Een Shopper kun je niet alleen naaien van stof. Denk ook eens aan minder voor de hand liggende materialen, zoals bijvoorbeeld je oude (spijker)broek! Ik vind het altijd een erg leuke uitdaging om een oude jeans te gebruiken voor een of twee Shoppers. Elke Jeans is anders en elke Tas dus ook! En extra leuk dat de originele zakken er nog op zitten. Hoe je je oude jeans netjes uit elkaar haalt kon je laatst al lezen op ByMiekK Blog. Hier zie je wat tips en inspiratie om die stukken jeans om te toveren tot een Shopper. Tips & Inspiratie Wil je een Tas maken van een oude spijkerbroek, dan kun je natuurlijk gewoon de pijpen eraf knippen, de onderkant dichtnaaien en er hengsels aan maken. Snel klaar! Maar op die manier vind ik persoonlijk de Tas niet zo mooi ;-) Ik haal de Jeans liever uit elkaar zoals op de foto hieronder, waarna ik uit één broekspijp een voor- en een achterpand voor de Shopper kan knippen. Het voorpand van de bovenkant van de lap (zie foto) en het achterpand van de onderkant. Let erop dat je aan de bovenkant van de broek zo weinig mogelijk stof wegknipt i.v.m. metalen pinnen die meestal bij de zakken zitten. Die zitten soms in de weg bij het afwerken van de Tas! Als je een voor- en een achterpand hebt geknipt, maak je de rest van de Tas eigenlijk net zoals in het Shopper BasisPatroon beschreven staat. Bij het knippen van het voorpand en het achterpand uit de broekspijp, zijn de maten van de stof zoals die in het Patroon beschreven staan eigenlijk altijd afwijkend. Geen probleem! Kijk welke maten je uit de broekspijp kunt krijgen en pas alle maten daarop aan. De Tas zal waarschijnlijk wat kleiner worden, maar nog steeds groot genoeg voor een fijne Tas. Met knipresten van je spijkerbroek kun je nog wat leuke versiersels maken voor op je Tas, zoals ik hier bloemen op stikte. Om de stoere Tas toch iets liever te maken ;-) De hengsels van de Tas kun je maken uit de originele tailleband van de broek. Je tornt hem helemaal los, naait de lange kant weer op elkaar, knipt hem in tweeën en je hebt twee hengsels! Zelf hengsels maken van andere stof kan ook, zoals beschreven staat in het Shopper BasisPatroon. Mogelijkheden genoeg met je oude Jeans! Laat je fantasie de vrije loop en maak een unieke Shopper :-) _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Deze week is het Tote Bag Week bij Sew Natural!
