sit above it. Mine was approx 1/3 of the way up from the bottom. Now adhere the bottom of the waterfall part to the piece of card you just attached and fold the top part of the white card back and under the strip. You can now pull on the white card that comes out the bottom to make sure your waterfall works. Now all you have to do is trim down the white card pull tab to a length you are happy with and add a flower or other embellishment to finish it off. All done :) I love how effective and fun waterfall cards are and I hope you do too. These cards are especially good for children. Have fun and if you make a waterfall card we would love to see. Feel free to share a link here or pictures on our Facebook Page. Happy Crafting, Maxine xx
I love making mini albums, I think they make wonderful gifts for friends and family. Here is one that is my favourite: It measures 4 1/2" wide and 8 1/2" tall. Inside there is room for fourteen 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" photos/menus/recipes/parenting tips/wedding wishes or whatever you'd like to use it for. There's also a pocket to store memorabilia, tickets, money, and whatever else you can think of... The flaps flip up and down to create the 'waterfall'. We made these in a class last night and it was really fun! Hope you like it too. Thanks for stopping by. Don't forget if you place a $50 order or more from me this week you will receive a FREE package of ribbon. Just scroll down for more information. Happy Stamping! Carol
