Stampin' Up! Poppy Moments dies and Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper to create this elegant easy to create sympathy card
The Poppy Moments Dies have been a favorite from the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog, and ones I will "always remember." For today's card, the poppies were created with Fancy Flora Designer
That's a mouthful, huh? Poppy Moments, a new set of dies coming on January 3rd, is a beautiful grouping of flower pieces, made to be cut and put together. So today, when I was trying to think of something fun to make, I thought I would cut a bunch of poppies and see what I could do with them. But first...I wanted to play with some Pigment Sprinkles, those little powders that burst into glorious color when added to a water-soaked piece of cardstock. Take a look: This is Granny Apple Green on Watercolor Paper. I spritzed the paper with water, then sprinkled on the Sprinkles, and watched the magic happen. I also did one with the Melon Mambo sprinkles. Then I got busy cutting with the dies: And then I had to make something with it all: Wow! So colorful and lovely! And really quite easy, although it does take time to make the sprinkles-colored page and cut out all the pieces. I used the Painted Poppies stamps to create the background - Smoky Slate, stamped off, on Whisper White. Then I heat-embossed a piece of Vellum with the Peaceful Moments sentiment before mounting it on my card. Finally I pieced together my flowers and leaves; I added Cherry Cobbler and Shaded Spruce to the pieces to give them some definition. I've got lots of leftovers, so you may see more of these cards soon. The Peaceful Poppies Suite is coming January 3rd. Don't miss it! The stamps, dies and especially the Designer Series Paper (which I did not use on this card, but will be showing it this week) will quickly become a favorite! Need a new January-June Mini Catalog? Welcome to the Stamping With Friends New Catalog Blog Hop Make sure you make it all the way through by hitting the Next button - you won't want to miss a thing!!! I saw the split card textures dies in the back of the catalog and knew they had to be on my first order. I could picture them making a great background , especially with any flower. I needed a couple of thinking of you/sympathy cards for my stash so I went that route. Also with it Memorial Day coming up in a week in the US, the red poppy was a perfect flower to use. Red is my favorite color too! I added a pop of rhinestone and parakeet party metallic ribbon to the flowers. Great sparkle amount the flowers and leaves. The new stylish shapes dies worked great for my tag. With a little extra effort I was able to layer the two tag dies together. I love the little holes/dots it makes to create a really cool looking border. And...Look at all the variety of shapes you get. Welcome to the Monthly Art With Heart Creative Showcase. This month the Art With Heart Team have amazing projects to share with you that have been inspired by the card sketch below. The sketch is to be used as a starting point and has been interpreted in many creative ways by the Art With Heart Team. I have used the sketch really quite literally, I think my brain is a little bit fried. How are you all going in this time? The gorgeous Peaceful Moments Bundle is what I decided to use for my card project tonight! It is carrying over to the Annual catalogue but it will not be a bundle and get the 10% discount so if you love it get it now before June 2. From June 3 you will be able to get them but you will have to get them separately. So for this card I used the Peaceful Moments stamp set and the Poppy Moments Dies and if you look very closely at the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper I have used a new embossing folder from the upcoming Annual Catalogue and it is called Tasteful Textiles. I love it and you will too. Claire Daly gave me the idea to put the Designer Series paper through this embossing folder with a card that she did recently and I think you will love doing it too! I have used the colours of the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper to create my poppy: Rich Razzleberry, Flirty Flamingo, Crushed Curry and Mossy Meadow for the leaves all set on a Rich Razzleberry card base. For the banner I thought I would do something a little bit different and stamp the sentiment all the way down in Basic grey ink! The next demonstrator to share her interpretation of the sketch is the fabulous Vicki Boucher and I always love seeing her creations every creative showcase. I am sharing the Painted Poppy Bundle today. I saw it at Stampin’ Up! OnStage in Atlanta last month, and I have seen other demonstrators’ cards. Playing with it myself was still amazing! The front of Stampin' Up!'s January - June 2020 Mini Catalog is filled with poppies - whether they are stamped, painted or die cut, these gorgeous flowers are everywhere. It's no mystery, then, why TWO bundles in the catalog are designed around poppies. I used the Poppy Moments Dies (part

This card is a direct CaSE from the front cover of the Mini Catalogue. I just changed a few things to make it my own. I think my favourite part is the background - I swiped a Whisper White ink pad over the Sahara Sand cardstock, after I'd embosssed it with the Parisian Flourish Embossing Folder. It really brings out the beautiful design, but still looks soft and subtle. The Painted Poppies bundle is cementing itself as a firm favourite. I think it looks gorgeous in any colour! I was glad to have the chance to play along with the sketch at CAS Colours and Sketches today. It's been a little while since I got out the Peaceful Moments bundle. It's easy to forget the great things already on your shelves when there's a new catalogue on the horizon! But the Poppy Moments dies in this bundle are spectacular. I've paired the large layered poppy die with some copper foil and a scrap of watercoloured paper that was left over from another project. The horizontal strip has been embossed using one of the folders from the Greenery pair of folders. For a little variation, I clipped one end of the centre strip with the new, about-to-be-released Banner Pick A Punch. Look out for it in the July-December Mini-catalogue that will be available on 3 August. The sentiment is from Timeless Tulips. If you live in New Zealand and don't have a Stampin' Up Demonstrator, I'd love to be yours. I can help you with ideas, get you catalogues and provide you with Stampin' Up products. Hi stampers! I've got card today straight from the catalog. The bundles are located in the back and have a sample listed with them, which I love! I don't have my new products yet so I've been working with current items that I have. I used the bundle and Peaceful Moments for the sentiment. My flower, buds, and lighter color leaves were all watercolored then cut out. My card base is Purple Posy. This was a fun card and I love the color combos! Happy stamping!
Hello stampers and happy Friday to you. Today I am going to be talking about Peaceful Moments, the stamp set, and peaceful moments with my Tante Nel. How fitting is that? In face, I am thrilled that the poppy suite is in the mini catalog because poppies are the flower that Canadians use to commemorate the supreme sacrifice of life of our soldiers. This year is the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Holland by Canadian soldiers from World War 2 and there will be epic celebrations all over Holland in May and I hope to be here again. Let's

Hi everyone, Well, how was your Easter weekend? I hope you managed to fun despite these very strange circumstances we find ourselves in. My weekend was dominated by taking part in 4 (yes, 4!!) blog hops. Today I am bringing you the video tutorial for one of the cards I featured. And what I forgot to mention at the time is that this is the third card in my series using the Poppy Moments dies. But they look so different on this card than on my previous two! Those of you who have followed me for a while, may be thinking that this card is not my usual style - and you would be right. In fact this card, as I said, was a CASE (Copy And Share Everything) from a pin on Pinterest. And the original image came from Page 5 of the Spring Summer mini catalogue. I had a request from a follower for me to help her recreate this card hence why I made it even though it took me way outside my normal comfort zone! So anyone who would like to do the same, you can watch my tutorial by CLICKING HERE or on the image below: I'll be back over the next few days with video tutorials for the other cards I featured at the weekend - once I have made them that is! A busy few days for me ahead! Please join me for those. Til then, happy crafting, All the products I have used to make this project are available from my online shop.
