This is a daily stuffmas (vlogmas)!
Hello my friends! So I'm coming in today to talk to you about the month of December and Blogmas. I know that Vlogmas is a huge thing on Youtube, but I don't vlog, I don't really like being on camera, and so I thought I would do a Blogmas this year. It will be my first ever Blogmas and I'm quite excited to do it. At first I thought I would leave it up in the air and just post whatever I came up with that day, but after thinking about it a little more, I decided that having topics would be better so that I don't draw a blank. I sat down this morning and compiled a list from 1 to 25 with different topics for each day, with each one relating to Christmas and the holiday season. If you want to join in, just save the above list to your computer and follow each day's prompt. So number 1 on the list will be December 1st and so on. I'm really looking forward to sharing our traditions, our tree, our food and all our Christmas memories and preparations during the next month. If you want to join in, let me know and I'll put up a Mr. Linky every day :) There really aren't many rules to participate, all I ask is that you don't change any of the topics and stick to the list, otherwise, well, it wouldn't be my list LOL Even if no one joins in, I just wanted to put up this post and let you all know what to expect for the month of December. Buttons for every day.....feel free to use!
A list of 100+ idea of what to blog, journal or make a video about during this Vlogmas or Blogmas
I talk through my experience doing Vlogmas as a smaller creator for the first time. What I will change for next time, the mistakes and the good stuff that happened!

I can't believe it's officially vlogmas! If you're new here, Vlogmas is where I film daily vlogs for the next 25 days leading up to Christmas. This is my third year doing it, and I'm so excited to share my official intro video. Make sure you're subscribed to my YouTube…
It’s the most beautiful time of the year, as Justin Bieber would say. Not only is it the perfect moment to “relax” and enjoy a delicious hot chocolate during those cold days in front of the daily video of the queen of vlogmas herself Alisha Marie, but the holiday season is also a key moment for small business owners and of course content creators. This year, I decided to jump on the occasion and join blogmas. As a first blogmas post, let’s share what Blogmas and vlogmas is, the good and bad side, but also how you too can take advantage of this. For content creators … Now the first question of course is, “ what the F is Vlogmas?”. This is a trend that started a couple of years back on YouTube where YouTubers started filming their daily lives from December 1st until Christmas as a sort of advent calendar for their community. Well, blogmas is the same concept but with blogging where, every day, bloggers share a new post with their community. … And small businesses Besides the content creators on Youtube or bloggers, companies have started joining the trend as well and use the holiday season in their communication plans. Whether it is with Christmas giveaways, or proposing a Christmas gift guide, the holiday season is the perfect inspiration to create your content. Basically, it’s about creating content to get your viewers' community in the holiday spirit. But not only. Let’s be business honest, what perhaps was once a naive way to connect and get their community all Christmas-y, holiday content has become a very profitable marketing action and that’s why you should consider holiday content for yourself as well whether you just started on the internet, have just launched your own business or consider a creating a personal brand. All is well, but why should you create holiday content? 1) First of all, getting people into the holiday mood means getting people in a good mood. If you get them in a good mood they are more likely to keep following you. As you create daily content your social media or platform presence increases daily, giving you the opportunity to attract a bigger audience. 2) You can present yourself, your business, and your product or service repeatedly. Remember, your audience needs to hear a message at least 7 times before considering buying. By daily posting in a context that daily posting is totally recommended and not seen as too salesy, you shorten the time between those 7 messages and increase the chances to buy quicker. 3) Also, needless to say, the holiday season is generally the best season for any company, thank you Santa. Although the holiday season has started, it is not too late to add a little Christmas jingle to your content strategy as well! But just like everything, it needs to be planned. How to participate in Vlogmas / blogmas/ or any other holiday content? 1. Decide what you want to share If you look up vlogmas, you will probably see random videos, sometimes with not much taught behind them, just the daily life. And this is what vlogmas is about. But, if you have a small business or trying to make a name for yourself, it gets a little bit trickier. In the beginning, phase, which is what this blog is all about, you should definitely think about what image or brand you which to create, and you should post things that are related to it. Take the time to brainstorm all the different topics or things you would like to share with your community, whether it is a 12 days giveaway, a video every day or just creating Holiday-themed interaction on your Instagram story. As holiday content happens daily, it is way harder to make changes last minute due to the lack of time, so brainstorming and planning upfront is a game-changer. Another major issue is the lack of inspiration. Luckily tomorrow I’m sharing more than 100 Blogmas post articles just for you and for different niches (see, it is all planned and connected). 2. Decide where you are going to share If you decide to organize a giveaway, the easiest might be to have it on Instagram, but if you want to make long videos from morning until your night routine, you should definitely consider YouTube where the big Vlogmas Sharks are. If you are a business coach, you could for example send a daily newsletter with one business tip or a resource a day. We know mailing is a goldmine and this could lead to a few more sales. A trend that is highly expected this year is daily content on Tiktok (Christok? Or maybe Tikmas?). It would be the first time that a vlogmas kinda concept would be on the app, and this is a huge opportunity to start now. According to what you wish to share, you can pick one main channel to share your content on. Again, make it relevant to your brand, image, and of course, to your audience and the one you wish to attract. 3. Make a plan A big con of vlogmas, blogmas, or any daily holiday season is the DAILY part. How to keep up with the tempo, especially when you are not used to daily content on top of your job, school, your children, or just life. Take a moment today to plan everything out. All the content you brainstorm try to put them on a calendar and see what day you will publish what type of content. It also helps you align this holiday content with the regular calendar of your business. For example, if you are planning to launch a new product, you could send out an early bird access email a few days before. But that only works if you have a global view over the entire month. 4. It's okay to sip a (few) days Daily content can (is!!!) quite exhausting. But remember, behind every brand, business, or YouTuber there is the entrepreneur. The entrepreneur is the one carrying the entire project, and the entrepreneur must be aligned with the business. So, if some days are getting a bit harder than others, just skip a day (or two). Your audience will understand it. With these few steps, you can surely start blogmas without (too much) pressure. Are u ready for the holiday craze? Too much info? Let’s recap it so you can pin the info if you need it later.
