Dremeling, putty, etc may be needed to ensure a proper fit. I use a method that utilizes hot glue. Use petroleum jelly on the neck peg. Fill the head hole with enough glue to push the peg into the head and some of the glue to squeeze around the neck ball. As it dries, continue to move the neck peg so it will not bind in the hole. MODEL / REFERENTIE: IWC Porsche Design Compass horloge, Ref. 3510. WIJZERPLAAT + WIJZERS: De originele matzwarte wijzerplaat is aantrekkelijk en zeer goed bewaard gebleven zonder zichtbare vlekken of gebreken om op te merken. De bedrukking op de wijzerplaat is nog steeds zeer scherp en compleet, van het witte lichtgevende dradenkruis in het midden voor verbeterde leesbaarheid, tot de namen en logo's van beide merken, tot de minutenmarkeringen. De rechthoekige uurmarkeringen rond de witte minuten-opgedrukte schaal zijn prachtig verouderd en hebben een warme custardpatina ontwikkeld omdat het Tritium intact lijkt te zijn. De witte batonwijzers en de neonoranje centrale secondewijzer zijn lichtgevend en origineel. Het Tritium heeft een bijpassende warme patina ontwikkeld bij de uurindexen. KRISTAL: Het horloge heeft krasbestendig saffierglas met een anti-reflectiebehandeling. UURWERK: automatisch opwindbaar, 21 juwelen IWC kaliber 375. Gebaseerd op een ETA 2892, met een rechte lijn echappement en een gangreserve van 42 uur, die goed op tijd loopt. Het uurwerk heeft een hacking secondenfunctie voor nauwkeurige tijdinstelling. Bovendien zijn alle magnetische componenten vervangen door niet-magnetische componenten zoals de rotorlagers om te voorkomen dat de nauwkeurigheid van het kompas wordt verstoord. KAST: Met een diameter van 39 mm en een hoogte van 12 mm is de scharnierende dubbeldekkerkast opmerkelijk compact met vier lichaamsdelen, kapvormige nokken en een schuine lunette. Dit is een speciale geharde aluminiumlegeringkast met een zwarte PVD-coating erop. De kast is vervolgens ultralicht en niet-magnetisch, zodat het kompas kan werken. De kast is in nieuwstaat, met de matte zwarte PVD-coating intact. De achterkant van de kast en de onderkant van de kast (kroonzijde) vertonen lichte haarlijntjes, waarschijnlijk als gevolg van opslag of verzending. Raadpleeg de foto's. De scharnierende kast zorgt ervoor dat het bovenste gedeelte opengeklapt kan worden door op de knoppen aan de zijkant van de onderste nokken te drukken. Binnenin zijn een kompas en een noodbakenspiegel te zien. Ze zijn beide in uitstekende staat en werken feilloos. KROON: De originele PVD-gecoate kroon is in nieuwstaat en correct voor het horloge, ondanks dat hij niet is gesigneerd. ARMBAND: Het horloge wordt geleverd met een volledig gekoppelde originele aluminium armband en de gepatenteerde schuifsluiting van IWC. De armband is over het algemeen in goede staat met minimale slijtage en haarlijnkrasjes op de bewaarde PVD-coating. De armband is zeer comfortabel om te dragen en draagt bij aan het vederlichte gevoel van het horloge. ACCESSOIRES: IWC-servicetas Het kompashorloge wordt als uniek beschouwd en was zowel een ontwerptriomf als een technische prestatie door twee precisie-instrumenten in één polshorloge te combineren. Vintage Swank gold tone square cufflinks and tie tack featuring the silhouette of an airplane. The cufflinks measure approximately 13/16" long and 13/16" wide. The tie tack measures approximately 5/8" long and 5/8" wide with a 1 1/2" long chain. Signed on the back of both, "Swank". Circa 1960/1970's. This set is in very good vintage condition with minor signs of wear on the finish.
