Is it a hat – or is it a snake that’s just eaten an elephant? This beautiful and delicate work of art isn’t what it seems at first glance – or at least, there are several interpretations to be made. This is a captivating piece by a Danish artist called Sissan Richardt, who was fascinated by what hides behind pretty facades – something we might all benefit from paying more attention to. The expressive typography (and doesn’t the written word look far more glamourous and sophisticated in French?) translates to read, ‘This is not a drawing of my hat. This is a drawing of an elephant after it has been eaten by a snake’, which brings a very different vibe to the casa, but creates a terrific talking point, we’re sure you’ll agree. The blue font pops out of the off-white background, giving this a simplistic, rustic feel that works perfectly against more minimalist, muted shades or bold blocks of darker colours. It’s a quirky, eclectic piece that piece that adds an elegant touch to your surroundings, and has timeless appeal. Stunning. - Mon Dessin Art Print - Unframed - Measures: H70cm x W50cm - Material: Digitally printed on 250gsm luxurious museum-quality paper- Please note this piece is unframed

A collection of 600 arcade video game marquees from 1980 to 2020. Marquees are the part of an arcade cabinet that displays the game's title, located above the monitor. Functioning in much the same way as a billboard — and often backlit to advertise the game — marquees were a chance for games to attract attention and players. Marquees were made from a variety of materials, depending on the age of the machine. Early games sported glass marquees. Plexiglass was introduced in 1987, and in the 1990s, cheaper plastic began to be utilized. Marquees often featured custom artwork and typography. This collection is a terrific resource for those interested in the history of video games, arcade game play, and design. Published by Mamama Softcover, 150 pages, full color, 5.25 × 7 inches
