So, YAY! We finally sold our house and moved! What a big job...and time zapper! Thankfully we were able to find a great rental (and by great I mean good neighborhood, clean, good size, etc.) close by until we are able to move closer to home (Vermont!) Of course, with all the moving I've had very little time to blog! However, I took a little time today and got a new product up on TeachersPayTeachers - an irregular verb foldable graphic organizer. It's more of a resource, than anything else, but I'm already seeing my students pull it out and use it - so that's what I consider SUCCESS!! Like my other FGOs, there are several choices to pick from to print, so it allows for easy differentiation! To buy this graphic organizer, head on over to my TeachersPayTeachers Store!
Students sit in groups. Students will take turn to roll the dice and move the counter. They will then spell and write the activities where their counter landed in the given form. Other group members will check the spelling by referring to the answer sheet. Each correct answer will be given 10 marks. Materials (TO DOWNLOAD : CLICK ON THE IMAGE, RIGHT CLICK & SAVE IMAGE AS) BOARD GAME (I MADE TWO VERSIONS, CHOOSE THE ONE TO YOUR LIKING, OR YOU CAN DOWNLOAD AND USE BOTH) WRITING FORM ANSWER SHEET DICE TEMPLATE, IN CASE YOU WANT TO MAKE YOUR OWN DICE *FOR THE COUNTERS, I USUALLY USE SMALL RUBBERS OR CRUMPLED PAPERS Updated* Photos of the activity done in my class Would really appreciate if you could 1. Print this out 2.Take your pictures/videos with I love teacherfiera.com and the materials taken from this blog in your classroom, English room, etc 3. Email your pictures/videos to [email protected] or share them in teacherfiera.com telegram group We'll feature you on teacherfiera.com. Thank you so much.

Here's a template for all your hangman playing needs! Of course, you don't need a template at all. My kids and I have played hangman on various bits of scrap paper found in my purse, including receipts! But having a template is fun too and helps when playing with younger kids. The version above includes the outline of the hanged dude and outlines for letter blanks. These make it easy for kids to trace. The version below has no outlines which allows players to make longer words, phrases, or even more complex hanged dudes! Hangman really is a game of unlimited fun! If you need directions on how to play Hangman, About.com has thorough instructions. Just click on the Hangman templates, and you can download them from GoogleDrive. After downloading, feel free to print them as many times as you like!
This great activity on Cold War leaders has your students creating Pop Up figures in their notebooks to better understand important figures of the Cold War era. The resource includes an engaging PowerPoint presentation (& Google Slides version), 2 graphic organizer options, lesson plan, and the pop-up figure cut-outs. Included are pop up cut-outs of: Joseph Stalin Winston Churchill Mao Zedong Harry Truman Fidel Castro Indira Gandhi Margaret Thatcher Mikhail Gorbachev Ronald Reagan Additionally, there are 4 "bonus" pop-up figures for: Dwight D. Eisenhower, Nikita Khrushchev, John F. Kennedy, & Lyndon Johnson. There are 2 graphic organizer options, both featuring a world map to help students connect each leader with where they were from. One includes fill-in-the-blank guided notes and the other includes just boxes for the notes. Both are perfectly aligned with the PowerPoint. The cut-outs are a great way to help students keep focused as your discuss the contributions of each Cold War leader. I have found this hands-on strategy to be an incredible tool to help students remain engaged throughout the lesson! The lesson plan gives suggested videos to pair with the activity along with tips on how to best use the activity in your Cold War unit. You can also download this lesson as part of my Cold War Unit Bundle. More Pop Up Figure Notes resources can be found here! Thanks so much for checking it out!
