*Please note: This is a digital download and not a physical item** This is a pattern for the Fairy Queen coat. This stunning coat features a vintage pineapple pattern. There are multiple customization options for this pattern, including 4 sleeve options and 2 hood options. In my inspiration for this coat, I have always imagined the pineapple pattern looking like peacock feathers! The sleeves have a fabulous bell shape, also tipped with the pineapple-peacock feather pattern. This is a super fun, flouncy item to wear over dresses, or to the beach over a cute suit. So much twirling and fun! This digital pattern contains 16 full pages of photos, and written instructions to walk you though the entire creation process! It outlines three sizes, and the completed project ranges from 34"-48", with a stretch of 2-3". This pattern also contains a plethora of notes on how to adjust sizing and stitch count to accommodate sizes smaller and larger than the stated pattern. This also gives you the flexibility to use different weights of yarn for your project! This pattern is written in English, using American crochet terms. Materials: 1200-1800 yds of sport weight yarn H hook 3yds of lacing Optional 3/8" eyelets

From the artist statement: "I believe play is essential, both in life and in art. I also believe the political is personal. For me, art is more about questions than answers. B-4-9-11 is a piece that started with simple childhood games mounted on one of my favorite, a carom board. I come from a family of hunters; I was a Peace Corps volunteer during the Vietnam era and had a brother who fought there; I joined in protests of the USA invasion of Iraq; the piece developed. Dominos, Monopoly, brass casings of ammunition in a chess pattern....and Bingo with the filled in spaces B-4-9-11 and the ones that follow signifying the years our country has been progressively at war....Bingo ends at 75.... this piece and its companion American Pi give no answers, but I hope they raise questions and lead, as play does, to exploration."
