Print of original watercolor painting of blue and white teacups, all antique china patterns in cobalt blue, some with gilt accents. Makes a great piece of kitchen or dining room art. Add this darling teacup collage to your Blue and White collection! Inspired by Royal Copenhagen porcelain, Carolyne Roehm design, tulips and tulipiere vases, Valentino's Delft collection, and Blue and White Chinoiserie.
This is absolutely a stunning cup, made of top quality Dehua kaolin, or jade porcelain as it is known in China. Because such porcelain feels like jade and even higher density than jade. But as the use of time becomes longer, it will also show a jade-like luster and oily. Although it has no glaze it's easy to clean and you can also be cleaned with a dishwasher if you like. Its surface decoration is also unique, is a special process. You can feel the concave and convex patterns, especially the use of gold makes it elegant. Such patterns are rich in Chinese style, but they are out of modernity. It is suitable for tea or coffee. It's a thoughtful design to attach an inner tank to the kit, which you can easily use to make tea, and the lid can be used as an inner tank saucer. Which is really thoughtful design. Of course, if you want a cup of coffee during lunchtime, this cup can also make you high-profile.

How to drill china such as teacups and saucers to make lamps, dessert plates and more. You will need a diamond bit, a good drill and some patience.
I love all my china pieces but sometimes I end up with a milk jug with no matching sugar bowl, or vice versa, and some of my selected vintage teacups just whisper to me that they would be perfect as a pretty candle. This listing is for either 2, 4 or 6 vintage container candles. We will choose a surprise for you, or you can specify a scent or colour that you would like. I offer three natural scents and colours, and choose the one which I think complements the china best 😉 All my candles are made with my own blend of natural, environment-friendly waxes, 100% cotton wicks, and natural colours and scents. What’s more, once you have enjoyed your candle, since the wax blend is non-toxic and natural, the jug or cup can be carefully cleaned in your washing up bowl and restored to its original use, or repurposed 😊 My vintage china container candles come carefully wrapped and tagged ready to give to the lucky recipient, or to enjoy yourself. If you are looking for a set of teacup candles table settings or gifts, do contact me for a multi-item shipping quote if you are out of my free shipping zone.
A cup or a glass, usually things that hold liquids are very specific and follow a certain need but not necessarily. We will see in the next few minutes

My new favorite Southern wedding detail is incorporating vintage china into your Lowcountry wedding decor. I just love the look of mismatched vintage plates and tableware at weddings. It's so charming, whimsical- and elegant and perfect for our gals marrying in Hilton Head, Myrtle Beach or Charlesto

"We all have our own life to pursue, our own kind of dream to be weaving. And we all have some power to make wishes come true, as long as we keep believing." ~Louisa May Alcott Sometimes when I dream I remember things I never knew. It's a power that only appears in those few moments before your mind is truly asleep and all its little corners are brightening. I see things that I couldn't hope to imagine during the day and I feel a little enchanted by what can only be a lost sense not realized when I'm awake. A few sentences from a book, an image from a film, an experience during the day, a thousand memories I'd thought long forgotten, images I conjured in my mind that disappeared half-formed - they all reappear in tantalizing color when I dream. Sometimes they are frightening. Childhood memories of shadows under my parents bed or nightmare things that skulk around the edges when I'm not sure I'm awake or asleep. Sometimes they are beyond beautiful - a sprawling estate with haunted windows and imperious tenants, cathedral cities where the light is orange and heavy, fairytale palaces peopled by otherworldly royalty, and always I find myself in the center looking on or playing my part. Sometimes I write things down and look at them months later astounded by the detail and wishing I had written more. Sometimes my night time dreams feed those of the day and I am inspired to create something. Sometimes these dreams are so absorbing I find myself staring into space and have to be recalled back to the present! Like right now! How lovely are dreams and the things that inspire them. I found this beautiful blog the other day and wanted to share some of the dreamy and ethereal photos displayed there. It is called We are the dreamers of dreams and seems to celebrate everything that is fanciful, whimsical, nostalgic, timeless, and utterly deserving of a moment's quiet reverie. The photos are collected from many different places and the sources can be found when clicking on them individually - I have also included a very old fairytale drawing of mine at the end of the photos. Enjoy and remember to dream everyday and to everyday live your dreams! Drawing by Jennelise
A few months ago I stumbled onto Terri Gordon's blog and fell in love with her Tea Cup Tuesday posts. It is a weekly post hosted by Terri (different from the one mentioned above) and Martha. I believe the origin of the posts is Artful Affirmations and if not then it is a blog worthy of your perusal, such lovely things. At the time I only owned one tea cup - given to my husband and me by a friend of ours before she moved away - so i didn 't fell right joining when it would only be one time. Last week in my Marie Antoinette Mail Art group a wonderful swap came up, tea cups! Of course I joined and then went searching the web to see where the best places to buy were. I found this tea cup on etsy and couldn't help myself, I had to have it. I know nothing about the value of a tea cup and very little about manufacturers. What I do know is that I love the shape and the colors of this one and that is what is important to me. After all beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Quite a bit of the gold is rubbed off and the only thing stamped on the bottom is "manufactured in Germany" which is very hard to make out. But like I said, I love it and am planning on using it instead of letting it collect dust. Now my only delima is Darjeeling or earl grey :) Thanks for the wonderful weekly bit o tea, looking forward to participating again. I'm hoping that this is the start of a beautiful addiction. I'm off to check out some of the other wonderful tea cups.

Hello All! Welcome to my short and sweet Tea Cup post for today. I am "under the weather" today, and so popped up just for a moment to say "hello". Perfect for an afternoon tea. ....with beautiful gold filigree details, my favorite kind! That was the "Short"....now... ...here is the "Sweet" part of my post! This was a delicious tea I had at my favorite tea shop in Glastonbury England. And yes, it was really really good, and I wish I had some right now : ) Thank you for stopping by! Hugs, Terri
