Hello & welcome! Today I have a sweet & fun card to share with you - my Just Add Ink Design Team project for this week's colour challenge and made for my darling man. It's a very supply friendly card, combining the cute & new to me Badger Besties stamp set with my well used fave, Biggest Wish, plus ink and card in Polished Pink and Soft Succulent. Some gold Gilded Leafing adds a luxe touch. And no dies or punches were needed - surprise! Here's my finished card. Let's start with the cute badger pair. I stamped two of the three badger images in the set with Memento black ink and coloured them using my Watercolour Pencils (black, gray & white). I didn't wet the image as I was trying to create the look of fur/hair (do badgers have fur or hair?). Then some fussy cutting & grumbling commenced as I'm a bit rusty, but I got there in the end. To create the background I stamped a cluster of both 'happy' sentiments in the Biggest Wish set. All the block letter images were stamped off first onto scrap. The script 'happy' is full strength. The cluster of words was inspired by the messy grid paper on my desk which had image tests from one of my World Card Making Day projects. Inspiration is everywhere I tell you. Check out Instagram to see what I worked on. The strips of coloured card anchor the badgers on the card, and the gold Gilded Leafing added touches of lovely shine. This was my first play with the leafing and oh my goodness what a mess I made. It does add a nice touch though don't you think? Inside is very simple, replicating the pink strip & stamp cluster, but it all adds to the coordination. So that's my take on the colour challenge. I hope my darling man loves his card as much as I enjoyed making it. Remember to check out the Just Add Ink blog to see all the beautiful cards created by the Team. It's always fun to see how everyone uses the same colours. Thanks for visiting today and I hope my card has given you some ideas to try. While indulging myself with some free craft time after completing the cutting of next week's class kits, and completing a card for another challenge, I rolled with the flow and turned to Just Add Ink for further inspiration. When I looked at the image, I saw one of the new In-Colours, Pale Papaya, and ran with that along with a touch of Bumblebee. I've also included two of the other new In-Colours, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen. I reached for what is fast becoming a new go-to set for me: the Quiet Meadow bundle, which is available from 3 May. As the photo had strong vertical lines, I used a strip of Pale Papaya DSP along the edge. I used the 2021-23 In-Colour Stampin' Write markers, and Bumblebee from the 2020-22 collection, to colour the floral image from Quiet Meadow and stamped that. I added some extra tiny flowers in Bumblebee and Pale Papaya, as well as the script stamp, then some splatters in Soft Succulent. The other part of the bundle is the Meadow dies and they are the most amazing floral dies, rather like large silhouettes. I've cut two cornflowers and the fern foliage and sponged them in Bumblebee, Pale Papaya and Soft Succulent and arranged them over the stamped imagery. The sentiment, and sentiment label, are also from the same bundle. To finish, I've added in three of the new In-Colour gems, these ones in Evening Evergreen. All of these products: DSP, stamps, dies and inks, and embellishments will be available from 3 May. If you live in New Zealand, please message me - or visit my online store by clicking SHOP NOW in the sidebar - if you want to get some. You can contact me through any of the methods in the Contacts tab at the top of the page. If you don't live in New Zealand, contact your local Stampin' Up! demonstrator.

Hello there stamping friends! Welcome and thanks for joining me on my blog today. Today I'm participating in a blog hop for CASE-ing the Catty, to kick off the new challenge for the week. If you've come here from Peta's blog welcome, if you've started here with me also welcome. To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit. And this week we are CASE-ing our choice of sketches that are found on Pg. 22 of the Stampin' Up! 2024 - 2025 Annual Catalogue. There are 22 sketches so I'm sure there is at least one that inspires you. If you've been following me here for a while you'll know that I love a sketch challenge. I think because I find them the easiest of all the challenges and I usually get a whole heap of different ideas flowing so its easy to get crafting with a sketch. I also say that a sketch is more of a guide or starting point and I usually end up changing something from the sketch. I try to keep the basic design principles of the sketch but sometimes things need to be changed to suit the project better. I was really drawn to this grid like sketch when trying to decide on what sketch I was going to use. I wanted to use one of the sketches that was a little bit of a different design as to what I normally do when creating cards and this was it. I've used the grid design to create my own background using strips of Basic Black and Basic White. I do love a Black and White stripe and thought that this would go perfectly with the orange colourings of the oranges from the Mediterranean Blooms DSP. I've made a couple of projects recently with Blue and White combined with the Mediterranean Blooms Citrus images, which I love but I'm also loving this black and white colour combo with the citrus images too. I've used a few layers of Basic White under the striped grid and then fussy cut the orange image to make it the main focus of the card. I love that with these images they are the 'star of the show' and you don't need to put much else with them if you don't want to. Me, of course, had to add some extra die cuts and some ribbon and trim. A card isn't a card without these things in my book. I've layered one of the Citrus Blooms foliage die cuts, Linen thread and the Black & Very Vanilla Large Check to coordinate with the card. Can't go without that Linen Thread. I finished the card off with a little 'Hello' banner with a ruffled ribbon edge and some Opal Rounds embellishments. This is where I differ from the sketch a little. A banner placed on the card like in the sketch just wouldn't work in my book but put on the card down a little bit is a much better placement. I hope that I've inspired you with my take on this sketch and make sure you check out all the sketches on Pg. 22 of the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. These sketches are a great way to get that crafting mojo going especially if you are in a crafting slump. Why not try an use all 22?! There are lots of AMAZING creations from the rest of the CASE-ing the Catty Crew so be sure to make your way around the whole hop to get inspiration from the CTC team. Next up on the hop is Michelle Strazds with her amazing take on one of the sketches. Keep hopping around to see all of the design team’s creations. We would love to have you join us over at our Facebook group to share your creation CASE-ing a project from the 2024 - 2025 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue and join in this weeks challenge. Here is the third new 2021-2023 in colour called Pale Papaya. Pale Papaya is a light orange shade that fits more with the oranges than I have shown in the comparison above. To showcase Pale Papaya I have again used the Colour & Contour stamp set and dies bundle. I used the scallop border dies to cut the edge of a piece of 2021-2023 In Colour DSP. This was mounted on a Thick Basic White card base. I stamped a greeting from the Etched in Nature stamp set in Pale Papaya. I stamped and die cut the daisy image three times and arranged them on the front of the card. Before I attached the flowers I wrapped a piece of the Open Weave Ribbon around the card front. I will be back tomorrow with the fourth new In Colour - Evening Evergreen. Thanks for visiting, Rachel

There are so many amazing and wonderful new products in Stampin' Up!'s 2021 Annual Catalog! By the time you get to page 162, you might find yourself exhausted by all the wonderful, new things you've spotted and added to your wish list. You can't stop there, though, because there are
I could not stop playing with the new Bloom Where You're Planted suite with the Plentiful Plants stamp and coordinating dies. They have this fun boho look to them that I am trying to get in my newly finished rec room. I am now hooked on the HGTV show with the twins from Unsellable Houses!! These cards remind me of how they decorate, 🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿 This first set has a Cinnamon Cider mat layer and details. That cute wood paneling back ground is included in the Bloom Where You'r Planted DSP pack. The Thank You sentiment is from the Pansy Patch set and made from the Double Oval Punch. I also used one of the small pots from the Welcoming Window stamp set. Some of the plants are stamped and die cut and some are fussy cut from the Bloom Where You're Planted DSP. The Dear Friend card uses the Hippo & Friends Dies to make the shaped frame. I used an old retired embellishment for the top of the hanger -the copper colored element worked well. 🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿 The second set uses the black and white DSP from the Hostess Awards, Pattern Play - this can be earned with Stampin' Rewards by hosting a party or placing an order with $180 in sales. I love this paper because one side of the paper are some wonderful colored patterns that seem to coordinate with many of the stamp sets in this catalog and the other side are all black and white patterns which go with anything!! Again, with the hanging plant card - I used the Hippo & Friends dies for the black background piece. The Just a note sentiment is from a very old Sale-a-bration stamp called Home to Roost, The window card uses the Window Flower Box dies for the window frame. I just backed that with a piece of Basic White that I used my blender brush and Balmy Blue Ink on to make it look like a bit of sky out the window! This also used a small pot die from the Window Flower Box dies, the succulent plant in the middle is fussy cut from the Bloom Where You're Planted DSP. The sentiment is from the Sweet Strawberry stamp set. After planting a bunch of real plants in the yard and my patio pots - I can say this was much less messy and a lot more fun!! I hope you enjoyed these cards! 🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿 If this is your type of gardening too - my shop is open 24/7!! Just click here! The Connect, Craft & Collect promotion runs through June 14th where you can earn an additional $25 worth of free products with a $250 order - on top of the $25 Stampin' Rewards you normally get - so that would be $50 in free merchandise!! If you really like to shop and want to take advantage of Demonstrator Discounts - consider joining my TEAM!! We have an active and fun team! The Join + promotion is only thru May 31st - so time is running out on this great deal. For $99 you join as a Demonstrator and recieve $155.00 in products of your choice as a starter kit.
