Learn how to make a fall wreath card with Stampin' Up!'s Arrange a Wreath stamp set and Wreath Builder dies in this video tutorial!
I've recently made some Christmas cards with non-traditional colors (I'll be sharing those cards with you next week), but today I'm sharing a card with the most traditional of Christmas colors - rich greens and rich red. There's also a little pop of fun in this sophisticated palette of colors.
Welcome to another Friday Stamp Off Challenge. I think that I can speak for Susan and Buffy, saying that we tend to enjoy color challenges, if the colors are right! These are great colors, and we can pick 3 out of the 4 if that is our preference. Any combination of these colors would work, for masculine or feminine cards. I have to say that Arrange a Wreath (page 127) is one of my fav new Stampin' Up! bundles. I love the coordinating Wreath Builder dies on page 173. This combo is so brilliant because the two wreath options are both different and beautiful. The huge number of "accessories" to go with the dies, make this an incredibly flexible product grouping. Obviously, these flowers could be switched to red, in order to create a Christmas look. The sentiment stamps in this set are varied and useful. I cut this one out with a die from the Hippo and Friends Dies on page 176. This set of dies, with dies for layers, is just dandy. The background layer was run through the Subtles 3D Embossing Folder. The dots in the flower centers were colored with So Saffron Stampin' Blends Thank you for stopping by. Please enjoy the projects offered by Buffy and Susan.

Hi there Welcome to the Heart of Christmas showcase for August. I can't believe another month has gone already! I'm hosting the talented ladies from the Art with Heart team who have fabulous projects to get you inspired for your holiday crafting. Make sure you follow the links at the bottom of the post to see what they have created. I love wreaths and the Arrange A Wreath Bundle from the 2020-21 Annual Catalogue is a beauty. The great thing is that it isn't just about Christmas, with elements for Valentine's Day, Easter, Autumn/Thanksgiving and pretty much any other occasion....
Hello and welcome to my blog post for Colour INKspiration 85. Another beautiful inspiration photo for this challenge. And the colour combination leant itself to so many ideas to create with. Decisions .....decisions! I have used the beautiful Arrange a Wreath Bundle for this challenge. I have had my eye on this bundle since the Annual Catalogue came out. I am so happy I purchased it as it is sure to be a favourite as I love wreaths. The detail in the Wreath Builder dies is stunning! Start with a Sahara Sand card base measuring 21cm x 14.9cm scored and folded in half. Cut another piece of Sahara Sand card stock to measure 10.2cm x 14.6cm Cut a piece of Shimmery White card stock to measure 10cm x 14.4cm. On a piece of Shimmery White card stock to the size of the wreath then use your Water Painter to water colour the card stock with Pear Pizzaz ink. Die cut the leaf wreath. Cut a piece of Vellum card stock the same size as the more detailed wreath die and die cut the wreath. On another piece of Shimmery White card stock colour some Rich Razzleberry, Gorgeous Grape and Misty Moonlight ink with your Water Painters. Die cut the small flowers in Rich Razzleberry, Gorgeous Grape and Misty Moonlight. To make the flowers have a Misty Moonlight centre place the flower on a glue dot then place the small centre from a Misty Moonlight flower in the centre of the other coloured flowers. See image Glue the Pear Pizzaz wreath to the Vellum wreath. Then glue these layers to the Shimmery White card front. Arrange flowers around the wreath adhering with the glue dots. Cut a length of Linen thread and tie in a bow. Glue to the base of the wreath. Stamp the sentiment on a piece of Shimmery White Card stock in Misty Moonlight ink. Cut this into a thin strip with an angled end. Use dimensionals to adhere to the left side of the wreath. Glue the card front to the Sahara Sand layer then adhere these layers to the card base using dimensionals. I hope you have enjoyed reading how my card came together. I really love how this one turned out and enjoyed water colouring before die cutting the images. Thank you so much for visiting my post for his challenge. You are greatly appreciated! To celebrate St. Patrick's Day, I've got a project with lots of green! I was very inspired when I came across a special card on Pinterest made by Chris Slogar. So I visited her December
Stampin' Up!'s Arrange a Wreath bundle is a great one! The stamp set includes images and sentiments that are perfect for Valentine's Day, Fall/Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter, and a simple wreath design will work for occasions throughout the year. The Wreath Builder dies . . . just look at the two wreath options! Of course, they can be used together or separate. I've posted other wreath cards (click HERE to see them), but today I am sharing an assortment. Card #1 is a nice Fall design that also features designer paper from the In Good Taste collection. A circle was die-cut from the center of the paper before it was adhered to Early Espresso cardstock. My two die-cut wreath colors are Mossy Meadow and Soft Sea Foam. Can you see the texture on the leaves of the die-cut wreaths? Card #2 is a simple Valentine design that features the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder. Doesn't it have a neat texture? My wreath colors are (again) Mossy Meadow and Soft Sea Foam. The hearts and sentiment are stamped with Real Red ink. The die-cut hearts were brushed with Wink of Stella, but I don't think that shows up in the photo. I really like the "crate" image in the stamp set, and I stamped it with Crumb Cake ink onto white cardstock and then distressed the edges. This particular image goes so well with just about any wreath. Card #3 features a soft, pastel palette for Spring/Easter. Notice how I used both wreath styles--one from white cardstock and the other from Soft Sea Foam cardstock. They pair together so nicely! The egg images were stamped with Blushing Bride, Daffodil Delight, and Highland Heather inks and then cut with the egg dies. The Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon was so perfect for this card! Card #4 demonstrates how simple it is to create a Thinking of You card with this product bundle. My cardstock colors are Basic White, Soft Sea Foam, Pool Party, and Mossy Meadow (for the wreath). The pear images were stamped with So Saffron ink, and then I used a Sponge Dauber to very lightly apply a bit of Old Olive ink. I used a Soft Suede Stampin' Write Marker to color the stem, and my pears were brushed with Wink of Stella after they were die-cut. This card also features the Brick & Mortar 3D embossing folder and Just Jade gingham ribbon from the Flowers for Every Season Combo Pack. TECHNIQUE: One thing that may not be obvious from the photo is that the leafy wreath die was used to cut the wreath twice--once from Mossy Meadow cardstock and again from the Soft Sea Foam cardstock layer, which also cut the circle from that layer. I set the Soft Sea Foam wreath aside, and then inlaid the Mossy Meadow die-cut wreath in its place. Pretty cool, huh? Card # 5 . . . now isn't this a sweet little card with a sweet little message? Square cards make me happy, and I think this one will make someone's day. It features Basic White, Soft Sea Foam, Highland Heather, So Saffron, and Mossy Meadow cardstock. The die-cut wreaths are Basic White and Soft Sea Foam, and I used So Saffron, Mossy Meadow, and Highland Heather inks to stamp the flower and leaf images. Card #6 . . . I saved my favorite for last. I love everything about this card, and it looks so much nicer in real life. The wreaths were die-cut from Basic White and Mossy Meadow cardstock and adhered to the Vellum Cardstock with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. The small and large flowers were die-cut from Real Red and Crushed Curry cardstock, and I think those two colors play together very nicely on this card and also coordinate with the Flower & Field designer paper (one of the Sale-a-Bration products). In the center of the flowers, I placed rhinestones from Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels (red) and Gold Glitter Enamel Dots (gold). The embellishments at the top corners of the Vellum Cardstock are Gilded Gems. The sentiment is from Tasteful Touches stamp set and, of course, I again used the Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon. Now you tell me . . . which of these designs is your favorite? If you'd like to purchase this product bundle, you can do so HERE. And . . . your purchase will earn you a FREE Sale-a-Bration product if you order before the end of February 2021!

I love this time of year when everything is leafing out - such a lovely lacey green! supplies: white, pale green, and 2 pink cardstocks, Taylored Expressions Leafy Vine embossing folder, leaf sprig from Hero Arts Envelope Accessories dies, The Greetery Forget-Me-Nots dies, a Tammy Tutterow sentiment from Tiny Sentiments, pink and white pearls I haven't made a wreath lately, and this little sprig lends itself nicely to making one; I just layered it, securing each branch only at the bottom so that the rest of it would pop up a bit for dimension. I thought this embossing folder was a nice match with it, and the forget-me-nots and pearls add just the right amount of color. Edited to add these pictures of our crabapple out back. It's such a pretty pink right now as the flowers start to open......in a few days it will turn white. Hope your day goes well!
If you know me, you know that I love wreaths. When I saw the new Eden’s Garden Collection, I knew I had to make a wreath.
We've got a few new neighbors on our street so I have to hop to it to get some cards made so we can go introduce ourselves before they aren't "new" anymore. I thought I could make a cute little house card by pairing the Stitched Triangle dies with the stitched square from Stitched Shapes dies. The Paper Players challenge this week has a great set of colors and I thought they would be perfect for a little trio of houses. I started with a Whisper White thick card base then a layer of Night of Navy, then a Stitched Rectangle embossed with the Subtle embossing folder. Before embossing I stamped the "welcome" from Well Said in Night of Navy. Once I had the houses cut out and popped on dimensionals I added a few finishing touches. The Arrange a Wreath bundle had a heart and flower that were just the right size. The heart is stamped in Melon Mambo and cut out and adhered with a dimensional. The flower is cut out from Pool Party cardstock and in the center I added an adhesive pearl. The Pool Party house has a Night of Navy baker's twine bow. Thanks for looking! Did you stamp today? Stamps: Well Said, Arrange a Wreath Ink: Melon Mambo, Night of Navy Paper: Whisper White thick, Whisper White, Pool Party, Night of Navy, Mango Melody Accessories: Stitched Triangle dies, Stitched Shapes dies, Subtle embossing folder, Wreath Builder dies, dimensionals, adhesive pearl, Night of Navy baker's twine (retired)
Shock horror, I'm back with my second post for today and this one is using a brand spanking new stamp set, that will be available at the end of the month from Stampin Up called "Wondrous Wreath". When purchasing Christmas products, l generally like to buy those which can be used for more than just the intended purpose and this set, although awesome for Christmas, makes a very pretty floral wreath as well. I stamped 2 steps of the wreath (so easy with Photopolymer) in Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive on a Very Vanilla card base and added some bitty flower punches in Pink Pirouette, Crisp Cantaloupe and So Saffron. I also used my Blendies to colour some Basic Pearls....loving this idea, it makes it so easy to have everything matchy, matchy. I love how dainty it looks...Pretty happy with this one..:0) "Thanks for stopping by" All supplies used are Stampin Up!
Welcome to The Spot Challenge! This week we have a color challenge and I have to admit, I did want to make a leafy card--but I was trying really hard to go beyond the obvious for these colors! I LOVE

Pretty Peacock with Arrange a Wreath and Today's Tiles Hi. Welcome to Valley Inspirations with Andrea and the 37th 2020/2021 Colour Creations Showcase by members of the Art with Heart Team. I am so please you have called by. This week we are focussing on a a deep teal blue green called Pretty Peacock. Pretty Peacock is one of Stampin' Up! 2019-2021 In Colour collection. It is a beautiful deep rich colour that is a delight to use. Pretty Peacock can be found in Stampin' Up!s card-stock, both A4 & 12"x12"; Classic Stampin' inks (ink pads, re-inkers); Stampin' Write Markers; Stampin' Blends, some Designer Series Papers, including the Forever Greenery and Whale of a Time DSP, Pretty Peacock Scalloped Linen Ribbon, the delightful Pretty Peacock/Old Olive Reversible Ribbon, Woven Threads Sequin Assortment and Butterfly Gems. I've created two different cards this week, both featuring Pretty Peacock, however, the colour schemes and techniques are different. The first card includes water-coloured die cuts with minimal stamping, while the second card uses layered 2-step stamping and heat embossing. CARD 1: The oh so gorgeous Pretty Peacock/Old Olive Reversible Ribbon was the inspiration for this first card. The ribbon features Pretty Peacock with an Old Olive tinge on one side and the reverse on the other side, both with a metallic sheen. Also, I recently saw a video creating different styles of easel cards and was intrigued to try an upright wreath easel card. This is my version using quality Stampin' Up! products. The Pretty Peacock cardstock card base was scored in half, folded and burnished - as normal. Approximately 5cm was trimmed off the front flap of the card base. A card front was prepared in Basic White card-stock and cut in two at the same point as the front of the base. Both pieces of the card front were dry embossed using the Tin Tile 3D embossing folder. The bigger piece was directly adhered to the top section of the card and the other piece adhered to the card base, ensuring that when the card is closed flat embossed white card-stock is fully seen. Two strips of Soft Sea Foam card-stock were cut to sit across the card at the edges of the embossed card-stock. A sentiment was stamped in the centre of one strip using Pretty Peacock Classic Stampin' ink. I chose "Happy Easter" from the Arrange a Wreath stamp set as I was creating an Easter Wreath. (I'm getting in early with preparations for Easter.) This is such a versatile set as it can be used for a range of celebrations. The two light green strips were adhered to abutting edges of the embossed white card, ensuring the sentiment would be seen on the base. A thin strip of Brass Foil was adhered to the bottom edge of the Soft Sea Foam strip on the top section of the card. Another thin strip of Brass Foil was adhered to the top section of the Soft Sea Foam strip on the base of the card. Two more strips of foil were layered on top of this strip, thereby forming a lip that will hold the wreath as an easel. Using the two different wreath dies from the Wreath Builder dies, one of each was cut from Shimmery White card-stock and a third from Brass Foil using the leafy wreath die. The leaf Shimmery White wreath was water-coloured with Pretty Peacock Classic Stampin' ink refill adding touched of Old Olive ink and the spriggy wreath was water-coloured with Old Olive with touches of Pretty Peacock. Extra wreaths were cut from Basic White card-stock and they were adhered directly to the underneath of the water-coloured wreaths to add extra strength. The wreaths were layered and adhered together. A strip of Shimmery White card-stock was water-coloured with Cherry Cobbler Classic Stampin' ink, ensuring some variation of depth of colour. Once dry, Easter eggs from the Arrange a Wreath stamp set were stamped in Versamark ink and heat embossed using Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder. The eggs and some little flowers were die cut from the water-coloured strip using the coordinating Wreath Builder dies. Little flowers were also die cut from Brass Foil. Each water-coloured flower was layered with a brass flower. Also cut from the Cherry Cobbler water-coloured strip (that had been mounted on a piece of Foam Adhesive Sheet) was a heart with letters spelling "LOVE" cut out. The eggs and flowers were arranged around the wreath, with a bow of the Reversible Ribbon being adhered at the top with a couple of Glue Dots. Small white Elegant Faceted Gems were added to the centre of each flower. A Soft Sea Spray die cut circle (cut using the Layering Circle Dies) was adhered to the back of the wreath. A smaller circle, die cut from Pretty Peacock card-stock was folded in half and with one half adhered to the underneath side of the card front. The other half of the circle was adhered to the upper centre of the back of the wreath - thus forming the hinge for the wreath. The cut out water-coloured lettering was adhered to the centre of the wreath. An extra piece of Basic White card-stock was adhered above the embossed section on the inner section of the card. This is for writing a message to the recipient. A white heart was die cut (using the same set of dies) and adhered directly to the card inner together with a left over water-coloured flower with an Elegant Faceted Gem adhered at the centre. A wreath (from the same stamp set) was partially stamped on a Basic White C6 envelope to provide an inkling of what may be inside. I loved creating a different version of an easel card. I learnt along the way, so will make changes to my next card, including moving the layered section further down so the easel wreath sits at an angle rather than at right angles to the card base. This has spiked my creativity and I am looking forward to further exploration of ideas. CARD 2: As I pondered the other project to create showing Pretty Peacock, my mind went to an uninked stamp set, Today's Tiles. I decided to combine Pretty Peacock with Pool Party and silver embossing. Using my trusty Stamparatus, I set it up with a stamp from the Today's Tiles stamp set that would stamp 2 rows of 4 tiles in one go. Wanting alternate tiles of Pretty Peacock and Pool Party, I had planned to use Stampin' Spots to ink the tiles. In preparing, I wondered if there would be more control using the Marker to Stamp technique ... I tried this option. I stamped the full stamp in Pool Party Classic Stampin' ink knowing that Pretty Peacock was a strong colour and could cover the lighter Pool Party. As this was my first use of the stamp set, I needed to stamp, re-ink and stamp again to attain good ink coverage. I then coloured each alternate tile using a Pretty Peacock Stampin' Write Marker - stamping one tile at a time. The stamping plate was moved 2 notches to stamp another set of 8 tiles adjacent to the first. You have to love Stampin' Up's attention to detail that ensured the tile width matched the Stamparatus width of 2 notches. As the stamp had significant area that touched the paper, the Basic White card-stock moved each time I lifted the stamp, even though it was held with 3 bar magnets. I tried to re-align it back into the same spot, but as you can see in the close-ups, it wasn't exact all the time and led to a little shadowing on some of the Pretty Peacock tiles. I wasn't happy with my first attempt so started afresh, adding an extra bar magnet. It still wasn't perfect, but I needed to progress the card - forgetting that there would be close-up photos. Ah well, in sharing the imperfections it is showing areas to watch out for, if you give this a go. I'm certainly looking forward to playing again with this set and working out how to ensure the card-stock doesn't move. I set up the second stamp designed to highlight certain aspects of the tile design. I stamped it in Versamark ink and then heat embossed the tiles using Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder. I then moved the stamp plate 2 steps along and added Versamark ink to the adjoining set of 8 tiles. Wow, I was so excited with the effect (I know, it doesn't take much for me to get excited.) The stamped square of 4 by 4 tiles was trimmed close to the tiles. I mounted it directly on a slightly larger square of Basic White card-stock and then mounted it on larger square of Pool Party card-stock using Dimensionals. It was then adhered directly to the Pretty Peacock card-stock base. A sentiment from the same Today's Tiles stamp set was stamped in Versamark on Pool Party card-stock and heat embossed with Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder. It was trimmed to a strip that spanned the tile design and mounted onto a wider piece of Basic White card-stock. Some white twine from the Snail Mail Combo Pack was tied around the sentiment strip ending in a bow. This was popped up with Dimensionals over a strip of 4 tiles. The final touch was the addition of 3 clear Elegant Faceted Gems. A piece of Basic White card-stock, mounted on Pool Party card-stock was adhered to the inside of the card. Three tiles from the discarded stamped tiles was added to carry the focal design through to the inside. As the card was not a standard size at about 12.5 x 12.5cm I custom-made an envelope using a piece of the Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper. A Basic White die cut oval was adhered to the front of the envelope for writing name & address. I am looking forward to playing with this stamp set again and working to eliminate the imperfections. The coordinating dies are gorgeous and I have numerous ideas to include them on a project. So stay tuned ... Thank you so much for spending time with me. 😘 Catherine Proctor is the fantastic host of the Art with Heart Colour Creations Showcase. Welcome to my first time hopping with the Stampin Dreams Blog Hop!! I am Ann Krucek from the United States of America. I am happy to join this international group of creative stampers! This month we are doing a Holiday Catalog Sneak Peak. So you should be inspired by lots of creativity with the new products. I chose to focus on fall with this post. I used the Come to Gather Designer Series Paper in both of these cards. The first card is actually using a die set that is featured in the Toile Tidings Suite, called All-Around Wreath Dies. I used lots of layering with card stock, foil paper and just a hint of DSP. I also added some more texture by using the Braided Linen Trim tucked in with the leaves. The sentiment is from the Gather Together Stamp Set. 🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁 The second card I did was again using the Come Gather Together DSP. But this time I used the Gather Together Stamp Set and the Gathered Leaves Dies. I inked up my dies when I ran them through to cut them. So I used Pretty Peacock paper and used a sponge to put white ink on my leaf die, then did the opposite - I used Whisper White paper and used a sponge to put Pretty Peacock ink on my leaf die. I love the effect it gives the leaves. I stamped the pumpkins with Soft Sued on to the wood look paper and used the Braided Linen Trim again for some pumpkin vines. I wrapped the trim around a narrow paint brush and put a very very light coat of glue on the outer side and let it sit and dry for a long time. Don't put too much glue on or it will stick to your paint brush!! Please be sure to check out all of the blogs on our hop today! Here is the list of those participating:
Arrange A Wreath and the Wreath Builder dies are the spotlight of this class. A Beautiful Card and stunning results. Easy peasy!
What can I say??? I ? watercolouring .... and today I used one of the new In Colours - Magenta Madness - with Pacific Point and Bermuda Bay - and I'm totally in love with this combination. I kinda did
