Teaching parallelism does not have to be confusing or boring! Instead, this resource gives teachers 3 ways to make teaching parallelism engaging! 1. The Parallelism Game: Students use the playing cards to use examples of parallelism to work backward to create an original definition of parallelism. Each example comes from a well-known piece of literature. Cards are available in a .pdf and editable Google Slides 2. Parallelism Plus: Students use half of the cards to determine how repetition is different from parallelism or to develop a definition of anaphora. 3. Parallelism Printables: If time is of the essence, students can complete the same inquiry-based activities using a series of worksheets. To make everything as accessible as possible, I've included a .pdf and Google Slides. The Slides offer students an interactive digital option and make it easy for you to customize. (Since these are Google tools, TPT will create a folder in your Google Drive where you will find all parts of this resource.)
