If you haven’t jumped on the ‘feeding mouths’ bandwagon, these motivating and meaningful mouths for the Phonological Process of Stopping is a great way to start! Each animal is associated with a sound (e.g. ‘j’ for jellyfish and ‘d’ for ‘dog’) and these are what you use as the reinforcement for minimal pairs therapy: you have to feed the right animal the right card… or the right food! Covering nine different stopping pairs (f-b, f-p, v-b, s-t, s-d, sh-t, sh-d, ch-t, j-d) you have tons of resources at your fingertips to work on this phonological process. To be EXTRA flexible, you’ll notice that I have included voiced/voiceless minimal pairs for common errored sounds such as ‘f’, ‘s’ and ‘sh’. Visual prompt cards are provided to help your kids remember what sound they have to use for each animal, and I’ve also included some handy pacing boards to help drill and repeat minimal pairs cards. Therapy activity ideas for auditory discrimination tasks, as well as the word-phrase-sentence level are listed to get you thinking how to use this in your room. ⭐ Read on the blog: Stopping Activities ANYONE can use - even parents for fun ideas with things you already have!⭐ Minimal pairs cards are bright, bold and beautiful! We all know that it can be such an effective way to treat the phonological process of Stopping so they come in color and black and white. You can easily have a set for the therapy room and send some cards home for kids to color and practice in an easy print-and-go format. ===================================== CONTENTS: ✅ -- 10 different feedings mouths for Stopping pairs (frog-pig, frog-bird, vulture-bird, snake-tiger, snake-dog, shark-tiger, shark-dog, cheetah-tiger, jellyfish-dog). ✅ -- Food pictures that go with each animal (e.g. flies for frog, bone for dog) ✅ -- Color & Black+White Pacing Boards to help with drilling pairs ✅ -- Minimal Pairs cards in Color & Black+White in initial position ✅ -- Covers 9 different stopping pairs: F-B, F-P, V-B, S-T, S-D, SH-T, SH-D, CH-T and J-D. ✅ -- Each set contains 9 minimal pairs, for a total of 18 cards per sound. ✅ -- Overall total of 162 individual cards ===================================== I love making creative resources that push kids to get in tons of practice while being fun and motivating. ⭐ If your students really struggle with the concept of phonology, check out some related phonology resources:⭐ Teach Phonology: Fronting Gliding Phonology Feeding Mouths Just Add ‘S’: S Blend Cluster Reduction Sequencing Strips What SLP's like you are saying: ❝Great for phonology activities as intended, but also as an open ended reinforcer❞ ❝My students love feeding the animals!❞ Do you need FREE ❝100 Trials for Speech❞ no-prep worksheets?
