Construction of the Tyne Bridge, a Giclee print by Andrew Waller My name is Andrew Waller I live in a village between Morpeth and the coast. I have lived in Northumberland all my life and love beauty of the northeast countryside and the coast, but also the beauty of the industrial landscapes and it's friendly people. I rekindled my interest in painting when I turned 40 and have been painting ever since. I enjoy painting retro scenes of Tyneside and Northumberland. I like my paintings to tell a story. Thank you for your time and I hope you enjoy my collection. The 15 in x 11 in image is printed using Epson Ultrachrome K3 Pigment inks, on high colour contrast fine art paper. Please note: the watermark is shown for copyright purposes only and is not included on the supplied print. Supplied rolled in tissue in a sturdy tube for safe delivery.

Tyne & Wear Archives presents a series of images taken by the Newcastle-based photographers Turners Ltd. The firm had an excellent reputation and was regularly commissioned by local businesses to take photographs of their products and their premises. Turners also sometimes took aerial and street views on their own account and many of those images have survived, giving us a fascinating glimpse of life in the North East of England in the second half of the Twentieth Century.
