Welcome to my Junkgle. It gets better here every day! Good spot! This old creature is vactioning in the Junkgle, waiting to get called in to service. It is a remanufactured replacement part 9-121-01 by Zenith. A video output CRT SCKT. It still travels with its box and some brief instructions. It is unbroken and appears to be in unused condition. Thanks for taking a stroll through JustinsJunkgle! Come back often- it is a diverse and ever evolving habitat full of unique characters. You never know what you'll see here! This item, like most of the items i have for sale, besides my original creations, came to me as rescues. I do not know their history, but i try to get to know them well before I find them a home. I give them cleanings when necessary and i'm able, but there may be more to touch up depending on the item and/ or your taste. I try to represent all my items honestly and thoroughly in the photos and descriptions, Please look closely at the photos and consider them an integral part of the description- (i can only type so much:) That said, there may be some personality traits that i didn't mention or observe, or was unaware of, so if you have any questions please ask. If any item you see or receive is not as described, within reason, I assure you it was not intentional. Please contact me and i will do whatever is necessary to make the situation right. I want to spread happiness and harmony, not confusion and chaos.

A trip to the romantic Italian hilltop towns is not just about the amazing wine. Not that wine isn’t a fabulous reason for visiting beautiful Tuscany and neighbouring Umbria, but there is far more to see. Below you will find our top 10 Italian hilltop towns that we would love to call home for a month, or possibly forever. We chose to visit by bicycle. For those not keen on cycling the hilltops of Italy our best suggestion is a rental car. See our complete guide of most beautiful places to stay in Tuscany here. 10 Unbelievable Italian Hilltop Towns This post includes some affiliate links. If you make a qualifying purchase through one of these links, I will receive a small percentage of the sale at no extra cost to you. Thank you very much for your support. 1) Civita di Bagnoregio Straight out of a fairy tale book, Civita sits on its volcanic tuft of rock where the Etruscans founded the town more than 2500 years ago. Known as the dying village as earthquakes and erosion caused the edges to give way, the population declined to just 6 residents. Recently a resurgence of tourism is bringing Civita back to life. It is also where Dave and I parted ways on our bikes and he got lost. True story to be found here. Check prices to stay near magical Civitia di Bagnoregio 2) Cortona When Frances Mayes wrote Under The Tuscan Sun, little did she realize that her description of the paradise of Cortona would make it so popular she would feel the need to escape. Retaining much of its 3000-year-old history behind Etruscan walls, Cortona is filled with jaw-dropping views, medieval architecture and many quaint shops and restaurants. Yes, we hiked up here to get this view for you. Click for best prices to stay Under the Tuscan Sun in Cortona. 3) Montepulciano Known around the world for the wine produced in the area, Montepulciano towers over the rolling hills sitting atop a 2000 foot limestone ridge. The walls of the city date to the 14th century however recent findings show the town existed in the 4th century BC. The car-free streets allow blissful meandering among shops and wine tasting venues. One of my personal favourites of the Italian hilltop towns. Check latest prices for our favorite spot in Montepulciano – Villa Cicolina 4) San Casciano This quiet Tuscan village sitting atop a hill (how unusual in Italy I know) is just south of Florence. With local shops and a few good restaurants, this can be a quiet location from which to base your travels in Tuscany. A rental car would be required. One of Tuscany’s small but not to be missed towns. Check latest prices in peaceful San Casciano Steep streets in San Casciano 5) Montefollonico Happening upon a wedding in this isolated medieval Italian hamlet, the happy guests in Montefollonico paid the onlookers no attention. I love attempting to learn some of the local language and so with my phrasebook managed to give best wishes to the newlyweds or possibly that it was about to rain. My heart was in the right place. With walls of 13th century fired brick surrounding the little Italian hilltop town, the views left me astounded. Not to mention firmly planted. Who would want to ever leave? Compare prices for accommodations in Montefollonico 6) Sorano Often referred to as the City of Tufa for it’s perching placement on its volcanic tufa stone, Sorano retains much of the activity of centuries ago. Surrounded by vineyards, fields of wheat, grazing sheep and olive groves this town with carved caves in the porous rock transports you back in time. We loved staying in this castle! Find the best prices for Hotel Della Fortezza in Sorano. Who doesn’t want to stay in a castle? 7) Bagno Vignoni The thermal waters of Bagno Vignoni have been utilized since Roman times. Arriving at the end of a day in cycling I was prepared to jump in, bike and all. Pilgrims of ancient times who [easyazon_link identifier=”163121179X” locale=”US” tag=”traveltalesof-20″]traveled to Rome[/easyazon_link] discovered the spa-like setting. Since the 16th century, the town square has contained a rectangular tank capturing the original water source from the underground aquifer. Italian thermal spa anyone? Click to see prices for hotels in Bagno Vignoni. 8) Montalcino With 1400 residents but over 220 wineries in the area you might guess what Montalcino is famous for. Surrounded by gorgeous countryside with ancient villages and churches, the most famous landmark is the Abbey of S. Antimo built by Charlemagne. Compare prices of rooms in Montalcino. 9) Orvieto Sitting on a cliff, the city of Orvieto presents one of the most dramatic postcard like images of Italian hilltop towns. At the end of a cycling day, it gave me a picture of potential cardiac arrest. Orvieto was a major center of the Etruscan civilization and is a thriving city today. One of it’s most famous sites is the Cathedral of Orvieto. All right it’s not a town but so beautiful we had to mention it. 10) Monticchiello Perhaps the most overlooked gem in all of Tuscany, the downhill ride into Monticchiello is a must-do for cyclists. The curving cypress-lined route fills magazines and brochures of the image of taking to Tuscany on a bicycle. With just over 200 inhabitants and a virtual unknown to tourists, the quiet charm of the village may be one of the best finds in Italy. Where the Tuscan hills toll on forever. Book this Tuscan paradise in Monticchiello. Now we pass to you a magic Italian wand. Time to start planning your trip. Which town will you begin your Italian hilltop dream trip?

Labadee—Royal Caribbean’s private destination on the northern coast of Haiti—is a slice of paradise with something for everyone, from families with kids looking for adventure to a group of friends, to couples after a little romance. Whether you’re looking for a jolt of adrenaline on the world’s longest overwater zip line or a spot to cozy up on the white sand beach to relax and kick back, there are plenty of reasons why Labadee is a top Caribbean cruise destination. Imagine sunbathing at a tucked-away beach called Columbus Cove, walking with a guide as you learn of Haiti’s history or snorkeling with wildlife in turquoise waters. You can only get to Labadee by ship—consider Wonder of the Seas, decked out with activities for all ages (waterslides and your choice of 40-plus restaurants, lounges and bars, anyone?)—and what awaits is an idyllic getaway. With so many ways to play, here’s how to maximize your day in Labadee: The ultimate rush on the island is the Dragon’s Breath Flight Line, the longest zip line over water. Credit: Royal Caribbean If you’re an adventure junkie … Dragon’s Breath and Fire Flight Line Time it takes: 1.5 hours Recommendation: Come with fitted clothing and courage. Enjoy breathtaking views as you fly down feet first on Dragon’s Breath Flight Line, the world’s longest zip line over water—more than 2,600 feet long—at high speeds. Or soar headfirst (Superman style) from on the Dragon’s Fire Flight Line. Either way, you’ll end your thrilling ride at Dragon’s Breath Rock, a unique rock formation where air and water forced through the cracks in its surface make a dragon-like “hissing” sound. Make sure to open your eyes because you’ll have the best seat in the house on the way down. Speedboat and Snorkel Time it takes: 1.5 hours Recommendation: Bring a camera. Take an exciting speedboat ride to one of Haiti’s beautiful reefs. On the way, you can catch a glimpse of local villages and picturesque Acul Bay. Once you arrive, you’ll receive equipment and instruction so you’ll be ready to discover marine life—keep an eye out for sea urchins, sand dollars and colorful fish. Dragon’s Tail Coaster Time it takes: It’s up to you. Recommendation: Sit in front for the best view! Hop in, buckle up and make your way down the side of the mountain on this alpine coaster. Built for thrill-seekers of many ages—kids especially love it—the coaster zooms at around 30 miles per hour, taking 360-degree twists and turns. Before you set off, make sure to take in the breathtaking view from 680 feet. Then get ready to dip, wind and weave your way from Santa Maria’s lookout mountain to the beach below. Arawak Aqua Park Time it takes: 1 hour Recommendation: Fuel up before diving in. Arawak Aqua Park is a water course made up of the “icebergs” of the Caribbean. Take on giant floating trampolines, waterslides, a rolling log and a lot of other fun. Taking a beach day to the next level, the young and young at heart will enjoy this dose of adventure as they jump from one obstacle to the next. Even better, the beach is in sight, so adults can relax with a tropical drink in hand and cheer on the kids. Malfini is a serene beach spot to take in the beauty of the destination. Credit: Royal Caribbean If you’re a beach bum … Nellie’s Beach Time it takes: It’s up to you. Recommendation: Bring a book. Nellie’s Beach is the perfect place to chill out and enjoy the coastal scenery. You can take a leisurely kayak trip along the shoreline, rent floating mats or sit back on the complimentary beach loungers. If you’re looking to splurge, an overwater cabana nestled on the hillside offers you your very own cabana attendant and furnishings like lounge chairs, floating mats and food. Pro tip: There are several other beaches on Labadee within walking distance, including Colombus Cove and Adrenaline Beach, where you can sign up for the Dragon’s Tail Coaster! Castaway at Malfini Time it takes: 3 hours Recommendation: Order a Malfini punch. Escape to a hidden getaway to enjoy a day of uninterrupted relaxation. A catamaran takes you to a remote, pristine cove covered by lush vegetation, where you can kayak near coral reefs, swim in crystal clear waters looking for tropical fish and lounge in the soft sand. The only sign of civilization in this tranquil paradise is the Canoe Bar, where you can take a sip of the Malfini punch, a rum cocktail served in a coconut. Sandbar Island Getaway Time it takes: 2.5 hours Recommendation: Bring a bottle of water. Take a catamaran through Haiti’s reef systems to a sandbar and experience the unique sensation of standing in the open waters of the Caribbean Sea. Listen to the local tunes as you swim, chill out and enjoy a Labadoozie, Labadee’s specialty frozen drink made of dark rum, coconut rum, orange juice, pineapple juice, papaya juice and cream of coconut. Take a walk back in time and visit some of Haiti’s most historic spots such as Citadelle Laferriere and Nellie’s Place. Credit: Royal Caribbean If you’re into culture … Labadee Historic Walking Tour Time it takes: 1 hour Recommendation: Come ready to ask questions. Haiti’s culture is all on its own. Take to the trails to learn more about the traditions, nature and folklore of this Caribbean country. A Haitian historian will tell the tales of several prominent events that impacted both the land and its people in the last 500 years. The experience includes stops at Dragon’s Breath Rock, where you can hear the famous effect of water and air pushing through rock; and the ruins of Nellie’s Place, a trading post allegedly named after an Englishwoman who established it for visiting ships long ago. Pro tip: In Haiti, dancing and music are full of emotion, history and cultural resonance. Experience a live performance of a traditional dance like yanvalou, meant to mimic the movement of a snake, or learn the popular jazz-based compas, similar to merengue, with a quick, driving tempo. Labadee Traditions Time it takes: 2 hours Recommendation: Bring pocket money in case you find a keepsake. Begin with a boat tour to get a feel for the landscape before diving into artifacts and practices that bring Haitian history to life. You’ll see a giant furnace (or an earth oven, a pit in the ground that traps heat) commissioned by Henri Christophe—a leader of the Haitian Revolution and later the country—which produced materials for the towering, 19th-century fortress Citadelle Laferriere as well as antique Haitian weaponry and furniture. Haitian Vodou (different from Louisiana Voodoo) shaped the history of the nation, too, so you’ll also explore the traditions of the religion. Pro tip: Want to bring a piece of Labadee home with you? Visit the marketplace where local artisans sell handmade crafts and other goods that will remind you of this destination and the people for years to come. Ready to learn more about Labadee, Haiti, and the other Caribbean islands you can visit on a Royal Caribbean cruise? Explore the private destination and more here.
