My kids weren't really interested in learning about cells until I said slime. Okay, it was a fairly cheap trick since I knew they loved slime. But I also knew that slime would be the perfect way to learn about cells. I can't say I've ever touched cytoplasm but it sounds very slime-like to me.
This blindfolded maze game teaches obedience to children. My kids loved playing this game, wanting to try completing the maze over and over again. Teaching through games speaks volumes to kids. In DBT, the RAIN technique helps clients deal with challenging situations by becoming aware of their thoughts, practicing acceptance of the present moment, being curious about their inner experiences, and showing themselves compassion. The RAIN DBT Skill Worksheet encourages clients to reflect on a distressing situation and go through each component of the “RAIN” acronym. For example, under “Recognize what is happening,” they’ll be asked to describe their thoughts, feelings, actions, and sensations. Answering this worksheet helps improve self-awareness and promote calmness as kids and teens explore self-compassion affirmations. We recommend completing this worksheet in a calm and distraction-free environment, such as a therapist’s office, library, or a quiet corner at home. This worksheet can be supplemented with our visually appealing RAIN Mindfulness Technique handout to support understanding of the RAIN skill. *This item is an instant digital download. A link to download your files will be emailed to you once payment is confirmed. Want more resources like this? Check out our full catalog of DBT worksheets and handouts. After King Solomon, the nation of Israel fell into a civil war and divided into the Northern Kingdom of Israel and the Southern Kingdom of Judah (where Jerusalem was located). Israel (the Northern Kingdom) fell to the Assyrians around 722 B.C. while Judah continued for more than 120 years. The prophets warned Judah, however, that judgment was coming for their sin. Jeremiah was one of those prophets. He spoke for God and told them they would be conquered by the Babylonians and would be in exile for 70 years. “Exile is coming,” He declared! This was not a message the people wanted to hear, but it was true and in 587 B.C. Jerusalem and the temple were finally destroyed by the Babylonians and most of the people were deported to Babylon. This Exile Is Coming! Jigsaw Puzzle will help kids understand the sorrow Jeremiah felt over the coming destruction of the city and temple He loved.

Did Jesus have to be physically present with someone to heal him or her? No. When He healed a royal official’s son in John 4:46-54, He was in Cana and the sick boy was in Capernaum, about 20 miles away. These lesson activity pages highlight this miracle, which proved Jesus had absolute power over sickness, even from a distance.
