There are so many lifestyle cookbooks these days. French Laundry, Bouchon and Flour+Water...beautiful to peruse...but would I ever making anything from it? Probably not. Too time consuming. Too mason jar-reclaimed-wood-this-is-actually-really-expensive chic for me. I like things a bit more

Eastman Kodak Company, commonly known as Kodak, is an American technology company that concentrates on imaging products, with its historic basis on photography. The company is headquartered in Rochester, New York, United States and incorporated in New Jersey. It was founded by George Eastman in 1888. With the slogan "you press the button, we do the rest," George Eastman put the first simple camera into the hands of a world of consumers in 1888. In so doing, he made a cumbersome and complicated process easy to use and accessible to nearly everyone. During most of the 20th century Kodak held a dominant position in photographic film. Here are some interesting catalog Kodak covers of its photography books that were published in the early 20th century. 1895 1903 1907 1908 1910 1911 1912 1913 1914 1915 1916 1917 1918 1919 1921 1922 1924 1925 1928 1929 1930 1933 1934 1935 1937 1938 1939 1940 1950 1952 1956
In my mind, there’s nothing more stylish than a woman dressed in “men's” clothes. Pants, ties, tweed blazers, brimmed hats, leather boots... It seems crazy now to think that pants didn’t become a mainstay (or even a component) in a woman’s wardrobe until the late 19th century. Women also pillaged their husbands closet for pants when they entered the workforce while “the men were away” during World War II. It wasn’t really until the 1970s that pants were thought to be “fashionable” though *(there are definitely early style icons such as Katharine Hepburn, Coco Chanel, and Marlene Dietrich who rocked menswear in the 1930s). A couple of my favorite websites that focus on women rocking ”menswear” and the tomboy look are Wearing The Pants and Tomboy Style. Both are a great source of inspiration if you’ve been wanting to infuse your wardrobe with some boyish flair. Wearing The Pants is a Tumblr that boasts over a year’s worth of archived photos to gobble up and Tomboy Style is a blog run by the lovely Lizzie Garrett (author of the popular new book by the same name!) featuring short interviews with creative women, vintage photos of stylish tomboys with links to clothing so you can “get that look,” and just basically everything your little tomboy-heart desires from a style-site. I like how Lizzie Garrett describes the tomboy look on her site: “To define a tomboy requires far beyond the simple notion of wearing boys’ clothing. Tomboys have influenced the expanses of popular culture including fashion, film, music and literature. And although the tomboy is often identified by clothing, what makes her wholly so is an inherent sense of confidence, rebelliousness, and adventure.” Well put Lizzie. I’ve also started a Pinterest board titled “Keep it Classic” with over a hundred pins of my favorite vintage-y menswear looks. Below are some of my favorite images from these three links. The colors of the seventies were pretty drab in comparison to those of the psychedelic sixties. The country was recovering from the turmoil of the Vietnam War, and the desire for peace and calm was reflected in the dark wood and warm earth tones of the period.Avocado Green and Harvest Gold were important colors (especially in appliances), and were frequently mixed with toned-down versions of sixties orange.

A la fois élégant et puissant ce projet reflète parfaitement le style que Bernard Villemot donnera par la suite sur l'ensemble de ses affiches. Il existe très peu de projets de ce format là provenant de cet artiste.
