This beautiful and most advanced development of the Constellation entered service in June 1957. The Starliner combined the fuselage and tail surfaces of the Super Constellation with a completely new wing.

The Lockheed Model 1249 was a turboprop-powered Super Constellation flown by the Navy as the R7V-2 and the Air Force as the C-121F. The aircraft tested turboprop engines, and only four were made.

(1954) (N86503) Very early TWA connie delivered in 1945 on the south ramp heading for Runway 4R. The aircraft above was originally the "Navajo Skychief" and became the "Star of California" in 1946.
