My mom used to buy potato sticks in a can every once in awhile to make a tuna salad dish...which I loved. Sounds strange I know...but it was really good! I remember sneaking the potato sticks out of the can to snack on before she made the salad:) Today though, I'm sharing a simple candy recipe that I like to make with them.( If I don't eat them all first!) Sometimes I make them with chocolate chips instead of the butterscotch. Both are delicious, but I do prefer the butterscotch. It's hard to resist this sweet and salty treat! Tumbleweeds (T of H) 1 c. butterscotch chips 1 c. creamy peanut butter 1 (9 oz). can potato sticks (6 cups) Melt the butterscotch chips and peanut butter, stir in the potato sticks and drop by tablespoons onto waxed paper until set.

Begin these one day ahead because the dried fruit needs to hydrate in the rum overnight. You may use orange juice in place of the rum if you prefer.
