Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew's Bottled Happiness edition! The "Crew" is a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. If you landed here from Mike's blog, welcome! There are five of us today, so the hop won't take long, but I'm sure it will be fun! Bottled Happiness is a thirteen piece photopolymer stamp set, and it has a matching Vintage Bottle Punch that can be bundled with it to save 10%. There are also some adorable little Vintage Bottle Shaker Domes and Effervescent Elements (pg. 16 in the AC) to make shaker cards, which is what I did for my first card. This went together so quickly, I was surprised! I started with a Merry Merlot card base and used a Blending Brush with Merry Merlot to create the background with two of the Artistic Mix Decorative Masks. After punching the bottle in Basic White, I used Stampin' Write Markers (Merry Merlot, Polished Pink, Melon Mambo, and Granny Apple Green) to ink the two-step stamps and stamped above the bottle. Adding the shaker dome was easy with the adhesive already to go on both sides...just adhere the bottle into the opening, add the shaker elements and a piece of Window Sheet to hold them in place, then pop it up on the card! The next card uses the piece that I punched out from the first card. Photopolymer stamps made it easy to stamp exactly where I wanted using Evening Evergreen. After the bottle was stamped, I pressed it onto a VersaMark pad and heat embossed with clear powder so it looked like glass. The background bottles were stamped in Soft Succulent. I cut down a strip of Natural Finish Ribbon to use behind the greeting and frayed the ends a bit. Speaking of the greeting, I was soooo tempted to add an S at the end, what with all those bottles in the background. 😄 The wine label was stamped in Crumb Cake and Evening Evergreen. I think that color combination is so perfect together! I was feeling the holiday spirit (see what I did there? Heh.) when I made this last card. The need for glitz and glimmer overtook me! I started with the Lights Aglow Specialty Paper and used the colors as inspiration. The background bottle was stamped in Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen, then diluted Crumb Cake ink spatters were added, along with a few stars & sparkles from the Christmas Lights stamp set. Originally the sprigs were going to be Crumb Cake, but I though gold greenery (goldery?) would look better. And to really make the card pop, a fussy cut Merry Merlot bottle to hold them. That's all I have to share for today, so click "Next" to see what Charlet created, or "Previous" to visit Mike again! Sneak Peet of card idea using Stampin' Up! Bottled Happiness Stamp Set
This card was created to show you how beautiful the Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper (DSP) really is. If you haven't ordered it, what are you waiting for? It's gorgeous paper and coordinates well with a variety of cardstock you have on hand. Polished Pink was used as the card base. The basic white cardstock is embossed using the Pretty Flowers embossing folder. This is the prettiest embossing folder, so elegant. Absolutely love how colorful, vibrant and cheery this card is. The envelope flap was covered with this beautiful DSP also. A great way to pretty-up your envelope! I love the Bottled Happiness stamp set! I created this beautiful bouquet using Stampin' Write markers, coloring on the stamp itself and "huff" your breath a few times onto the stamp before pressing onto the paper. The colors I used were Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Polished Pink, Blushing Bride and Melon Mambo. Definitely had to play around with this a bit, as this is a two-step stamping process and lining up the flowers were a little tricky. After several attempts, I finally got it! The Stitched Rectangle and Layering Circle dies were also used. Polished Pink open weave ribbon was knotted and added on the jar. The sentiment was adhered with dimensionals and the card was finished off with Opal Rounds embellishments. The inside of the card has more layers and the stamped image was created the same way as the bouquet, using Stampin' Write markers and a little "huff" onto the stamp before pressing onto the basic white cardstock. Card Measurements: Cardstock Base - Polished Pink - 5 1/4 x 4 Basic White Cardstock - 5 1/4 x 4, embossed DSP - 2 3/4 x 4 Rectangle Stitched Dies - the one measuring approximately 2 3/4 x 4, or use a die cut to fit any image you choose Mat this onto Polished Pink cardstock Inside card: DSP - 5 1/4 x 4 Basic White - 5 x 3 3/4 Thanks for stopping by today! I love when a simple card becomes a smorgasbord that showcases a variety of products from a variety of Stampin' Up! releases. The card I'm sharing today combines two stamp sets and embellishments from the 2023 Annual Catalog that are soon retiring with two Designer Series Paper panels and a
Good Morning Everyone Happy Monday, I hope you have had a fabulous weekend. We have a four day weekend thanks the the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. 70 years on the Throne - that's some feat! So, we have been very busy enjoying the time. But it's back to it again, 1 full working week and then we are off on our Holidays! Woo Hoo. We cannot wait, it's been a while since we've been away, and It will be the first as a family of four! So it's nose to the grindstone this week to make sure I'm up to date. Please keep your fingers crossed for me haha. As it's a Monday, I want to share with you my entry for this week's Brand New Creative Colour Challenges Combo. I love this combo and I can see it working with all sorts of designs. I've used the Bottled Happiness stamp set to create a sweet greeting card. Measurements Crushed Curry Card Stock 1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8" 1pc - scrap Bermuda Bay Card Stock 1pc - scrap Shaded Spruce Card Stock 1pc - scrap Basic White Card Stock 2pc - 5 3/8" x 3 5/8" --------------------------------------------- Take the Crushed Curry Card Stock and fold along the score line to create your card base, add one of the Basic White pieces to the inside. Stamp the tall bottle in Crushed Curry ink onto the same colour card scrap. Also stamp the shorter bottles in both Bermuda Bay and Shaded Spruce - Fussy Cut the bottles (or you can use the punch for the tall bottle). Arrange these onto your remaining piece of basic white card stock (do not stick down) to get an idea of positioning. Ink up the flower cluster in Crushed Curry and stamp in the centre so it looks to be coming out of the tall central bottle. Use the leaves cluster to fill in the other details in Shaded Spruce. For this step take your time to line up the stamps, I found that I need to get my head right over the stamp to get my alignment correct - but you could your your Stamparatus. Now, make a small pencil mark where the top of the shorter bottles will sit and then stamp the foliage image so that it sit 'in' the bottles and goes off the either side around the larger bunch. Once the ink is dried, rub out the pencil line. Ink up the sentiment in Shaded Spruce ink and pop at the top of the card stock. Add this panel to the card front and then add the bottles with liquid glue and dimensionals to create some depth. I hope you enjoyed my card today, and the Colour Combo I used. Good Morning Everyone I hope you have all had a fabulous weekend - the weather has been absolutely glorious so we have spent a lot of time outside - playing in the Garden and going on some lovely walks. It's set to be another Sunny week, so let's hope we can all enjoy it some more! Today I'm sharing my card for this week's Brand New Creative Colour Challenges colour combo. I love the mix of Mossy Meadow, Polished Pink and Gay Granite and can see so many possibilities. I have used the bouquet of flowers from the Bottled Happiness to create a bold background for my card, adding in a bit of the Polished Pink ribbon and a wonderful Sentiment from Lovely You. Measurements Gray Granite Card Stock 1pc - 5 7/8" x 8 1/4", scored at 4 1/8" 1pc - scrap Basic White Card Stock 2pc - 5 7/8" x 3 7/8" 1pc - scrap ------------------------------------- Take the Gray Granite card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base. Add one of the Basic White piece of the inside. On the remaining piece of basic white stamp the flower images to create your background. The stamp is a two step stamp. You have one which is mainly flowers which I stamped in Polished Pink, and one which is the leaves and foliage that I stamped in Mossy Meadow ink. I found it easily to stamp one full bouquet first before moving onto the next, just so you could get your spacing right and not have any overlapping. Once the piece of card is full of flower wrap three lengths of Polished pink ribbon around the top right corner, I used a little tape to secure then down on the back. Add this Panel to the card front. On a scrap of Basic White, stamp the sentiments from Lovely You. These are two separate sentiments, so take your time to line them up on your card. I practiced a couple of times on some copier paper first. With these stamps being Red Rubber I found it a bit trickier to get then lined up correctly, so the practice really helped. Once you have your sentiment stamped, trim and layer onto a scrap of Gray Granite card stock and trim to leave an even border. Add this to the centre of the card front with Dimensionals. Colour three of the Basic Rhinestones with your Mossy Meadow Stampin Blends, and the place in the top right of the sentiment piece. Finally tie a bow in the same Pink ribbon and add to the lower left of the sentiment panel with a glue dot. I hope you have enjoyed today's card. What do you think of the colours?
