If you like the price of the print I am offering, but you can not find the specific map in my store. Please contact me, because chances are I might have them. Disclaimer: Please noted that there will have additional white space around the actual print. For example, if you order a 16x20 size print, there will be approx. 1" to 2" additional space around the print. The additional white space is acting like a cushion during the shipping. The print will move violently up and down during the shipping and there is for sure the side of the print may bend or damage. With the additonal white space on 4 sides, it can prevent this problem. I understand this may cost you extra time to trim the print to fit in a poster frame. I rather you can receive a perfect print instead a damage one.Thank you very much for your order! Giclee fine art print reproduction from vintage map of the surface of the moon, titled Geologic Map of the Copernicus Quadrangle of the Moon , 1967. 11x14 or 12x15 or 16x20 or 20x24 or 24x30 or 30x38 or 40x50 paper size. ***1/4 inch white borders are used for prints 5 inches and larger unless requested otherwise -- this means the image will be set 1/4 inch within the exact paper size listed above. Smaller prints (3.5x5, 4x4, 4x5, 4x6) will be sent without borders unless requested otherwise. See the last paragraph of this description for more available border options.*** Printed with a professional Giclee printer on Somerset Velvet 100% cotton rag fine art paper with archival pigment inks. These are fine art prints, not cheap posters -- produced with the highest quality inks, thick matte paper, and Giclee (museum quality) printing method. The image scans used are high resolution and printed at full quality. Although custom requests are welcome, please note that the print sizes are listed to the largest possible size for each image. Processing time before shipment is 1-3 business days. Shipping is USPS First-Class with tracking, and orders over $35 in the United States ship free. Shipping upgrades available in cart. Prints may be shipped either flat or rolled, depending on size. Rolled prints are packaged around the outside of a tube and then bubble-wrapped and placed inside a long box -- this is because the thick fine art paper cannot be rolled tightly enough to go inside the tubes without causing damage to the paper. To flatten rolled prints, they can be laid out under a stack of heavy books. Please note that since these are vintage images, they do not always conform exactly to the standard paper sizes -- this means some images will have a slightly larger white border on two sides to allow the image to fit with no cropping (the paper size stays the same, but if an image is more narrow or short than the closest standard paper size, the borders will be slightly larger on two sides). If you would like a particular image size, no border, or a larger border (1/2 inch or 1 inch), please send a request and most adjustments can be accommodated at no extra charge. If you would like a 1 inch external border, that can be done for no extra charge and increases the paper size by 2 inches each way (for example, an 8x10 image with 1 inch external borders will be printed on 10x12 paper). Please note the external border (making the paper larger) is only available as 1 inch, while the internal border (making the image smaller) is available as 1/4, 1/2, or 1 inch.

Scott Reinhard combines contemporary land elevations with historic maps to create three-dimensional environments of a specific region, city, or state. To produce the digital maps, he pulls elevation data from the United States Geological Survey, which he then embeds with location information and merges with the original design of the old maps. Producing these hybrids allows the Brooklyn-based graphic designer to gain a better sense of the topography found in large areas without aerial photography, while also developing a story from the cartographic information. A beautifully restored map of Hawaii Island from 1901. This reproduction print was part of a series of maps done of the Hawaiian Islands by John M. Donn from data by a team headed by W.D. Alexander and Walter E. Wall. It was a color lithographed map with relief shown by contours, spot heights, and hachures.

Roads, rivers, and mountains on a map turn into elegant profiles and facial expressions.
Originally composed in 932 AH / 1525 CE and dedicated to Sultan Süleyman I ("The Magnificent"), this great work by Piri Reis (d. 962 AH / 1555 CE) on navigation was later revised and expanded. The present manuscript, made mostly in the late 11th AH / 17th CE century, is based on the later expanded version with some 240 exquisitely executed maps and portolan charts. They include a world map (fol.41a) with the outline of the Americas, as well as coastlines (bays, capes, peninsulas), islands, mountains and cities of the Mediterranean basin and the Black Sea. The work starts with the description of the coastline of Anatolia and the islands of the Aegean Sea, the Peloponnese peninsula and eastern and western coasts of the Adriatic Sea. It then proceeds to describe the western shores of Italy, southern France, Spain, North Africa, Palestine, Israel, Lebanon, Syria, western Anatolia, various islands north of Crete, Sea of Marmara, Bosporus and the Black Sea. It ends with a map of the shores of the the Caspian Sea (fol.374a). See this manuscript page by page at the Walters Art Museum website: art.thewalters.org/viewwoa.aspx?id=19195

Hand-signed PRINT of my original portrait, Sinead O'Connor, created on a vintage map of Ireland. This amazing and spirited talent is one of the most recognizable faces of Ireland. This is piece is inspired by a series called World Tour - in which I used pages from an old atlas as canvases - painting images relating to the place on each map. This archival print is beautifully recreated at a reduced image size, 11" by 17" , which sits on 13" by 19" piece of paper. I use high quality Epson Velvet fine art paper. Please inquire about the original 29" by 19" drawing. For multiple orders of 11" by 14"or larger, your orders will be carefully packaged and shipped in a flat box with protective bubble wrap reinforcement. More sizes are available, please message me for prices. ** all designs, drawings, listing content ©2022 Daniel Baxter all rights reserved**
