“Become a better listener.” It was one of the goals I set for myself at the beginning of this year, but it’s one I think I’ll have a hard time checking off and calling “done.” Because, when it comes to listening well, there isn’t a point of arrival or mastery; instead, I’m learning it’s s

Find You Out by Rachel Kane The one person who can protect me is the one person who must never learn the truth. Cam: When the messages started, I thought they were empty threats, someone promising to reveal all my secrets online. This stalker seems to know more about me than anyone should. I can only hope they don't know my darkest secret, the one I’ve been running from my whole adult life. I need help, someone to protect me from all this. That’s when I found Alex. Gruff, jaded, he’s got secrets of his own. Why do I want to ask him about those secrets? Why do I find myself wanting to know more and more about him…even as I have to hide the truth from him? Alex: I didn’t want to take the case. My last client burned me so badly, I could never trust anyone again. Especially not Cam. Something tells me he’s holding something back, not telling me everything. Yet I can’t help getting closer to him. He’s a mystery I need to solve. But when his stalker reveals all, can I hold on to Cam…or will the truth tear us apart? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07H1XH863 Momma Says: 4 stars⭐⭐⭐⭐ Find You Out has a bit of everything. We get romance, steam, scandal, and suspense with some twists and turns, and secrets - loads of secrets. Cam has his fair share of those until someone starts sharing them online in some mysterious vendetta against him. Alex is brought in to save the day and of course, he and Cam are drawn to each other. The problem is Alex's fear of secrets is about equal to Cam's determination to keep them. The story does have a bit more angst than I normally prefer, but much of it surrounds the mystery of Cam's online stalker, so is certainly warranted. In fact, this one kept me guessing right up until the end. Even when we know who, there's still the how and why left to puzzle as things start to come together. Then there's the romance between Alex and Cam. These two frustrated me a bit with their push and pull, but even when I wanted to give them both a good shake, I still couldn't help but root for them. All in all, another engaging read from this author. Facebook Twitter Instagram Goodreads Google+ Tumblr
Five stories celebrating the power and beauty of lists.
Google just published a new research paper that delves into the details of how tablet owners use their devices. Using diaries, in-home interviews and contextual inquiry observations, the company's researchers observed how 33 U.S. tablet users interact with their devices. Some of the results are pretty straightforward (tablets are primarily used for personal purposes and to play games and check email), while others were a bit more surprising. Just as many participants used their tablets in their beds as on their couches, for example, and a surprisingly large number of tablet owners use their devices while cooking.
