Hello,I'm Oscar Joyo,A Chicago based visual artist and I create noisy images. My work also has elements of Afrofuturism and afrosurrealism through textiles, patterns, and subject matter. I use this as leverage to explore and discover more of my African indentity and be more in tune with that as well as combining other things I've been exposed to.
When I was around 15 or 16 years old, I started to get into making manipulations. I was on Google and I stumbled upon Rosie Hardy's images (they're amazing by the way) and I instantly wanted to do the same thing. So ever since then, I've been making these.

There are quite a lot of people who share their stories after they get out and their process of adjusting back to their regular lives. Obviously, all routines, day-to-day life, people and in general everything changing is not the easiest thing to bear, especially psychologically.
Amazing!
Did you know that you can say practically anything you want online? Unfortunately, some people do exactly that. Fortunately for us, they are pretty bad liars, so when we see through their obviously farcical stories, the results can be hilarious and cringeworthy. That’s exactly the type of cringe post that Totally True Story on Instagram collects.

From worrying about our physical appearance to choosing the right words to making certain shopping decisions, being concerned about how others perceive us fills every aspect of our ordinary, everyday lives. Even if we’re not aware of it. So no wonder, then, we get so insecure imagining all the things the employee who is ringing up our 10 frozen pizzas (totally for a party) is thinking about us.
Working for the same company for ten years must require patience and dedication, both of which, hopefully, should be acknowledged. And in some companies, they are; some employers make sure to let their long-term employees know that they are valued and appreciated, especially after hitting a mark as significant as a decade.

While most of us use Google Maps and GPS on a daily basis, it’s pretty rare to find real fans of cartography, the study and practice of making and using maps. If you were ever into geography or history as a kid, the chances are you’re not much of a map person.
In one way or another, every single one of us had our lives impacted by the relatively recent Covid-19 pandemic.
