Lesson Helps and Handouts for Primary 3 Lesson 8: The Church of Jesus Christ Has Prophets to Teach Us
My mom gave these adorable (and useful) little treat bags to her Primary class awhile back. We have loved watching the views and pins grow on this Primary Handouts Update, specifically these little Good Samaritan First Aid kits. My Mom wanted me to post the printables so everyone could easily print them out. She filled these adorable little bags with a few fun treats, and added a little note to each one. Which also went a long with the poem she included. I absolutely love how she puts so much thought into her lessons. I know the kids feel so special when they get these handouts! She gave this handout for Lesson 37-I'll serve Jesus Christ by serving others, but really this could be used for a variety of things and groups! Everyone could use some "aid" sometime in their lives! :) Like I mentioned before my mom taught this lesson to her primary class, if you're interested the specific lesson is Primary 3 Lesson 37: I'll Serve Jesus Christ by Serving Others you can find the lesson outline she followed on LDS.org HERE or in the book Primary3-CTR B. My Mom couldn't find a little candy watch so she made her own-she bought some little candy bracelets and added a clipart she found online for the watch head. She's so creative, I'm telling ya! If you are wanting candy watches you can find some HERE. All of these little treats help remind us of the little things we can do to help serve others. If you plan on using this lesson you could have each child in the class pull something out of one bag and read the attached note until you have read them all as a class. I plan on sharing more Primary printables so make sure to check back soon! :) Here's the inside scoop on where she found all these items: white bags-Dollar Tree in the wedding section or even these from Amazon candy bracelets-Zurchers or other party store or candy watches can be found HERE Kleenex-Dollar Tree Other Candy-Walmart twine-Jo-Ann (use 40% off coupon) If you'd like the free printable for everything you can find them all HERE! Jesus Christ Collaboration Portrait Poster – 2 options included plus bonus materials. These activities are intended to complement/supplement any lessons on Jesus. The final posters are great for Sunday School An auditorium A hallway Your classroom bulletin board These posters are the perfect way to start a unit or cap one off. They are an engaging and entertaining way for students to work together to create a large poster of Jesus. They make a great classroom focal point and a lasting example of collaboration for your students. There are two options so you can choose what works best for you and your students! Recommended for any grade or discipline as there are 2 poster options available - coloring (for lower grades) and drawing (for older students/art students). Plus, there are a variety of bonus resources included in this product for early finishers or as extensions. Resource Details Poster #1: Jesus Christ Collaboration Poster: Coloring ** GREAT FOR ANY AGE ** This lesson is very easy. Each student is given one section of a large mosaic poster to color according to the instructions on each sheet. Once all sheets are colored and cut out, they are then assembled to reveal a large mosaic/poster/mural of Jesus. You will need crayons, colored pencils, or markers in green, blue, pink, orange, red, and purple. Poster Details There are 30 pieces. Each piece fits on a regular 8.5" x 11" piece of paper. The final poster is approx. 35" x 42" depending on your printer settings. You will need markers, crayons, or colored pencils in green, blue, pink, orange, red, and purple. Poster #2: Jesus Christ Collaboration Poster: Drawing ** Ideal for middle school, high school students, and art students** This lesson is not hard but is more challenging than the coloring version in poster #1. In this lesson, each student will draw their own grid piece using a small version of their assigned gridcell as a reference. Once the pieces are drawn and cut out, the classroom poster can be assembled. This lesson engenders a lot of cooperation among students to get all of the drawings within the individual gridcells to line up well and produce a nice looking final poster of Jesus Christ. This is all about working together! BONUS Activities: Group collaboration posters are a lot of fun and leave a lasting impression. However, students don’t get to walk away with anything tangible to show their families. I have created a variety of handouts that individual students can work on when they are finished with their poster piece. This is also very useful for early finishers. The handouts are for a variety of levels, so you can find one that fits your grade level. Included are: Unscramble the portrait drawing. Unscramble the portrait cut and paste (with two grid variations). Jesus Christ coloring page. You may also like: "Stained Glass" Nativity Scene collaboration poster.
