April 10, 2020 I got happy mail this week! I opened up a decorated envelope to see this absolute beauty! Peg is one of my sweet friends I stamp with on Fridays each month. She is just one of the ni…
Hello stampers! Daisies are a happy flower and are always in style. In the paper crafting world if there is lovely flower and a punch to match, that is indeed a fabulous combination. Meet Daisy Lane and Daisy Delight, two stamp sets in the upcoming catalogue. Daisy Delight is an old favourite and Daisy Lane is the new kid on the block. Both sets coordinate with the Daisy punch which I am using today. There is also a new punch coming and it is a smaller daisy so you can make even more different flowers (I am thinking gerberas). Do
#loveitchopit Daisy Delight gets to sport one of the new embellishments called Perennial Essence Floral Centers. They have great dimension but I wanted it to lie a little flatter, so I pulled off the bottom part of the embellishment and glued it on with Tombow. The Subtle Embossing Folder adds texture to the band across the middle and the Garden Lane Designer Series Paper adds a lot of brightness with the white amongst all the green. The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Greetings which was stamped onto a punch out from the Classic Label Punch. I tucked it to the edge and added another punched piece to the other side to continue the white line. Here is a group picture of all the cards made with the Garden Lane paper. And below is a pic and deets on the Perennial Essence Floral Centers Perennial Essence Floral Centers 149442 Price: $8.25 Perennial Essence Floral Centers are adhesive-backed fuzzy yellow centres for completing your stamped or punched flowers. * 18 pieces * 3/8" (1 cm) All the lovely patterns in the Garden Lane Designer Series Paper. I’m sharing a few projects created by some of my very talented Stampin’ Up! team members with you all today.
Daisy Lane strikes again Daisy Lane strikes again, this time with flowers attached to stems! The Daisy Lane Stamp Set has a variety of images that work nicely together. Looking at my cards, I made one card showcasing three flowers and the other card, showcased 2 flowers. I had a hard time finding a spot for the sentiment with the 3 flowers so by eliminating one, I was able to add a greeting. Blackberry Bliss I decided to use Blackberry Bliss on the flowers and I am thrilled I did. I haven't used this color in quite some
Taking another short break from fall and Halloween... and sharing a fun tip for you when you stamp the Daisy punch! I think Cindee taught me this tip... Stamp the Daisy Delight daisy image first, then sponge ink in a circular motion onto the stamped image with a sponge dauber, then punch. It's such an easy way to add color to the daisy!! Then, for added dimension, it's fun to curl the petals with a bone folder, add Wink of Stella, and layer 2 or 3 punched images together, then add the Faceted Gem to the center!!
Hello my Crafty Friends Today I want to share with you the pretty Gingham Gala patterned papers, these super simple cards show off the beauty of these papers that sadly are not carrying over to the Annual, so there is only a few weeks left to grab yourself a pack of these beauties! I made […]
Where I come from daisies grow wild alongside the roads.....at the edge of the fields.......or along a fence line. I don't know anyone who actually plants daisies....they just sort of appear on their own! Where I come from this traffic light (about a mile north of my house) is the last light you encounter before you cross "The Blue Line".....meaning you have entered the Adirondack Mountains. A few miles later you would arrive at the Great Sacandaga Lake (where our camp is) and a few more miles puts you in Hamilton County which is larger than the state of Rhode Island. 1800 square miles - give or take - and not one traffic light in the whole county! Where I come from driving south will take you to "civilization" but for some reason we always seem to head north............. I used the new SU sets Daisy Delight and Beautiful Bouquet to create my card today along with that gorgeous Delightful Daisy DSP. Karren Johnson my amazingly talented friend from the other side of the planet (wonder how many traffic lights between here and New Zealand?) designed this curvy sketch for us this week at Freshly Made Sketches! Hope you join us!

Hello and thanks for stopping by! Today I am super-excited to be sharing the my card using the Daisy Lane Bundle for Kylie Bertucci’s International Stampin’ Up!® Blog Highlights. This is my second month participating in this event and you are able to vote for me and my card! The top ten winners will take part in an international blog hop later this month. You can vote by clicking here: http://bit.ly/KyliesInternationalHighlightsAugustVoteForMe The theme for this event is Encouragement so I decided to create some cards to send to friends, just because. This weekend, there was so much tragedy here in the United States with two horrific shootings in Texas and Ohio. Just heartbreaking. I think it’s so, so important to share some “happy” with those you know whenever you can. Receiving a handmade card in the mail with a positive and uplifting message might be just the thing someone needs to make their day a little brighter. We all can use more HAPPY MAIL, right? When I create in my stamp studio, I tend to always gravitate toward bright colors as my first choice. For these cards, I wanted to try a color combo with more of a “shabby chic” feel to it. Once I decided on the colors, I added accents to really stay in that theme, like the pearl accents, lace trim and embossed background. I also sponged Crumb Cake ink all over the embossed background and around the edges of the sentiment layer to give it more of a distressed/weathered look. These cards have a lot of texture and dimension, which I totally love. Today’s Colors: Crumb Cake Petal Pink Soft Suede Pear Pizzazz The daisy was created using three different stamp sets and four different punches. The two large daisies are stamped in Crumb Cake ink on Petal Pink cardstock using the Daisy Lane stamp set and punched with the Daisy Punch. The smaller daisy is stamped in Crumb Cake ink on Petal Pink Vellum (from the Perennial Essence Vellum Cardstock pack) and them punched using the Medium Daisy Punch. When stamping on vellum, just make sure you give plenty of time for the ink to dry. The leaves were stamped in Pear Pizzazz ink on Petal Pink cardstock using the Painted Harvest stamp set and then punched with the coordinating Leaf Punch. The center of the flower was stamped and heat embossed in gold using the Daisy Delight stamp set and the punched using a 1/2” Circle Punch. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals between all of the layers on the flower but you could always forgo a few if you wanted it to have a little less dimension to mail. Card Measurements: Crumb Cake Card Base - 4-1/4” x 11”, scored at 5-1/2” Soft Suede Cardstock - 4” x 5-1/4” Petal Pink Cardstock (embossed with Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder) - 3-7/8” x 5-1/8” Crumb Cake Cardstock (for stamped sentiment) - 1” x 3-7/8” Scraps of Petal Pink Cardstock and Petal Pink Vellum (from Perennial Essence Vellum Cardstock pack) for stamped and punched daisies and leaves Petal Pink Cardstock (inside card) - 4” x 5-1/4” Very Vanilla Cardstock (inside card) - 3-7/8” x 5-1/8” Finally a look inside the card. I added an uplifting sentiment and some leafy accents using the stamps from the Daisy Lane stamp set. I can’t wait to get these cards in the mail! I actually switched up the colors a little using this design for my team swaps this month, so I’ll be making quite a few more of these cards really soon. Thanks so much for visiting today and I’d love it if you would vote for my card! Happy Sunday and Happy Mother’s Day to the mothers out there! I hope you are able to enjoy the day despite the current situation. I know I would probably be on Cape Cod right now having lunch with my mother-in-law, but instead we are FaceTiming today. For my card today I am saying farewell to the Daisy Delight stamp set and Country Floral Embossing Folder. I saw a card earlier this week from the Stampin’ Up! home office where they sponged the background and had a frame around the focal point so that is my inspiration for today’s card. Here is a closer look at the stamp set: Measurements: Petal Pink card base - 5 ½” x 8 ½”, score in half at 4 ¼ Petal Pink cardstock – 4” x 5 ¼” Whisper White cardstock – 2” x 4” – two pieces Petal Pink cardstock – 1 ½” x 3 ½” Ribbon – 10” piece I am offering make and take packets for orders in my Online Store with host code DNHCGY4J this month. If you spend over $25 you will receive three make & takes featuring the Peaceful Poppies DSP. Please note these will be card packets and will not include stamped images. Black-eyed Susans are blooming all around here right now, and they always make me smile when I see them. I knew that I could duplicate them using the Daisy Lane stamp set, coordinating Medium Daisy Punch, and Perennial Essence Floral Centers, so this was one of the cards we made in Saturday's Stamp Club. Start by dyeing the fuzzy flower centers with an Early Espresso ink pad. Grab the adhesive dimensional on the back side with tweezers and press the fuzzy side onto the ink pad several times to get the coverage you want. Set aside to dry, or dry with a Heat Tool on the low setting. Stamp four of the medium daisies in Daffodil Delight ink on Daffodil Delight cardstock and punch them out with the Medium Daisy Punch. Glue one daisy over the other, offsetting the petals, so that you have two complete daisies. Stamp the daisy stem twice on the DSP using Mossy Meadow ink, and color with a Light Mossy Meadow Stampin' Blend marker. Stamp the greeting in Early Espresso, adhere the DSP to the card base and glue the daisies on. Add the fuzzy centers, and a few Noble Peacock Rhinestones, and you're done! REMINDER - I am having a special this month for anyone who orders the Daisy Lane stamp set OR the Daisy Lane Bundle. Place your order before June 30th, and use the host code NYGAAWEK to receive a pack of Perennial Essence Floral Centers from me! If your order is $150 or more don't use the host code because you will get Stampin' Rewards AND still receive the floral centers from me!
