Welcome to the PDF download (via Google Drive) for my version of the inner part of the Colour Wheel in the 2024-2025 Stampin Up Catalogue. I'm so pleased to say that Stampin Up have given permission for me to share this. Instructions: Download the PDF from Google Drive and save to your computer Print off or copy the page from the catalogue that you will attach the inner circle to. This is page 132 of the catalogue. I would suggest that you download the digital version of the catalogue to print from however a photocopy may be fine to use too. Use Basic White Thick cardstock for this and the inner circle so that they are sturdy. Print the PDF at 120%, as this should fit the page in your catalogue correctly. You may want to play with this scaling a little to suit however this worked just fine for me on my HP printer. Cut out the circle and then use a scapel to cut away the black areas to create windows for you to see through. Use a split pin to join through the centre of both the larger and smaller circle. This is what your printed wheel should look like - you can keep it as an A4 like I have or have it cut into a circle like the one that was gifted to Demonstrators - the choice is all yours! The link is HERE I'm really hoping this actually works and that you will enjoy using this until such time as an official one is available for purchase. Please take the time to go back to my first YouTube video explaining colour theory to fully understand how to use this great tool. If you have any questions or need help with yours, please send me an email using the contact form on my blog. Whilst you are here, please leave some love on my blog and be sure to pop back again soon to see what else I've been up to. Happy Stamping, Rachael xx
Do you have a pile of pre-cut items already on your craft desk? Me too! For this project, I challenged myself to use them. Using the In Colors of Soft Succulent and Polished Pink, with Very Vanilla, the project came together with items I had already cut or stamped. The Stitched Greenery Die provides the […]
It's been a very long time since I played along with a sketch challenge, this week I finally got back into that swing of things with the Mojo Monday sketch. When my order from the new catalogue arrived last week I immediately noticed that one of the stamps from the Watercolor Wings could fit on some of the butterflies of the Fluttering embossing folder. I thought this sketch would suit highlighting that, so the rest of the card fell into place around that focal point. To really emphasise the butterfly I sponged some Pink Pirouette ink over the raised butterfly. Here are the colours I played with for this card: Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog
For last week’s Card & (Your) Cuppa, I designed a halloween project where the layout could be used for a non-halloween card too. I chose Halloween colours of Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie and Mango Melody, along with Basic White. The background is made using the starburst technique. I’ll be doing a quick video on how […]
Today I’m sharing my recent customer Thank You cards. I chose to use a colour combination of Fresh Freesia, Old Olive and Very Vanilla. The images are from the Quiet Meadow Stamp Set from the Annual Catalogue. First, the background is stamped using the ‘splat’ image in various generations of stamping. Next, the flower image […]

Today I’m sharing another of my Quiet Meadow Bundle (Quiet Meadow Stamp Set and Meadow Dies) cards. This is a quick and easy project as it uses repetitive stamping of one image with quick colouring. You can then add your sentiment and as many extra embellishments as you like! Mine is a combination of Petal […]
I thought it was time to play with the Turtle Friends Bundle (Turtle Friends Stamp Set & Turtle Punch) again. This time, I’ve paired it with the Picture This Dies and the FREE SAB Penguin Playmates DSP. There are some non-penguin patterns on the reverse side that are great for lots of different projects. These […]
It’s my favourite time of the month again. It’s when I make and send Thank You cards to the fabulous customers who have supported my business during the previous month. August’s customers will have hopefully now received these cards I made using the fabulous Comfort & Hope Stamp Set. I was sad when some of […]
Evening all, I have been preparing all of the materials for my coffee and craft afternoon tomorrow. We are going to be using the Lotus Blossom stamp set which as you will have seen from one of my previous posts (Click here is you missed it) is a lovely 3 step stamp set which allows you to create gorgeous results in 3 easy steps. I have been having a play around with colour combinations and the order of stamping and I thought I would share my results with you. I have made the pictures large for this post so that hopefully you'll be able to see the colour combinations I have used. The first two photos have the same colour combinations but have been stamped in a different order. I found that to achieve the best results step 1 needed to be the first impression (ie straight from ink pad to paper), step 2 needed to be second impression (ie stamp it onto scrap paper first) and step 3 also needed to be second impression. The only exceptions to this are Pink Pirouette which is so light it needs to be first impression, Blackberry Bliss which can be a little dark even after stamping on scrap paper first and if you are only using one colour to create your flower make sure you stamp the step 3 onto scrap paper twice so that there is enough contrast between step two and three. In this first picture I have followed the 1-2-3 order that is on the stamp set. When looking for inspiration for lotus blossom cards several people have said to stamp them in reverse order (3-2-1) which is what I have done in this second picture. I personally prefer the 1-2-3 images as I find it a lot easier to line them up if the darkest image is already on the paper plus I'm not sure if you can see from the photos but those done in reverse order don't have as much definition and detail. Some of the colour combinations don't show the detail at all well in this order. This is just my personal opinion so experiment and see what works best for you. This final picture is just a couple of extra colour combinations I played with after completing the charts. I saw a card on Stampin' Connection where the demo had used black ink, Pacific Point and Tempting Turquoise for a three colour flower, I really liked this colour combination and decided to give it a go with purples as well. I think it turned out well and have decided to show this one tomorrow afternoon. Let me know what your favourite colour combination is, are there any you use that aren't on my sheets? Happy New Year everyone! Hopefully there aren't any of you regretting being so much of a party animal this morning... which leads me to todays card, another look at the Balloon Builders set from the Occasions catalogue - which launches tomorrow! You may have noticed in the Occasions catalogue there is already a lot of inspiration for this set: When I returned home from OnStage - where everyone received this set - I decided to see what other animals and things I could come up with: Yeah, I think this set is going to be a lot of fun! Normally I have a vision in my head of the card I want to make before I start - though things often get changed along the way. For this card I made it up as I went along. Working from my sheet of test stamping, I replicated the horse for my card, stamping the ballons on Whisper White cardstock with Crumb Cake ink. I then used So Saffron and Calypso Coral on the long and short skinny balloons respectively, stamping the images in a rough circle to create the sun rays. The sentiment was stamped on So Saffron cardstock with Calypso Coral ink then punched with a 1 1/4" circle punch. I laid it in position without adhesive so I knew where I wanted to trim the top edge, and once trimmed I attached it to the cardfront with a couple of dimensionals. We in the UK have woken up to news that will either delight or devastate, depending on which way you voted in the European referendum. Whatever your thoughts on the outcome, the deed is now done. And while the future is uncertain, some things in life will not change. It will still rain on Bank Holidays (although the sun is shining for now), cats are still delightful (although come back tomorrow for a counter-argument) and stamping will still act as a great uniter of nations (no argument there). So here’s some stamping to make your day brighter/even brighter* using a new stamp set, the name of which I cannot get to stick in my brain. Blooms & Wishes, that’s it. There are a few of these washy, painterly floral sets in the catalogue and it took me a while to choose between them. In the end I decided that this one would be the most useful to me and it turns out to be the most popular, among my stamping team at least. I absolutely loved the colour combination on the samples in the catalogue (page 139), which probably influenced my decision somewhat. As you’ve probably guessed, I have now come round to Sweet Sugarplum, which is my favourite of the new In Colors. I decided to emulate the catalogue colour combo here, with a slight change of green (SU used Mint Macaron) and addition of Crumb Cake to dirty it up a bit. I confess this is not my kind of colour combination at all. I like my colours dark and dirty, but needs must. It is, after all, Mix It Up Monday and time for another project made with a colour combination from my latest set of In Color charts. I set myself the challenge of creating a project using the new Paisleys & Posies stamp set - again, not my style at all, but it’s good to get out of your rut now and again! It’s Mix It Up Monday and time for another colour combination from my In Color charts. It’s a holiday here in the UK so let’s hope the weather holds (it never does for bank holidays though!). Another outing for Oh My Goodies and the matching Decor Labels Framelts, along with my most-used punches – the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack – before they are gone for good. Plus there’s the Color Me Irresistible Designer Series Paper, too – this is a lovely mix of embossed papers, half in In Colors and half in white so you can colour them yourself. I’ve used Watermelon Wonder here, to fit in with my colour combination. I struggled a little with this as I don’t have a Mossy Meadow marker, so I compromised with a pool of ink from a refill bottle, and a blender pen. It’s a bit smudgy but it’ll do. Only one Mix It Up Monday project left to go from this set of charts – phew! Hello and welcome, My name is Vicki Boucher, and I am from Melbourne, Australia. Tonight, is the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI165 this photo was chosen by Colour INKspiration Crew Member, Jan. This inspiration photo is stunning with those pink dahlia flowers. The chosen colour combination for #CI165 is Petal Pink, Peach Pie and Shy Shamrock. As well as the chosen colours you may also like to add Basic White, Very Vanilla, Basic Beige, Crumb Cake, Basic Black and metallics to your project. We also allow 'Ivory', 'Bronze' and 'Natural Tones' in the Stampin' Blends. If you don't have all the colour palette, feel free to use the closest SU substitute (ie: Calypso Coral instead of Peach Pie.... for example). The challenge will run for almost 2 weeks until 7pm (AEST) on Monday 20th May 2024 details to follow at the end of my blog. These challenge colours say a flower card to me, but I wanted to do something different instead, so I used the Attention Shoppers bundle (163644) which includes the stamp set and coordinating dies. This is a new bundle in the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue 2024-25 and I just love the line art drawings of the stamped images. Attention Shoppers bundle (163644) I stamped the images in Black Memento ink onto Basic White Cardstock and coloured the images in with the challenge colours Stampin' Blends. Next, I die-cut out the images using the Attention Shoppers Dies. I also used Peach Pie In Color Shimmer Specialty Paper for the upper part of the trolley and Silver Foil for the lower part of the trolley. I kept the card clean by adding a thin strip of Peach Pie In Color 6"x 6" Designer Series Paper (163777) and also as a base layer under Basic White Cardstock card front. I hope I've inspired you with the latest challenge and I do hope you'll join in. We so look forward to seeing a variety of projects using the challenge colours. Please ensure that your project is new and made specifically for this challenge. Upload only one picture per entry straight to the discussion wall and not in an album Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI165 will run until 7pm (ADET) on Monday 20th May 2024.
