Venezuelan artist Maria Guadarrama is the creator of a comic strip called "The Unspoken Truth." But these are not just funny pictures, there is true life philosophy hidden in them.
The Death of Sappho earrings, present on top side some detail of the impressive oil painting by Miguel Carbonell Selva. The earrings are completely handmade without any industrial process, the details we choose from the painting are the most emblematic. These lightweight earrings represent a story of Greek mythological sapphic art. "Sappho was a prolific poet, Sappho's poetry is still considered extraordinary and her works continue to influence other writers. Beyond her poetry, she is well known as a symbol of love and desire between women, with the English words sapphic and lesbian being derived from her own name and the name of her home island respectively". The back side of the earrings are hand paint with black colour. they are not afraid of humidity or a few drops of rain, but being made of wood it is advisable not to wear them when taking a shower or bath in the sea or in the pool. Furthermore, to preserve the brilliance of the hook, we recommend storing them in a container after use.
You’ll need some tissues on hand for this one.
"I see things very abstractly, so I think of myself as a painter who sees shape, value, edges and texture. I like to romanticize life. I love the interaction of people doing...'things' -- whatever it is. It could be the most mundane thing to any passer-by, but I find great beauty in that" - Ron Hicks

Henry Darger (1892-1973) drew bright, inventive cartoon-like versions of a cosmic heaven and hell. The subject matter of Darger’s writing and art reveals an obsession with childhood and an unsettling fixation on young girls and their tortuous ordeals at the hands of men. Darger’s work is not easy to understand, asking for no sympathetic eye and … Continue reading "Henry Darger’s Blengiglomenean Serpents And Vivian Girls"

A scene from Kingdom of Ash where Aelin and Rowan take a quiet moment during their cave treasure pilfering to exchange rings. This whole cave scene was one of my favorites of the book. A time for the group to breathe and collect themselves, and features one of the most heartbreaking hugs I've ever read. 😭💔 It was lovely to revisit this!
Wabi sabi - an appreciation of the simple pure beauty of things. It is about embracing the imperfect, the impermanent, unconventional and incomplete.

This is a folding fan with classic red rose design. The size of this piece makes it perfect to carry in your handbag and use anywhere when it's really hot! What can you do with a hand fan or when to use it? - When it's too hot outside: summer weddings, parties, events, tennis matches, etc. - To be a fashion queen! - To send secret messages!!! (For example: Fully open the hand fan = "Wait for me"; Move the hand fan around the cheek = "I love you") - As decorations to hang on a wall or display - To dance flamenco, olé! The hand fan is made of natural wood, lacquer several times with water-based lacquer (so the wood becomes nice to the touch) and white polyester fabric, which I decorate with a decoupage technique using paper napkins, fixed with lacquer. All the materials I use are water-based (odorless and eco-friendly) and I guarantee durability. Measurements: (width x height) Open: 17 x 9 inches (43 cm x 23 cm) Closed: 1.6 x 9 inches (4 cm x 23 cm)
