This card was created for the... Try Stampin' on Tuesday Challenge #632. Optional Theme: Thanksgiving This month TSOT is partnering with Double Trouble (Paper crafting with Thing 1 and/or Thing 2). Head on over to the Double Trouble blog to join in on their "3-2-1 Recipe to a Happy Harvest" challenge as well. For my "Fall/Autumn" card, I used the Stampin' Up! Autumn Leaves Bundle, All About Autumn DSP, Tartan Foil Specialty DSP and Rose Gold Specialty Paper. For my card base, I used Copper Clay cardstock followed by Tartan Foil Specialty DSP and All About Autumn DSP. Another layer of the Tartan Foil was added behind the grouping of leaves. The leaves were stamped using Copper Clay, Crushed Curry & Cajun Craze inks and die cut. The veins on the larger leaf were die cut using Rose Gold Specialty Paper. The smaller leaves were die cut from the DSP. For the ribbon behind the large leaf, I used Copper Ribbon from the Copper & Natural Ribbon Combo Pack. The large leaf was adhered with dimensionals. I used two different embellishments for the finishing touches on my card - Adhesive-Backed Speckled Dots & Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems. The sentiment was stamped using Copper Clay ink, die cut and adhered with dimenisonals. Tartan Foil DSP was added on the envelope flap. Inside my card is Basic White cardstock with a 3/4" strip of DSP along the right. The leaves were stamped using Copper Clay ink. Today's card is a stunning Christmas card easy enough to replicate several times. The card features Stampin' Up Wishes All Around Bundle along with Stampin' Up Joyful DSP. The card front is a panel of Stampin' Up Joyful DSP adhered to a piece of Gold Foil. I adhered the layers to a Cherry Cobbler card base. I die cut a piece of Vellum with Stampin' Up Deckled Rectangle Dies. I adhered the vellum to the card front. I stamped a Christmas tree wreath from Stampin' Up Wishes All Arounds Stamp Set with Shaded Spruce ink on a piece of Very Vanilla card stock. I die cut the stamped image and a piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock with the coordinating dies. I adhered the die cuts to the card front with liquid adhesive and Stampin' Dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment with Versamark Ink on a strip of Cherry Cobbler card stock. I heat embossed gold embossing powder with my heating tool. I punched each end off with Stampin' Up Banners Pick A Punch. I adhered the sentiment to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals. The inside is a panel of Very Vanilla card stock with a sentiment stamped from Stampin' Up Very Best Occasions Stamp Set using Shaded Spruce ink. I colored the holly leaves with Shaded Spruce and Cherry Cobbler ink using Stampin' Up Blender Pens. I adhered a strip of DSP to the bottom before adhering the Very Vanilla to the card base. Hey there! Have you been dealing with lots of rain lately? We sure have. There were 1 3/4 inches that fell just yesterday alone. So glad we don't have to worry about flooding anymore! And after two days of rain, I woke up to sunshine and blue skies this morning. What a pleasant surprise. It's gotten me invigorated to get on with the card sending. All the cards for the shut-ins from church down here have been made. This morning was time for adding the inserts, getting them in the envelopes, adding postage, and mailing them. I'm finished except for going to the Post Office to mail them. Seems like the mailman doesn't like picking up 26 cards all at once. Oh well, at least it's a nice day for running errands! Now that those are all taken care of, it's back to making my own cards. Today I have a card to share made with the Merriest Trees die set. I didn't stamp the tree at all (just sentiments), but I did die-cut the different elements to make this one. I keep looking at the finished card and wondering if it's too busy. It's got a lot more going on than what I normally make. What do you think? The card starts with a half sheet of Lost Lagoon measuring 8 1/2" x 5 1/2". It's scored and folded in half. The first layer is Basic White that measures 4 1/8" x 5 3/8". This is a very skinny layer behind the next layer which is the Tartan Foil Specialty Paper that is an Online Exclusive only. This paper is so pretty, and I thought it would make a great focal point for the card. The layer is cut at 5 1/4" x 4". It's wrapped with a piece of Silver and White Sheer Ribbon that is attached to the back. After adding the ribbon, attach the DSP to the Basic White layer with adhesive. These get attached to the card base with adhesive also. The love and joy are a stamp in the Merriest Trees set. They were stamped with Lost Lagoon ink and fussy-cut apart to place on either side of the tree. They are attached with segments of Mini Dimensionals. The Merry Christmas comes from the Stars At Night set. It's also stamped with Lost Lagoon ink and fussy-cut. The silver trim on the tree is part of the same set we've been focusing on. It's cut from Silver Foil. It was backed a section of Adhesive Sheet before die-cutting. This made it so easy to just peel and stick the trim where I wanted it to be. After the trim was added, the sentiment was placed over this with Dimensionals. One of the star dies from the Stars At Night Bundle was die-cut from the More Dazzle Specialty Paper. I thought it was a nice sparkly addition to the design. This is where I might have gone a little overboard on the additions. Three little clear Rhinestone Basic Jewels were added to the tree for decoration. Too much? Tell me what you think. I was making changes to my design all along the way. The tree was going to be the backside of the DSP which has a white background with different plaid. It looked too white against the white layer, so it turned into the darker side of the paper. With the darkness of the tree, I struggled to figure out how to brighten it. That's how I think I over did it. Ah yes, another work in progress. Thanks for stopping in to see what's new. I've been stamping up a storm of Christmas cards and I'm running out of time to share them all. I might do the blog posts a little different for the next week or two. If I just share a card or two using the same set or DSP without all the directions it would go much quicker. Besides, most of these cards are pretty straightforward and don't need lots of details. What do you think? More cards and less talk for the next two weeks? Or stay as it is and post every 2-3 days? I can do it either way. Or maybe a mix of the two plans? Give me some input here. This week Global Design Project has a color challenge that screams fall to me. I decided to pull out Stampin' Up Pick Of The Patch Stamp Bundle to create a fun fall card. This weeks Global Design Challenge: This weeks TGIF Challenge: The card front is a panel of Stampin' Up Tartan Foil DSP adhered to a Basic Black mat. I stamped several pumpkins from Stampin' Up Pick Of The Patch Stamp Set with Pumpkin Pie ink on a piece of Very Vanilla card stock. I punched the pumpkins out with the coordinating punch. I punched stems from a piece of Basic Black. I adhered the stems to the back of each pumpkin. I stamped the sentiment with Mementos Tuxedo Black Ink on a strip of Very Vanilla card stock. I punched each end off with Stampin' Up Banners Pick A Punch. I cut a strip of Stampin' Up Black & Very Vanilla Large Check Ribbon and cut a flag on both end. I adhered ribbon to the back of the sentiment strip. I adhered the layers to the card front. I layered the pumpkins to the card front with liquid adhesive and Stampin' Dimensionals. I adhered the card front to a piece of Thick Very Vanilla card stock. The inside is a panel of Very Vanilla. I stamped 2 pumpkins in the bottom corner with Pumpkin Pie ink. I added the stems with Mementos Tuxedo Black ink. I stamped the sentiment with black ink. I adhered the Very Vanilla to a Basic Black mat before adhering the layers to the card base. I made this card this week using this lovely Dsp, this is a great gender neutral card. Card Details Card base is Lost Lagoon cardstock 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" score 4 1/4". Silver Foil layers are 4 " x 5 1/4" + 3 1/8" x 4 1/8". Tartan Foil Specialty Dsp layers are: 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" + 2 7/8" x 3 7/8". Die cut using the Something Fancy Dies (Largest Silver Foil + 2nd largest Basic White) stamp the sentiment from the Pansy Patch stamp set using Pretty Peacock Ink. Back to basics for todays card, a nice simple one to show off some fantastic paper that was released a few months ago. I love simple christmas cards and I originally showed these off in an Insta Reel when I first started making christmas cards a few months back. I wouldn't have thought to use Tartan designs for a christmas card but I like it! This paper is also perfect for those masculine cards as well. They are so easy, you don't need many supplies and these are a great card for a beginner to dip their toes into. Plus this design is a great way to use up the negative piece that you die cut from, rather than throwing it in the bin, make a card front from it, grab some fancy dsp and layer on a card base. Of course, it needs some sparkle to finish so my go to is the More Dazzle paper for a simple star on top. You could add a few embellishments if you want, or really got to town with the sentiment but I just decided to keep it basic this time round.
