To say that this orange and pistachio éclair recipe by the famous French pastry chef Christophe Adam is elaborate would be an understatement. The choux pastry is made with equal parts of milk, water, butter, and flour and two parts eggs and flavored with the best vanilla extract. Since pistachios are used in the cream, the paste, and for decoration, chef Adam recommends using Iranian pistachios for higher quality and more authentic flavor.
I’m such a huge fan of getting together with friends outdoors for picnics, barbecues and beach lunches. But sadly, a by-product of these get-togethers can be trash - plates, utensils and cups. But over the last year, I’ve grown more mindful of this. Enter, the humble fabric DIY cutlery holder!

By Theadora Brack Oops, I did it again. I attended an exposition’s “vernissage” (literally, the “varnishing”—what we would call the opening), and became smitten with the show and its fine-looking c…
Our Wedding Suppliers! How lucky we were to celebrate the most magical day of our lives in our very own garden… from the day we very first viewed our home, we knew we would get married here (or, technically speaking, get married in the village church before celebrating in our garden!) And while close friends and family teased us for our long engagement, everyone agreed it was absolutely worth the wait; a spectacular couple of days filled with love, laughter and a LOT of dancing – and Charlie and I chose to support as many British and local brands as possible during our celebrations. Read on for the full list of suppliers who made our wedding dreams come true. One important factor to note, is just how many of our suppliers are also parents to sausage dogs!!! Without intending it – although it may seem as though we have an unconscious bias – it turned out that most of our vendors were also Dachshund owners. It was a fabulous common thread amongst the dream team! It goes hopefully without saying that with just one exception, detailed below, Charlie and I paid in full for our wedding suppliers. These posts are here to help you to choose the very best for your weddings too, and share the incredible businesses that we chose to hire and support during our wedding. Wedding planning by Jennifer Louise Weddings Jen and Sam were the dream team who turned all of Charlie’s and my hopes and ideas into a reality. I truly cannot thank them enough for working tirelessly to create the wedding of our dreams! Jen and Sam also have a fabulous rental company; The Luxe Collection, where you can rent a lot of the pieces we used, from the crockery (We opted for the Charingworth crockery which is the east same that we have in our kitchen!) to the plates, glasses, and even – I believe they’re soon to be stocking the rechargeable Pooky Lamps that looked so fabulous on our dining table. (Sausage dog parents to Phoebe) Photography by Poppy Carter Portraits Poppy was the official wedding photographer and she did a fantastic job at capturing our special day – we wanted someone who not only was fun and friendly (as you spend a lot of time with your photographer on the wedding day – so a ‘high fashion’ photographer who was a little bit too serious was definitely not something I wanted!!) but also very experienced in weddings – so they knew how to get your attention, your best angles, and get snaps of everyone without creating too much of a fuss on the day. We didn’t want family or friends to feel like they were being herded into positions for hours – and Poppy got the most wonderful, natural shots and ones which we will cherish forever. Videography by Jake Burgess Films Jake is one of our regular Fashion Mumblr videographers and as such, he knows our style so well. Both Charlie and I couldn’t recommend Jake any more highly as the most wonderful chap (fellow sausage dog owner – father to Charlie) and SUCH a delight to work with, but also the capturer of the most sensationally emotional, beautiful and memorable wedding films. Just wow. Photography by Kat’s Films Kat is one of our regular Fashion Mumblr photographers and is also a dear friend! At the wedding, Kat captured candid moments for us and delivered hundreds of photos to us within days of the wedding which we were so grateful for, especially for sharing so much on our social channels! Videography by Reuben Mowle You may have spotted Reuben on my YouTube Channel, as he sometimes shoots content for Fashion Mumblr. Reuben shot some fantastic reels for us at the rehearsal dinner and on our wedding day – and of course is just a hilariously fabulous friend of mine and Charlie’s too. Stationary by Gable & Grain The quality of the stationary provided by Gable & Grain was unbelievable. From the order of service, to the wedding invitations, to the match boxes, Gable & Grain simply excelled. I discovered Gina’s work via Instagram and she was a true dream to work with on our wedding stationary. Floristry by Floward (part of a long term partnership) The Floward team, led by Nem, utterly transformed our home, garden and the church with the most beautiful flowers I could imagine. When I first saw all of the florals laid out, I couldn’t believe my eyes; it was the most flowers I’d ever seen in one place. The skill of Nem and the whole Floward team was unmatched; what they created was beyond what I ever could have imagined – and they by far exceeded the brief we gave them. I spent a lot of time chatting through my floral dreams with the Floward team, and oh boy, did they come to life and so much more. We opted for British native flowers similar to those you’d find in our garden, with a largely green and white scheme but with some purple woven in too; everything from the marquees, to the church to the archway in our garden was utterly transformed. Marquees by Original Marquees Charlie and I were so impressed with our stunning Marquees, but also with the set up and take-down process. The team at Original Marquees were so professional and efficient, and a week on, our grass shows no signs it was ever covered up! Our marquees were both traditional Sperry Tent style – and we also recruited separate companies to bring in beautiful draping, lighting, and sound specialists to add to the fabulous styling and detail. Catering by Quince & Clover I’m sure you all know how much we love Quince & Clover, and I’m sure it was no surprise that we chose them to do the catering for our wedding. Quince & Clover provided all of the food on our wedding day, as well as the wonderful BBQ the day after. Our guests proclaimed that the lamb served for our main wedding meal was ‘the best they’d ever had’ – and truly the quality of the food, locally sourced ingredients, and the incredible professionalism and friendliness of their team was truly exceptional. Rehearsal Dinner by Pit Kitchen Pit Kitchen is a popup restaurant that comes to the Cotswolds every summer. It’s one of our favourite places to go for dinner, and of course Charlie had become friendly with the chaps who run the venture, and they kindly agreed to cook some of their scrumptious shawarma dishes and so many more delicious plates for our dinner the night before the wedding. Cake by Barefoot Oxford I first met the team behind Barefoot during a wild swim on a cold, March morning – they bought brownies as our ‘reward’ for surviving the cold plunge – and they were truly the best brownies I’ve ever tasted. Barefoot Oxford did an excellent job creating our wedding cake of dreams. The whole process of creating our cake (especially sampling flavours!) was so fun and the cake designs worked perfectly for our floral theme, and I couldn’t recommend them more highly Hair by Summer of Michael Van Clarke Wow, what a fantastic job Summer did! She effortlessly styled my hair and my bridesmaids’ hair with the fabulous Millie-Rose – and I can’t forget to say a huge thank you to Bernie at Michael Van Clarke for colouring my hair for the last few years too. A dream team – and the most wonderful girls to spend time with on my wedding morning. Makeup by Jess at I explained to Jess during my trial that I hoped to look like me, but with a far more professional touch – on our wedding day! The brief was a glowing, natural makeup look, and oh my goodness did Jess deliver! She created a look for me with our Laura Mercier favourite products, the foundation and the Laura Mercier setting spray being a particular favourite! El Said did the most spectacular job on the bridesmaids makeup too with assistance from Alice – truly the most fun and fabulous team to have with us. Nails by Jessica White Lovely Jess gave me and my bridesmaids flawless OPI gel manicures the day before the wedding. Of course I opted for Bubble Bath for my bridal mani! Jess even bought some Yorkshire Tea and her own nail oil creation as a wedding gift – how kind is she?! Fragrance by Jo Malone CBE Receiving a bespoke, personal fragrance from Jo Malone herself was a true ‘pinch-me’ moment! The scent she designed for me was inspired by the description that I gave her of our wedding day; and included the most heavenly rose notes which I’ll cherish forever. Tableware & Decor by The Luxe Collection UK The Luxe Collection is a company owned by Jen & Sam, our wedding planners, and they provide beautiful items for event hire, such as our favourite Charingworth cutlery (the exact same set as we have at home!) and more. Furniture by Virginia’s Vintage Hire We hired some extra pieces such as armchairs and tables from Virginias, as well as stocking up on antiques from local centres, to style the spaces for our event! Lighting by Crescent Moon Events Crescent Moon provided the incredible chandeliers we had in our marquees. It’s incredible the difference it made having beautiful lighting! Lamps by Pooky Lighting Pooky Lighting is a brand that we have used throughout our home. They create stunning lamp and lampshade designs, with their rechargeable lamps being a particular favourite of ours. Pooky kindly lent us many of their rechargeable lamps to place on the tables for our wedding breakfast, and they helped to create such a wonderful atmosphere. I believe Jen and Sam are purchasing some to rent out via The Luxe Collection. Draping by Draping Bliss Before starting the wedding planning process, I couldn’t have imagined all of the details that go into planning a wedding. One detail that I hadn’t thought about was draping. Draping Bliss transformed our marquees into the most magical spaces which would not have had the same look or atmosphere without their hard work. A great recommendation from Jen & Sam. Production by Evenlode Films Evenlode Films is a film production company based in Cheltenham who helped us with logistics such as lighting, electrics and other things which I would NEVER have a clue where to start! Music The Soundhouse Band The Soundhouse Band.. WOW. Where do I begin. Truly exceptionally talented musicians, singers, performers who had EVERYONE on the dance floor. I danced literally all night long and couldn’t recommend them any more highly. Vocal Works Gospel Choir Vocal Works performed during our Wedding ceremony. They kept guests entertained while they awaited the bride’s arrival, and also performed at the very end of the ceremony – singing ‘This Will Be an Everlasting Love’ as we left the church. Our guests all said they were truly fabulous – I only wish I’d got to hear them more! Beau String Quartet Beau String Quartet played during the ceremony and the garden party and are led by one of my followers online! A string quartet adds such a lovely ambience to an event and they played so beautifully. Okiem Official Okiem is an incredible pianist and composer who I hadn’t heard of before our wedding, but am now obsessed with! Okiem is incredibly talented, and I can see big things in his future. I have been lucky enough to see Okiem perform twice now; once at our wedding, and once at Henley Royal Regatta. I’d highly recommend checking him out on Spotify – I can’t stop listening to The Golden Circle! London Brass Roamers London Brass Roamers performed straight after our church ceremony, leading guests down the garden path back to our house and were truly fabulous at getting everyone dancing and upping the atmosphere during the party! Napkins & Candles by Bertioli by Thyme Thyme create the most wonderful fabrics, and so of course we had to incorporate them into our big day. Thyme kindly lent us the napkins for our wedding breakfast and we purchased a huge amount of their heavenly candles to add to the table scape and scent our wedding breakfast marquee – the best thing is, we still have so many left over so will enjoy this wedding scent for probably years to come! Table Runners by The Knotted Napkin Co We hired our table runners from The Knotted Napkin Co, they perfectly dressed the tables on the wedding day – and we also hired napkins from them for the garden party the following day. Dress by Emma Beaumont Atelier Emma and her team, based in Cheshire, brought my wedding dress dreams to life. I could not have been happier with the end result, and with the whole design process. Emma and her team were so professional and were a pleasure to work with, and my wedding dress will be kept safe and treasured for the rest of my life – it includes so many personal touches, from the fact that I was able to explain and design my absolute dream dress – to flowers from our garden embroidered within it – and even my precious sausage dogs embroidered within the Swiss Dot tulle too! Bridesmaids Dresses by Maids to Measure The wonderful sage green bridesmaids dresses were supplied by Maids to Measure, a London based company founded by two sisters. The Maids to Measure team were so incredibly helpful at helping me with the dresses at exceptionally short notice – and I think it’s fabulous that you’re able to have dresses all cerated from the same fabric, but with different designs to suit the style of each of your bridesmaids. Groomswear by Charlie and I have been loyal customers of Reiss for many years now, and Charlie absolutely loved the new Summer 2023 collection which included this – which is currently in the sale!! – The boys all looked very dapper! Jewellery by David Morris David Morris Jewellers, London provided me with my ‘something borrowed’. They lent me a beautiful set of their Miss Daisy collection jewellery, including a tiara, necklace, earrings, and some beautiful earrings for LL too. The jewellery was the most elegant and sparkling finishing touch to my bridal look.
