the bird, the foxes and the cowboys
I love this picture and posted on my photo stream but i did not take it myself as i do not want to take credit for someone else work.
In a recent holiday in Costa Rica the hummingbirds were so tempting to photograph to the point of madness! Eventually with patience you get quite close and I love seeing the details of these little guys close up. Green-Crowned Brilliant Heliodoxa jacula Taken at Bosque De Paz www.bosquedepaz.com/index.htm
The puffin is adorable, with its rainbow beak and tuxedo tweedle dum body. It's not hard to see that the puffin is an admirable creature. Penguins mate for life, and the male and female work together to care for the young. They thoughtfully build separate chambers in the underground nest to use as a bathroom. They are tender, loyal and hygienic. How could you not love this little bird? Now you can make a puffin. I created this pattern because I love these feisty birds. It is 6-9 inches tall and 3-4 inches wide. Just big enough for a child to hold and love. Wool felt, or soft fleece is the ideal fabric choice. Any colour combination will work. It's up to the creator. You don't even have to make it in its true colours. Why not blue? It's so adorable and soft. This pattern is simple to make yet challenging. You will have no problem if you are comfortable working with small parts on a sewing machine. There is some hand sewing involved. The instructions are easy to understand and explain how to make this puffin one step at a time. You have permission to sell puffins made from this pattern by Memorylane patterns, but not the pattern. Happy September! Welcome to another challenge at Love to Scrap! Challenge Blog. For the next 2 weeks, we want to see projects with things that fly; insects, planes, fairies, animals, etc. Remember, we need to see stamping on your project, either rubber, clear or digital. We will have 2 sponsors for this challenge, so that means 2 winners. The Bugaboo winner will receive 7 images of choice. The Stamping Chef winner will receive 3 images of choice. For this challenge, I got to work with The Stamping Chef image Sophie Spitfire. With a name like that, you know she is a handful. I like the old vintage look of this stamp, reminds me of the pinup gals. As usually, I colored the image with my water and regular color pencils. Since she is a world traveler, the dp is an old vintage map from Tim Holtz Crowded Attic pad. Some metals gears, a metal word band and metal hardware were added for embellishments. There is also glossy accent on the goggles. I thought the word band message was perfect. Here's the inside. thanks for looking and reading :o) I would like to enter my card in the following challenges: 4 Crafty Chicks - #209 Something Old/Something New (image is new, paper and embellishments are old 7-2 years old) CCC Digi Creations - #8 Digi/Things with Wings Creative Knockouts - #52 Whimsical Wings (the airplane has wings) Natalie & Amy - #24 Things with Wings The Stamping Chef - #44 Anything Goes stamps used: The Stamping Chef - Sophie Spitfire paper used: Bazzill, Tim Holtz - Crowded Attic die-cuts used: MFT Designer Label Stax Set 2, MFT You Move Me Die embelliments: Tim Holtz - mini gears, word bands, SU hodgepodge hardware, Sew Easy brown floss, Organic cotton cord, glossy accent

A pair bond may form between a male and a female at any time of the year, and the pair will stay together for life.
