Hello stampers! The Control Freaks are back this month and we are sharing some clean and simple creations with all of you! You may just be starting the hop or you may have come from the creative Cindy Elam...either way, be sure to make your way all the way through! If you've been following along with me this week, you'll remember that I shared a card earlier in the week with these beautiful Hues of Happiness blooms. I fussy cut nearly an entire page of these flowers and put them to good use for today's projects. First off we have shades of Flirty Flamingo and Melon Mambo... ...followed by shades of Daffodil Delight and Mango Melody. Next up are Costal Cabana and Pool Party... ...followed by Gorgeous Grape and Fresh Freesia. Each card was embellished with coordinating Glossy Dots and a touch of texture from my favorite Painted Texture 3D embossing folder. I chose a few of my favorite Peaceful Moments sentiments, which were stamped in Memento then, you guess it...fussy cut! It's always so refreshing to create something clean and simple! Hello and welcome! Today I have a bunch (11 to be exact) of quick, easy and very pretty floral cards to share with you. These are for Just Add Ink's newest challenge - probably the easiest ever - Just add Flowers! These cards are all thanks to 3 gorgeous paper prints from the Hues of Happiness pack. They began with a single card I made as a make and take project for an afternoon tea I organised for my lovely team, customers and crafty friends earlier in June. There are 5 elements to the first card & most of the others: Paper strip 1: Watercolour wash look. It even looks like it has texture (14.4 x 2.5cm / 5.75 x 1 inch) Paper strip 2: Flower cluster (14.4 x 4cm / 5.75 x 1-5/8 inches) Paper 3: Flower & leaves - die cut from a single sheet using the Happiness Abounds bundle dies. I bent the flower edges & shapes to give some more shape. Dimensionals around the edge & glue dot in the centre helps give more shape too. Banner: Stylish Shapes die set - largest banner. Love love love these! Sentiments: Front and inside sentiments from the Happiness Abounds stamp set & die bundle, stamped in Basic Gray or Smoky Slate on Basic White base and banner. Sparkle: Iridescent rhinestones finish off the look. Here are the full set of designs in the Hues of Happiness paper pack, and the 3 sheet designs I used to make all these cards. Note: I mostly used the pink & yellow sections for the cards (I cut the sheet in half to start) as I'd cut the pink and yellow flower sheet, however there's another flower sheet with purple and blue flowers that team beautifully with the blue, purple & green section. Anyway onto the whole set together. I laid them out in a progression of elements. Of course there are a ton more ideas you can make with the same pieces. I just stopped when I ran out of cut pieces. They really were quick to make - and I am a pretty slow cardmaker - and would be beautiful bundled up as a gift for a friend or family member. Take a closer look - Click on the pics for an even better look at each of the cards. These show the simple variations in the original designs and colour variations using the 2 different colour schemes in the paper (still just using only one sheet of flowers. More variations - I tried different sentiments from Happiness Abounds and played around with the strip and flower combinations. Number 4 above and first below have some additional Polished Pink cardstock. Nothing goes to waste - the flowers on the top left card below are partial shapes from around the paper edge. Inside I kept it very simple, combining sentiments from Happiness Abounds. You could use another strip or flower if you wanted to step up the design even more, or even stamp a coordinating flower from the bundle. Phew! That's a lot of cards and pics. I am in love with these whole Hues Of Happiness suite. You get a lovely stamp set called Happiness Abounds with great images for coloring as well as awesome dies called Blossoming Happiness dies plus the designer paper is gorgeous. You can use the dies to cut out images in the designer paper which I have done here. I cut four flowers plus leaves all from the designer paper called Hues Of Happiness and popped them up on a piece of white card stock I cut with the detailed die in the die set. I added this to the piece of DSP and a white base. I love how the colors of the DSP show through. Before adding the white to the rest of the card I did stamp the sentiment in Gorgeous Grape ink from the Happiness Abounds set. I finished up with a few Gorgeous Grape pastel pearls. Have you seen the new Hues of Happiness Suite from the new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog? The suite includes the Happiness Abounds Stamp Set with the Blossoming Happiness Dies, the Hues of Happiness 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper and the Glossy Dots Assortment embellishments. These flowers are gorgeous!! Card Details: Pool Party Cardstock card base: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4" White Cardstock layer: 4 3/4" x 3 1/4" Vellum: 4 1/2" x 3" The flowers were cut out from the Hues of Happiness 12 x 12 DSP - I cut the flowers using the Blossoming Happiness Dies and popped them up on the vellum

The new Hues of Happiness DSP from Stampin' Up! was the perfect choice to showcase for this month's Stampin' Friends All About Flowers Blog Hop. These gorgeous blooms have a coordinating stamp and die set, but are so much fun to fussy cut that you can make so many beautiful projects with just the paper! For my card I started with a Thick Basic White top-folding card base, 4.25" x 11" scored at 5.5". I then embossed a Basic White panel (4.25" x 5.5") with the Stitched Greenery Die--a favourite that I am so excited is carrying over into the new catalogue. :) After adding that gorgeous stitching I cut a wedge out of the centre of the panel....this doesn't have to be very precise! I sliced the panel in half diagonally (top left to bottom right), and then from the top half of the panel I cut another diagonal strip off, leaving me with a small gap at the top and a bigger gap at the bottom. I then added a small border of Flirty Flamingo Cardstock to the diagonal edge. I layered a pretty piece of the Hues of Happiness DSP with tiny colourful flowers on the base of my card, and then added my prepared stitched pieces directly on top. All those beautiful blooms are cut right from the DSP! You get two 12x12 sheets with a variety of colour from soft blues and purples through to yellows, pinks and reds. I fussy cut several different blooms and leaves from the DSP and layered them on dimensionals behind a Basic White die cut label from the All That Dies set. I am loving the shape of this label and have used it on pretty much every card I have made with my preorder items so far! The blooms were added to my card base with more dimensionals--I may be obsessed with layers! I mixed in some more carrying-forward products to complete my card: The Peaceful Moments Stamp Set for my sentiment (stamped in Black Memento ink), and the Brushed Brass Butterflies embellishments. My 3D project with month is a May Flower Cone. I used a full sheet of pretty paper from the Hues of Happiness DSP pack and wrapped it into a cone shape. I used a regular hole punch to add my ribbon hanger, and I also added two holes to the front of my cone so I could tie on my tag. The tag is cut from Thick Basic White cardstock with the largest die from the Tailor Made Tags set. I fussy cut some more blooms and leaves from the Hues of Happiness DSP and added them to the end of my tag with dimensionals, along with some additional Brushed Brass Butterflies. I added a pretty frayed bow made from the soon-to-be-retired Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon--get it while you can (and while it's on sale)!! Thank you for stopping by today, I hope you enjoyed my project! Hello there, happy Thursday! Hope you're having a good week so far! Today is Cassidy's last day of school, so my days will be filled with trying to keep her occupied for the summer, LOL! I can see lots of pool time in my future...and reading! Can't wait! I have a thank you card today using the Hues of Happiness DSP....you can't go wrong with it! I paired it with some Melon Mambo DSP and here's what I came up with: The Blossoming Happiness dies make it so easy to cut out those gorgeous blooms; I placed this one in a Scalloped Contour diecut on which I used a Blending Brush to add a little Blushing Bride ink. It's pretty faint but I love the subtlely of it: I couldn't resist using that notepaper edge die in the set too....adds a bit of fun, and a couple of In Color Gems added some sparkle. The sentiment is from Shaded Summer, and the sketch is from Inspire.Create: And it's on its way, winging to its recipient! Thanks for stopping in today!
