In fast jedem Land Südmarikas hat es einen anderen Namen. Dulce de leche ist wahrscheinlich der gängigste, sowohl in Spanien, Uruguay, Argentinien als auch Bolvien und Mittelamerika wird er benutzt, auch auf portugiesisch heißt es doce de leite, ist also analog übersetzt und wird entsprechend in Brasilien und Portugal verwendet. Venezuela und Kolumbien bezeichnen es als arequipe und manjar ist die Bezeichnung in Ecuador und Peru. Es gibt noch weitere Namen, aber da ich selbst in Uruguay geboren bin, werde ich einfach den Namen verwenden, mit dem ich aufgewachsen bin und der weltweit am meisten benutzt wird: dulce de leche.
