This underrated and low-maintenance plant thrives in the prairies, due to its drought resistance and cool weather tolerance. This happy bloomer is so easy to grow. Grows very quickly. Deadheading or cutting flower stems off encourages the plants to become more bushy and put out more blooms. Plants grow up to 4 feet tall and produce masses of vibrant flowers that are golden yellow with maroon centers. Great for pollinators, especially native pollinators such as mason bees. Long-tongued bees, short-tongued bees, wasps, flies, butterflies, and beetles are known to enjoy this plant. Makes a really pretty cut flower with long vase life. Stems are long and sturdy.
