This beautiful 2-sided print with text is from the book “Goble’s Fairy Tale Illustrations” illustrated by Warwick Goble and selected and edited by Jeff A. Menges. Measuring 8” x 11” (20cm x 27cm) it includes captions from "The Fairy Book: The Best Popular Fairy Stories Selected and Rendered Anew" by Dinah Mulock Craik in 1913. The images are signed in the plate. Warwick Goble (1862–1943) was an illustrator of children’s books, who specialised in Japanese and Indian themes. The son of a commercial traveller, he was educated at the Westminster School of Art, and specialised in chromolithographic printing. His work is delicate in its colouring, and masterful in its presentation of line and form. His beautiful and often haunting work arguably reached classical heights at times, and his fantastic contributions to fantasy, fairy, and Asian tales continue to bring these books to life for all those that read them to this day. This delightful vintage print will add charm to baby’s nursery or child’s room, and also makes a unique gift for loved ones. Our prints are shipped in protective plastic sleeves and in flat cardboard envelopes to ensure they arrive safely. We will ship ANY number of prints in one package - you pay one shipping fee only!
