Hello there stamping friends! I hope that you have had a fantastic week and are having an awesome Friday. Because it's Friday, that means that is time for another Just Add Ink challenge - Just Add Ink #533 | Just Add 'S'. It's one of our fun letter challenges - Just Add 'S'. You could incorporate your favourite stamp set starting with 'S', snow, snowflakes, sunshine, sunflowers, colours like silver or the Stampin' Up! colour Shaded Spruce, Santa, a Sympathy card, whatever you desire as long as it fits into Just Add 'S'. Today for my card I've used a technique that I've wanted to try for a long time, the Sunburst/Starburst Technique and I've used the Snowflake Splendor DSP with this fun technique. I've used the Sunburst Tutorial from fellow JAI Design Team Member - Di Barnes, HERE as this was the easiest one to follow. Also with the Sunburst Technique and the Snowflake Splendor DSP I also added Shimmery White Cardstock, Sponging, Stitching and Snowflakes for my Just Add 'S' card. I think I've got enough 'S' elements. Once all the DSP pieces were adhered to the card I finished off the card with the Vellum Snowflakes, Linen Thread, Snowflake Splendor Ribbon, and the sentiment stamped in Misty Moonlight from the Snowflake Wishes Stamp Set and the Blue Adhesive-Backed Gems. I do hope that I've given you some inspiration for this week's letter theme. Please head on over to the Just Add Ink Blog to see all the variety in the JAI Design Teams Projects and then come and join in the fun of this week's Just Add 'S' challenge. Can't wait to see what you create. Thank so much for stopping by! Happy Stamping! Live in Australia? Hey there!!! I'm back with the second card that I made with the gorgeous Snowflake Splendor card kit! This one uses the MFT sketch layout and I will also be posting it to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge of anything goes. I love how this card turned out, but I must admit that it was a bit tricky getting the letters placed on top of the snowflakes! After getting everything layered and lined up I stamped the sentiment from the MFT Snow Globe Sentiments on a strip of vellum, then heat embossed it with white embossing powder and layered it on top of the word. I have one more layered snowflake left so I need to come up with something simple so I can use that one, too. Already thinking up some ideas so I can use the stamp set, as well. Hmmm... they might look really pretty stamped in all the colors from the current MFT color challenge!! Have a wonderful day... Supplies: All supplies are from the MFT card kit except the embossing powder, embossing ink and the vellum used for the sentiment strip

Get Better Soon with Playful Pets and Healing Hugs Hello. Welcome to Valley Inspirations with Andrea and the 18th Social Stamping Blog Host. This month's Social Stamping theme is Get Better Soon. When thinking about what I would make I decided to create a card for my dog, Gemma, and I to send to her groomer. Gemma is a Lhasa Apso x Shih Tzu and requires grooming professionally every 3 months or so. Gemma's groomer is brilliant in handling dogs and has amazing skill with the clippers. I have been taking my dogs to her for many, many years. She has been going through a barrage of tests recently and so I thought it would be great for us to send her a card to let her know that we are thinking of her and appreciate her. This is a Slimline 3D Box style card, with a middler layer sitting between the front and back. It will lay flat and fit into a standard DL envelope. The front and back base pieces were cut from a piece of A4 Thick Whisper White card-stock; with the front piece being 1 1/2" longer than the back piece. Both ends of the front piece were scored in from the edge at 1/4" and 3/4"; so the front sits 1/2" away from the back. The 1/4" section was used to adhere front to back. Before forming the box, a woodgrain piece of In Good Taste Designer Series Paper was mounted on a slightly larger piece of Real Red card-stock; which in turn was mounted to the front base piece. A rectangular hole was cut in the centre of the front section using a rectangular die from the Stitched So Sweetly dies. As it was cutting through 3 layers of paper, it needed to be passed through the Cut n Emboss machine a few times. The rectangular hole was to be longer than the die, so the die was moved further along ensuring it aligned with the cut scallops. Part of the cut rectangular piece was used to create the in-between layer. A number of dogs were fussy cut and one die cut from a couple of designs from the Playful Pets DSP. The red stripe that has been used for the background also came from the same focal central grey dog was popped up on Dimensionals, a couple of dogs were adhered to the middle layer, and one of the dogs (the one doing the "downward dog") was adhered to the front layer. One of the dogs (probably a Lhasa Also or Shih Tzu, is wearing a healing collar that was cut from Vellum card-stock with a small circular die from the Layering Circles dies. A second fussy cut head was added to give the appearance of wearing the collar and add further dimension. The letters to form the word "Doggone" were cut from Real Red card-stock that had been adhered to an Adhesive Sheet. A second set was cut from Real Red card-stock to add to the back of the letters as I realised that the letters would partially hang over the edge of the cut out centre. The letters were adhered at the base in a wonky fashion. A piece of twine from the Playful Pets Trim Combo pack was attached to one of the dogs (as a lead) and partially looped around some of the letters, with the end frayed a little. A rolled Glue Dot held the twine in place behind the 'N'. A sentiment from the Healing Hugs stamp set was stamped in Early Expresso Classic Stampin' ink onto Vellum card-stock and then over stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Clear Stampin' Emboss powder. The Stamparatus was used for stamping which enabled the double layer of stamping to stamp directly onto of the Early Expresso sentiment. I do love my Stamparatus. As the sentiment didn't show well in position, a small piece of Whisper White card-stock was adhered to the Vellum and the sentiment was also popped up on Dimensionals. A piece of Whisper White card-stock was mounted on Real Red cardstock and then onto the back panel. Prior to mounting, the panel was stamped with a dog, dog bowl and butterflies from the Pampered Pets stamp set in Early Expresso Classic Stampin' ink. The same dog was also stamped on the front of a DL envelope. To finish off the Slimline 3D Box card a bone trinket from the Playful Pets trinkets was adhered with a Glue Dot to the focal dog and butterflies were stamped in Early Expresso Classic Stampin' ink. I thought I would take a photo of my special girl with the card that is to be sent to her groomer. It wasn't an easy process as she had positioned herself in the garden. To take the photo I ended up in the garden, kneeling in the wet dirt. Most of the photos showed her looking anywhere but toward the camera. Peta of Stampin' Cat, I am in awe of you and your photos of your cards with your cat. I have decided that the ol' adage about actors never working with children or animals also applies to taking photos of dogs and cards together!!! Here's Gemma with the card: I hope you are enjoying this month's Social Stamping Blog Host that has focused on a "Get Well Soon" theme. The Snowflake Splendor Suite is so easy to use to come up with stunning cards! I just could not stop making cards last evening, and found I wanted to try every single sheet of the Snowflake Splendor DSP
I created this card for a recent FB Live. I was asked to share ideas and samples with my Life is Beautiful stamp set for a private Demonstrator only Facebook group. What an honor it is to be asked! Here's one of the cards I made. I'll share more next week! I stamped directly onto pieces of the Snowflake Splendor designer paper. Did you know it's on sale this month? Check out all 15 packs of paper on sale here....
It's another gorgeous day today in Midland, Michigan. Our high temp for today is 85F with a low of 53F for tonight. The winds are WSW at 20 to 30mph with some higher gusts expected. My share for today is another Alternate Christmas Card that I designed using Stampin' Up!'s Joy of Sharing All-Inclusive Card Kit and Stampin' Up! lots of products. Let's take a look: Now, just how Sweet is this adorable Polar Bear on ice skates!!! 😊😊😊 And, that Baby Polar Bear who is sharing a Christmas Ride and Cheer with his Pa!!! 😊😊😊 I cut one of the 5" x 7" Card Bases from Stampin' Up!'s Joy of Sharing All-Inclusive Card Kit in half. This made two Card Bases to measure 2-1/2" x 3-1/2". I trimmed out a Panel of Mossy Meadow Cardstock to measure 4-1/4" x 5-1/2". I adhered one of the Card Base to the Mossy Meadow Panel with Stampin' Dimensionals. I trimmed out a 3" x 4-1/4" Panel of the Snowflake Pattern in Stampin' Up!'s Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper and adhered it to my Card with Mono Multi Purpose Glue. Using the Pine Woods Dies, I die cut out my Ice Rink from Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper and adhered it to my Card with Mono Multi Purpose Glue. *Tip - I left the upper left corner of the DSP Panel free of adhesive so I could tuck in my Holly Berry Branches. Using the Warm & Toasty Stamp Set, I stamped my Polar Bears in Black Memento Ink onto Shimmery White Cardstock. Using my Stampin' Blends Markers in Light and Dark, I colored my Polar Bear's Ears, Cheeks and Paws with Petal Pink. Using my Stampin' Write Marker in Real Red Ink, I colored the Pa Polar Bear's Scarf as shown in the picture above. I fussy cut out my Polar Bears and adhered the Pa Polar Bear to my Card with Stampin' Dimensionals and I adhered the Baby Polar Bear on its Pa's Back with both Stampin' Dimensionals and Mono Multi Purpose Glue as shown in the picture above. Too Cute!!! 😊😊😊 Using the Warm & Toasty Stamp Set, I stamped the Saying in Real Red Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock. Using the Perfect Parcel Dies, I die cut out my Saying with one of the Small Label Dies. I adhered my Saying to a 1" x 2-1/8" piece of Real Red Cardstock and then to my Card with Mono Multi Purpose Glue as shown in the picture above. *Tip - I left the Edges of the Label and Real Red Cardstock free of adhesive so I could tuck in my Holly Berry Branches. Using the Poinsettia Petals Stamp Set, I stamped the Holly Berry Branches in Black Memento Ink onto Shimmery White Cardstock. I then stamped the Holly Berries onto the Holly Berry Branches in Real Red Ink. Using the coordinating Poinsettia Dies, I die cut out my Holly Branches. I trimmed the Holly Branches into pieces and adhered them onto the Mossy Meadow Panel, under the corner of the Card Base and under the corners of my Saying as shown in the picture above. Pictured above is the inside of my Card. Using the Joy of Sharing Stamp Set from the Kit, I stamped my Saying in Mossy Meadow Ink onto one of the Large Real Red Lined Labels from the Kit and adhered it to the inside of my Card leaving the upper left edge of the Label free of adhesive so I could tuck in my Holly Berry Branch. I adhered another Holly Berry Branch to the upper left corner of my Label. Well, this Card may end up being another that I will have to hang up in my Studio!!! I'll have to quit making Cards that I LOVE so much and can't send out!!! 😊😊😊 Tell someone you LOVE them and/or give someone an AIR HUG today!!! Have a Blessed Day!!! I absolutely love this new card trick--you've got to try it! It uses a paper "braid" which is actually more of a weave, no braiding skills required. Grab yourself some 12 inch long scraps and make it along with me! Isn't it just soooo pretty? This is the PERFECT way to use up your 12 inch paper scraps. You'll need four 1/2 inch by 12 inch strips for each braid, and each braid does one card. Here's a couple more variations I made, all with the Snowflake Splendor papers from Stampin' Up! Stamp sets used: Dove Of Hope Cling Stamp...

Hello stampers and happy Friday to you. Today I have some fun Snowman Treat Holders for you. Those of you who know me also know that I almost never make treat holder kind of things. Truth be told, I have always been a little afraid of making 3-D things. I don't consider myself a logical person, so I shy away from lots of folding and cutting and visualizing. It's probably true with this as with so many other things that practice makes perfect. Snowman Treat Holders I think what really converted me to treat holders is that
