Inspired largely by the stylized designs of Eyvind Earle, ‘The Sleepy Sentry’ falls prey to the fey lullabies that fall over the castle. A haunting, viridian hue glows on the horizon and the fate of the kingdom becomes unknown… Inspired by the vivid imagery of Wilfred Owen's "The Unreturning", a thematic piece about the melancholy plight of lonely Sentry's watch. The artwork itself is centered 4 & 3/8” x 9” on a black background of 8” x 10” for framing purposes. This print is done on a smooth texture, cotton hot press paper, allowing for a more vivid color and detailed texture. I will personally prepare your art with quality, secure materials to ensure its safe shipping. Your print will arrive in a clear sleeve, mailed flat against a backing board, and wrapped in tissue paper, along with a print of the poem inspired and some small goodies as a reflection of my appreciation for taking interest in my work. If you’d like to order the piece with the artist's signature, please indicate your preference. The signature will be inked on the bottom right of the print. Otherwise, the piece will arrive unsigned, and I will instead include a card with my signature in your order. The video portraying the artwork features the original on canvas, not the print ordered. This artwork is a printed reproduction of my original acrylic painting. Each print is made to order from local businesses. Because of the varying brightness and color tones of screens, please be aware that there may be some minor differences between the final product and your screen. You may notice some variances in color between the paintings, but I take the greatest care and evaluate each of my products as they are locally scanned and printed. Items will be shipped within 7 business days, and you will receive an email when your purchase is shipped. Regarding COVID19, please be aware of and take into consideration the delays with shipping. All orders are sent in a Priority Mail envelope through USPS, attached with a tracking number for ease of mind.
